<p>The French shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/745" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="JFA Yachts (Company)">JFA Yachts</a> has launched its first <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7506" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Long Island 7823.72m (77'10&quot;)JFA Yachts2020">Long Island 78 Power</a> catamaran before taking her out for sea trials. The 23.72-metre yacht is built for long voyages with an aluminium hull and composite superstructure to the design of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/998" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marc Lombard SARL (Company)">Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/174468/image/large-f0d25d5a4391c7227ee2f41350e7e132.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/174468"> <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/174466/image/large-dd888e24b967e4049879a9ff79ece4fc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/174466"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/174467/image/large-8cc357fc025cf15e1e5085984c708b77.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/174467">The interior layout by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/279" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Franck Darnet Design (Company)">Darnet Design</a> includes plenty of social spaces on the main deck such as a galley, saloon, dining room, navigation station and outdoor foredeck area with seawater swimming pool. Powered by two 500hp Cummins main engines, the cruising speed of the new fuel-efficient yacht is predicted to be 12 knots with a maximum speed of 15 knots.</p>
