The TYBA Charter Show is an annual yacht charter exhibition organized by the Turkish Yacht Brokers Association (TYBA). The highly anticipated <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show 2026 - 7th">Turkish Yacht and Broker Association Charter Show</a> (TYBA) returns for its seventh edition from 7 to 11 May in Marmaris, Turkey. Here’s a preview of a curated selection of high-end gulets, motor yachts and sailing vessels making their way to the stunning Aegean town for an unforgettable showcase at this year’s show.&nbsp;Noyan Mutlugil, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show 2026 - 7th">TYBA</a> Chairman of Show Committee, highlights how this year's show is the celebration of "a 47-year-old legacy of yacht charter shows in Marmaris. The idea for the first charter show in the region was initiated in 1979 by Jim and Jill Anderson, who were living in Marmaris at the time and pioneered the idea of holding a yacht show in the area. Following this initial attempt in 1979, the first official yacht charter show gained international recognition from 1981 onwards."The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show 2026 - 7th">TYBA</a> Association has taken over this legacy and continues to develop it with the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show 2026 - 7th">TYBA</a> Yacht Charter Show. Except for a two-year break due to the pandemic, this tradition has continued uninterrupted for almost fifty years. "With this deep-rooted history, the charter show tradition in Turkey is considered the second oldest ongoing organisation in the world (the first being the Antigua Charter Yacht Show)" shares Noyan.The event, held in the shadow of the historic Marmaris Castle, will showcase the most distinguished commercial charter yachts representing Turkish yachting. The fair offers an ideal platform for brokers to inspect yachts, meet crew members, and strengthen professional relationships in the international charter market. This year's show will have 49 yachts attending, more than 35 of which are over 24-metres. Camper &amp; Nicholsons International have sold the 39.60 metre Ariela, with Ocean Independence introducing the buyers. Fraser Yachts have recently sold the 75.13 metre Phocea. Phocea was built as a cruise ship by the French shipyard DCAN in 1976. In 1999/2000 she underwent a major interior and exterior refit at Lürssen in Germany.
