What to expect at the 2019 Dubai International Boat Show

The 47.5 metre superyacht from ISA, Aquamarina, has completed her refit in Australia. Italian company Videoworks worked together with the shipyard to undertake the refit, and recently flew three technicians direct to the superyacht in order to completely renew the hardware and software system.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151586/image/large-64ee7830a0e8ec3ff73ad54503d2f48f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151586">Videoworks disassembled all the Racks in Italy in the Videoworks headquarters lab in Ancona and then sent them to Australia. They were completed and tested in Cairns upon arrival.Hardware upgrades, these include net onboard with 20 access points and VLAN Controller; A/V Racks disassembly and new Racks installations with new components: Kaleidescape, Apple TV, iTunes library, multimedia contents, AirPlay system; and High Definitions in all areas thanks to last generation TVs.In regards to software, a selection of mini iPads are found around the boat, allowing for the management of things such as curtains, entertainment and lights in an easy, intuitive and quick way.Aquamarina is the second large superyacht project undertaken by Videoworks in recent months, with the company also collaborating with Pride Yachts new build project in China, the 88.8 metre Illusion.By Gemma Fottles

The finish of a yacht is everything. It sets the standard for the vessel from the day she leaves the yard, and a yacht that ‘has the finish’ turns heads wherever she goes. The 47 metre Aquamarina certainly turned heads when she sailed out of Rivergate Marina &amp; Shipyard after an intense six month maintenance period. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/139126/image/large-048c3a63789b2a99d8fa3b7e1cbabebb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139126">Appointed principal contractor by the vessel’s Monaco-based managers, Yachting Partners International (YPI), Rivergate completed the work within budget and ahead of schedule whilst ensuring the quality of workmanship on Aquamarina met the clients’ high expectations. The primary focus of the refit was the complete exterior refinish which was undertaken by Rivergate’s contractor, Superyacht Solutions. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/139127/image/large-e8080e05d1f8f3e5b8a03f4c46faa232.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139127">Superyacht Solutions has a ongstanding international reputation for large scale applications of special effect coatings on vessels. This was no ordinary paint job, it incorporated unique colours, effects and specialised equipment and techniques. It was also the largest white boat special effect refinish to be completed in Australia! The coatings used on the project were formulated in Europe by DuPont and air freighted to Australia specifically for the Aquamarina project. The hull was finished in a glacier metallic blue and the superstructure in a stunning pearlescent. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/139128/image/large-b3d8aa3a7fb60cd89057614b5769a1dd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139128">The formulations, applications, colour and effect of the eight coats of metallic applied to the hull and the ten coats of pearlescent applied to the superstructure had to meet exacting criteria. Prior to the final coatings being applied to the vessel, test panels underwent digital testing with Dual Wavescan and Cloud Runner technologies. This was to ensure all aspects of the design and application criteria would deliver the result required by the clients. It is interesting that these technologies are also used by prestige automobile manufacturers (e.g. Bentley, BMW and Jaguar) to set criteria, test values and provide outcomes for their prestige vehicle coatings. The collaboration of Rivergate and Superyacht Solutions on Aquamarina has focused attention on the high standards this team delivers, even when the project is technically demanding, time constrained and rigorous. Rivergate’s Manager, Andrew Cannon, says that DuPont Performance Coatings, have expressed their considerable satisfaction with the results, describing the finish as “fantastic”. YPI has also been effusive in its praise of the professionalism of Rivergate and its team, the results achieved and the redelivery ahead of schedule. Superyacht Aquamarina's intense six month maintenance period

The Monaco Yacht Show 2007 - Day 2

The latest yacht to come out of ISA is set to wow the yachting industry with its Aquamarina (named after the yacht) special metallic paint finish on her hull and blue pearlescent on her superstructure. These exciting colors add a new dimension to the already widely acclaimed curving lines and external surfaces of the 47m line; this is the seventh steel/aluminum yacht to be produced to this design at the shipyard in Ancona, Italy. <div align="center">

The owner, his team, Yachting Partners International and the shipyard staff have worked in close collaboration to achieve this outstanding result; in particular with the planning and coordination of the various teams of specialist applicators which have worked throughout the progressive phases of the building of the yacht. The paint system used was supplied by manufacturers from the Akzo Nobel Group and included a full paint system from Awlgrip with subsequent special metallic finishes from Sikkens paints. Last but not least, this yacht has a dazzling interior design that generated from the close cooperation between the Cristiano Gatto Design team and the Owners. 
This jewel of a vessel, which has been launched on the 9th December, is sure to turn many heads wherever in the seven seas she sails. The event was spectacular with a final magnificent fireworks show which went on under the eyes of the Owners, their friends, the new investors and about 2500 friends of ISA.
