Yesterday, the first Vicem Vulcan 32 metre RPH was launched. The yacht, Bronko I, is designed by Frank Mulder. Superyacht launch preview: The Vicem Vulcan 32 metre RPH Bronko I

In 2008 Vicem Yachts embarked on a development program for the new Vulcan Line of superyachts over 30 metres with the sole resources of internal capital financing. Vicem is undertaking an important business expansion plan and is enlarging its horizons beyond mahogany construction into high-tech composite construction with three new sleek, fast yachts, including a 46m, 35m and 32m for its Vulcan Line. All three yachts will be launched between 2011 and 2012. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/134063/image/large-adf843b051a9873f1b9150fc630ef6ff.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134063">In order to continue with speeds in the 20 plus knots range and keep draft as shallow as possible for USA/Bahamas operation, Vicem decided on Cored Fibreglass construction for this series. The first step was joining forces with Dutch naval architect and designer Frank Mulder who has designed many well known fast superyachts worldwide.To utilize the state of the art in fibreglass yacht construction, Mulder specified core-cell and epoxy resin for the entire structure. Core-cell has the best characteristics of any core material for “off gassing”, insuring a finished hull and superstructure that can be painted in any colour. The hull and superstructure are also post-cured with large heat blankets after lamination, ensuring a fair and smooth appearance with any colour.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/134064/image/large-9df9f0f4d1c5525d149dd5f0ab07aff7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134064">The Vulcan Line yachts are built in a state-of-the-art facility in Antalya, Turkey. Composite materials applied with resin and sandwich techniques, are chosen to achieve the best possible strength-to-weight ratios.“We want a reputation as a builder of light, beautiful and fast hulls” says Alberto Perrone Da Zara – Vicem Yachts CEO. “Vicem is entering the superyacht segment with serious ambitions and with no compromise; the highest quality building materials and technologies that compare favourably to Northern Europe Shipyards.” The 46 metre superyacht has involved Dutch naval architect Frank Mulder and noted interior design firm Art Line Interiors. “On a boat this size, with such high expectations of performance, the choice of the ‘right’ naval architect was an important one. With the assistance of outstanding design firms such as Frank Mulder for exterior and naval architecture, and Art Line for the interiors, Vicem set out to build a 46 meter semi-displacement superyacht, achieving 25 knots as top speed, while maintaining high-efficiency cruising and long range capability of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, thus creating an extremely versatile ship. Art Line Studio designed the Vulcan 46m interior, bringing a new definition to the word luxury.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/134067/image/large-78a45ff9cd95616f0b5160df6ca21297.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134067">Vulcan 35 metre TrideckWhen designing the 35m Trideck, Vicem wanted to incorporate spaces and volumes found in much larger tri-deck motor yachts in a 35 metre hull. A Frank Mulder design, this Tri-deck provides excellent quality of life on board for up to 12 guests and is certified for RINA Short Range Charter Class. The generous exterior spaces on three decks are complemented by a beach pad that appears from the drop down stern garage, allowing guests to fully enjoy their rest and relaxation by the sea. With a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 1,600 nautical miles at 12 knots makes this Vicem creation a very versatile player in this superyacht segment.
