The 47m superyacht Ari in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca

Captured earlier this week in the bay of Santa Ponsa on the island of Mallorca is Heesen Yachts’ 47-metre superyacht Ari. Launched as Air in 2010, Ari is the shipyard’s sixth hull in its 47-metre displacement class and follows in the wake of yachts such as Yalla, Let it Be, Mon Plaisir, and Blind Date. Air’s interior has been designed by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, who created a classic contemporary style that makes use of ultra-modern loose furniture to create a cosy environment.

Thom Conboy of Merle Wood has succeeded in selling Blind Date. Burgess respresented the buyer, who can look forward to owning a 46.7 metre Heesen superyacht. Superyacht Blind Date Sold

Keech Green explains: "With storage of spare table leaves a key issue, our design for the formal dining table on the Main Deck was inspired by the original Robert Jupe table. At it’s most compact the table sits 8 persons. There is no need to remove any part of the table for storage elsewhere. As the design developed, it was decided that walls lining the staircase should be finished in antiqued bronze metal. Heesen's Blind Date in Gibraltar

Heesen Yachts is proud to announce the signing of a new contract for a 47-metre displacement motor-yacht, Hull Number 15747, for delivery in 2012.<img src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/130098/image/large-426891743c8f583d7e443fdb9f65a240.jpg" alt="" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/130098">This new building contract is even more special for the Company since the client is Frans Heesen, former owner and founder of the shipyard who comments: “I am delighted to start the new year by announcing the contract for my own new boat, which my wife and I signed some days ago! I am planning to spend many joyful days with my family and numerous grandchildren aboard this beautiful 47-metre.” This is the second yacht under construction for Frans after the 4400-series, My Petra, which was delivered to him in June 2009.<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3071" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">YN 15747</a> is the eighth yacht in Heesen’s highly successful 47-metre full-displacement series and, as such, is the sister-ship to YN 14347, M/Y <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1269" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Blind Date</a> (2009); the award winning YN 14047, M/Y <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/54" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Elandess</a> (2008); YN 13547, M/Y <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/49" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Mon Plaisir</a> (2007); YN 13147, M/Y <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Let it Be</a> (2006); and YN 12247, M/Y <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/277" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Yalla</a> (2004). Heesen Yachts signs order for 47m superyacht

Instead we will bring our readers a daily superyacht special, starting with an update on Heesen Yachts.Heesen Yachts has announced that following the launching and delivery of hull number 14647, 4YOU, other sizeable hulls were repositioned within the shipyard in Oss. The outfitting of hull number 14955 has now started in Building Hall 7, while hull number 15250 was moved into Building Hall 1 for completion. 4YOU Following intensive sea trials in the North Sea Heesen Yachts is proud to announce that the delivery of <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1564">4YOU</a> has now taken place. This 47-metre is a sister-ship of hull number 12947, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/474">Sirocco</a>, (launched in 2006) and hull number 14247, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/56">Celestial Hope</a> (launched in 2008). Her interior design was conceived by Omega Architects, who created a fresh contemporary style rich yet understated with clean lines and luxurious details. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129803/image/large-349c1a4cd14313a389a5f840eddfa7e6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129803">Guests arriving on the main deck aft are welcomed into the vast main saloon, passing first through an art-embellished lobby. This leads on into a social area furnished with coffee tables, armchairs and pouffes where an eight-seater table, custom made from American walnut and topped with leather, is inlaid with intricate patterns of matt silver. The room's soft colour palette, focuses on tones of beige and taupe set against the pale background of a creamy silk carpet, while the use of semi-gloss varnish also contributes to the relaxed and cool atmosphere. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129804/image/large-f2a6df012932aae22faa18aab2a32c89.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129804"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129805/image/large-06b5f4538c838cc62590da3b5735d7cc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129805">Guests can also enjoy the second saloon on the upper deck, where a brightly lit sky lounge offers three comfortable sofas and a choice of poufs that can also serve as coffee tables. Here, guests can enjoy live music from a baby-grand piano that dominates the aft portion of the room, while the plasma screen is hidden by a unique piece of art deco-inspired art, made by Dutch glass maker Glass Déco, this combines several panels of glass, delicately coloured in pale blue and light gold, to create a marine scene. A further example of inlaid stainless steel can be seen in the doors of a dark wood cabinet. An elegant full-service bar topped with American walnut and white Carrara marble is positioned aft, adjacent to the sliding doors that give access to the aft portion of the bridge deck, where the primary function is open air dining. One deck above is the sundeck whose centre portion, like <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1564">4YOU</a>'s sister-ship <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/474">Sirocco</a>, can be partially enclosed. This deck offers an open-air fitness centre and a spa pool area that can be fully covered by an awning supported by carbon-fibre retractable pillars. Eight guests can be accommodated on the lower deck in four cabins, of which two are twins and two are VIP doubles. Located forward on the main deck, the master suite is entered through the owner's office and leads on through a pair of walk-in wardrobes to the master bedroom, which occupies the yacht's full beam. Hull Number 15250<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129806/image/large-e0601e9663d21f81fff5a9bdc2fcb621.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129806">In October the first yacht in the new 5000 class hull number <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470">15250</a>, a semi-displacement 50-metre motor-yacht of below 500GT was moved from Building Hall 6, where the hull was welded, into Building Hall 1, where she will be completed. Her interior, conceived by the renowned French designer Rémi Tessier, is in minimalist style, while remaining totally luxurious. Hull Number 14955 The fully customised 55-metre semi-displacement motor yacht, Hull Number <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1549">14955 </a>has been moved into Building Hall 7 for completion. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129809/image/large-e1859dfa5c110900a036731bd0b41535.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129809">This represents the biggest yacht to be built at Heesen to date. Powered by a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M93 diesel engines, each developing 5,600hp and each driving a five-blade propeller, she will reach the remarkable speed of 24 knots. This performance is, in part, due to Heesen's in-house Naval Architecture Department who conceived innovative hull lines with a large flare rising up to the chine that deflects spray and improves the sea-keeping ability of the vessel. Drawn by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the exterior styling of this yacht is characterized by two main features the huge windows with arched tops and bottoms, positioned amidships, that draw in extraordinary amounts of light while providing the guests with wide vistas, and the unique rounded and cantilevered side-deck balconies that extend from the owner's suite. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129810/image/large-a4355639365e7d8354fa8e1324cf8d17.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129810">The futuristic interior design sprung from the creative genius of Ken Freivokh Design which, among other stunning details, sports a triple height atrium with glass lift, steps and walls, and a waterfall that tumbles from the sundeck pool into a second custom-built pool located on the bridge deck aft. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129811/image/large-280eb48d28742da6050f08b468b914a4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129811">Another interesting feature on this fully custom 55-metre that is due for launch in 2011 is the 'wet dock' in the stern tender garage that allows the tender and the water toys to be floated in, before the dock is drained. In addition, the windows of the owner’s suite have been doubled in size to deliver a total of 12.5 sqm of natural light to the bedroom and study.Changes have also been made to the crew quarters, whose functionality has been improved with a spacious laundry room to starboard, accessed directly from the crew mess.Powered by a pair of MTU 8V 4000 M70, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1269" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Blind Date</a> will reach a maximum speed of over 15 knots.
