The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2023 will be returning in June for its 16th edition, held in the glorious waters surrounding Sardinia. Organised by the YCCS, with the support of title sponsor Giorgio Armani, the regatta is open to sailing yachts of over 27 metres and multihulls of over 15 metres, and is a week filled with superb competitive racing.

Portofino Regate di Primavera 2023 is an invitation-only sailing event filled with some of the best-known Italian boat manufacturers. The regatta returns in June, and will include all of the traditional events, as well as a few new ones. The season’s most important event, the Rolex Giraglia, comprises three days of inshore racing from Sanremo/Saint-Tropez to Genoa.

Designer Knud E. Hansen has announced the successful delivery of two customised sisterships, motor yachts <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5944" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Poseidon26.05m (85'6&quot;)">Poseidon&nbsp;</a>and<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5943" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Arizona26.05m (85'6&quot;)">&nbsp;Arizona</a>. Built by Holland Jachtbouw in Zaandam, the motor yachts are currently moored in a marina north of Copenhagen.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/50673/image/large-acde669100af90b94034841b30d0d15b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/50673">Their Danish owners took delivery of the 26-metre explorer style motor yachts earlier this month. Both will be used as private vessels, mainly cruising the Baltics, Denmark and Norway, according to Knud E. Able to accommodate up to 10 guests overnight, both vessels are also designed to be operated by a minimum of two people, following the demand for shorthanded operations. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/50665/image/large-1095a80efdc2463e342290fa2449a0ec.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/50665">In addition, both superyachts are equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that consists of diesel generators with batteries serving as an auxiliary power source. This silent power source ensures that the vessels are able to cruise the most pristine areas quietly, without any harmful emissions or engine noises. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/50663/image/large-c83f43a41e95d8fefdd61af8716c6b8c.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/50663">In order to save fuel when cruising at lower speeds, the hybrid system is able to operate on only one main engine which can run both propellers. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5944" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Poseidon26.05m (85'6&quot;)">Poseidon</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5943" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Arizona26.05m (85'6&quot;)">Arizona</a> have a maximum speed of 12 knots and an economical speed of 10 knots.

Delivered: Two 26m Knud E. Hansen superyachts Poseidon and Arizona 

Designer Knud E. Hansen has released more information about their latest design, for two customized sisterships, which both have their own distinct look. The two 26 metre yachts are currently under construction at Holland Jachtbouw, as hull number 099 and 100.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154775/image/large-459ead6ed59fca523ce89f598949febd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154775">The model is designed to be operated by a crew of only two, and will offer luxurious accommodation for up to 12 persons, which can be any mix of crew and passengers.The reinforced steel hulls and aluminum superstructures will allow the yachts to navigate the Baltic and North Atlantic all year round. They will feature a hybrid propulsion system, which consists of diesel main engines and a series of batteries, which allows the yacht to cruise without any engine noise or emissions.Knud E. Hansen tells SuperYachtTimes.com that the designs will be available for repeat constructions of similar yachts, at different shipyards. The design- and IP-rights belong to newly established Danish company Poseidon Shipbuilding ApS, who have signed a sales and marketing agreement with DBC Marine ApS, Denmark for the world market.By Maarten Janssen

Holland Jachtbouw has signed a new order for a 26 metre Explorer superyacht intending to cruise extensively in the Baltic and polar regions. Project number 099 will be constructed for an experienced and highly involved owner.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154533/image/large-b4d0f9b481d3b1e722b96c71c9a01c0f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154533">The yacht will be constructed with a reinforced steel hull and an aluminium superstructure.She will be powered by a tailor made hybrid system with a cross shaft option to power the vessel, which means that both CPP propellors can be run from either one or two main engines.By Maarten Janssen
