The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2023 will be returning in June for its 16th edition, held in the glorious waters surrounding Sardinia. Organised by the YCCS, with the support of title sponsor Giorgio Armani, the regatta is open to sailing yachts of over 27 metres and multihulls of over 15 metres, and is a week filled with superb competitive racing.

Portofino Regate di Primavera 2023 is an invitation-only sailing event filled with some of the best-known Italian boat manufacturers. The regatta returns in June, and will include all of the traditional events, as well as a few new ones. The season’s most important event, the Rolex Giraglia, comprises three days of inshore racing from Sanremo/Saint-Tropez to Genoa.

Superyachts Prediction and A&amp;A in Portofino, Italy

Pictured here in the quaint Italian fishing town of Portofino during this past summer season are the two Dutch-built superyachts Prediction and A&amp;A. The 43-metre Prediction was built by Hakvoort in 1991 to a design by Diana Yacht Design with an interior by Felix Buytendijk. Her owner went on to build another yacht at the same shipyard in 2000, named Lady Duvera. On her port side lies the classic 44.7-metre Feadship superyacht A&amp;A, built in 1966 as Westlake III. At the time of her launch Westlake III was the first Feadship to feature a fully-raised wheelhouse. Her extended travels over the years give this well-maintained legend a colourful history.

Northrop and Johnson has announced two sales to SuperYachtTimes.com. Firstly the sale of Antarctica, a 44.71m Feadship, sold by Kevin Merrigan and Luuk van Zanten of Yacht Marketing Limited. Antarctica, a classic gentleman’s motoryacht, has a history as colorful as her worldwide travel. Well loved and maintained, she was reluctantly for sale and offered at $6,950,000. Michael Nethersole, Sales Broker at Northrop and Johnson, assisted long time client and yachtsman, Peter deSavary, in the purchase of the sailing yacht with Wallace Donker of Ardell Yachts &amp; Ships in Fort Lauderdale. Gloria has been refitted twice, in 2002 and 2006. She features a large owner’s cabin situated aft with en-suite bathroom and accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms. Her new owner plans to sail the Mediterranean this summer and the Caribbean in the winter.
