<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5456" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Italian Vessels Cantieri Navali (Company)">Italian Vessels&nbsp;</a>in Termoli on Italy’s Adriatic coast has turned the finished hull of its first project, a 28.5-metre pocket explorer yacht in build on speculation. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/89662/image/large-03139663fec3066bd1ca9c5a4f5af1ad.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89662">Designed by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> with engineering by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Umberto Tagliavini - Marine Design & Services (Company)">Umberto Tagliavini,</a> the steel and aluminium Enjoy 93.9&nbsp;is based on a flexible technical platform that can be combined with different superstructures and a choice of interior layouts.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/89660/image/large-0e5353a12fb8a2028f0c2d51b6e0ae3b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89660"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/89665/image/large-3f0e30cf4de3401b54901fa3fef3e9fc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89665">The explorer-style Enjoy has a superstructure that is positioned forward to leave more room on the open aft deck for carrying tenders and toys, whereas the Wide model has a more conventional profile with a longer upper deck aft. A series of trawler-style vessels, the Ice-Class 94 and 115, are also under development.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/89691/image/large-1d22cef7e14761224d8dcb934e6422c3.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89691"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5456" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Italian Vessels Cantieri Navali (Company)">Italian Vessels</a> was established by Mario Parigi and his two sons, Marco and Eugenio, on the site of the defunct <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2385" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cantieri Navali di Termoli (Company)">Cantieri di Termoli&nbsp;</a>shipyard. They purchased the facility in late 2014 at a bankruptcy auction and are investing in a new 260-tonne travel lift and upgrading the site to meet the latest safety and environmental regulations. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/89692/image/large-ac6741b8fc5c7e448711a06cc2e7be5b.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89692"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2385" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cantieri Navali di Termoli (Company)">Cantieri di Termoli</a> mostly built workboats, ocean-going tugs and fuel tankers, but it also launched a few large yachts, including 36-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/943" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Aquila36.12m (118'6&quot;)Fratelli D'Amato S.p.A.2003">Sea Wish&nbsp;</a>(2003), 27-metre<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7826" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Bugia 27.0m (88'7&quot;)Cantieri Navali di Termoli2006">&nbsp;Bugia&nbsp;</a>(2006) and 50-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3815" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beatrix50.0m (164'1&quot;)Cantieri Navali di Termoli2015">Beatrix&nbsp;</a>that was designed by<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">&nbsp;Spadolini&nbsp;</a>with interiors by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Salvagni Architetti (Company)">Achille Savlvagni&nbsp;</a>and finished in 2015 shortly after the yard was acquired by the Parigi family.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/89684/image/large-833439d66fb596887501525a212ba56c.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89684">CEO Mario Parigi is an experienced captain and former owner of the Nautilus marina and shipyard in Fiumicino near Rome, while his sons have focused on the commercial and production side of the marine business. The new facility is still gearing up, but by the time it is fully operational it will have around 40 full-time employees on site. No outside investors are involved and the yard is fully owned by the Parigi family.&nbsp;“We’re in this for the long term and not just as a financial investment,” says Marco Pargi. “A sign of that commitment is that we’ve been willing to start building our first project on spec.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/89686/image/large-b9e80fc6909e9f4f68c9b7ac52a48a01.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89686">The tri-deck layouts of the Enjoy and Wide models are very similar and provide a high level of flexibility in a compact package.
