Delivered in 2020 by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1821" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Damen Yachting (Company)">Damen Yachting</a> and refitted earlier this year in Genoa, the 62-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6182" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Anawa62.0m (203'5&quot;)Damen Yachting2020">Anawa</a> features a custom design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/37" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture (Company)">Azure Yacht Design &amp; Naval Architecture</a> and interiors by Carlo Torre of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7193" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Yacht Temptation (Company)">Monaco Yacht Temptation</a>. The 1,886 GT Polar Class yacht was built for 30 days of autonomous travel and includes expedition-ready facilities such as twin tender garages, a dive store, and a helipad. 60m+ explorer superyachts Anawa and Cupani in Vigo

The two explorer superyachts Anawa and Cupani were recently spotted docked here in Vigo, Spain.

The owner that commissioned the yacht (under the name Turmoil) originally was an experienced yachtsman and was inspired by his previous yacht, the smaller 46.20-metre aluminium Turmoil - now named <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/138" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pioneer46.2m (151'7&quot;)">Pioneer</a> - built by Palmer Johnson in 1996. She is a self sufficient world explorer, and is the largest Royal Denship explorer vessel built to date. Of her many notable features is a helicopter deck as well as the ability to carry three large tenders on board, including one of up to 40’ and two more of 25’. The vessel was acquired by her current owner last year after she as listed for sale at $48,500,000.

The 64m explorer superyacht Albula

This summer the Dutch commercial shipbuilder Hartman Marine Group merged with Royal Denship. The company already has a 24 metre motor yacht in-build and has laid the keel for a 42 metre explorer superyacht on 21 December 2015.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157740/image/large-c3177cf910437ceabddb19f44886e566.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157740">In 2009 Royal Denship was declared bankrupt, but in the mid-2000s the company had created a name for itself with the construction of several well-known yachts, including the 78.60 metre Princess Mariana (now Pegasus VIII) and the 63 metre Turmoil. At that time the superyachts were built at different shipyards in Denmark, however the new Royal Denship yachts will be built in Urk, the Netherlands.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157741/image/large-235929775f424594acd403b4895f3f49.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157741">The 24 metre motor yacht is due for delivery in March 2016. The 42 metre explorer superyacht is designed by Kroes &amp; Poortinga and she will be delivered in 2017. In regards to her performance, she is powered by twin CAT engines of 2,260 hp each, providing her with a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a range of 6,500 nm. The 63.84m explorer superyacht Turmoil in Belfast 

Ahead of the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games which will be held in Rio de Janeiro from the 5th to 21st of August next summer, Brazil Yacht Services (BYS) has released a yacht logistics overview, detailing superyacht berthing and important information for superyachts during the event.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156168/image/large-34cc3a39a9b30fe16c7c13a5754ee7d5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156168">The overview names Guanabara Bay (Baía de Guanabara) as the most adequate anchorage zone for yachts in Rio, with the city located on its western shore and the cities of Niterói and São Gonçalo to the east. The city’s two closest airports are conveniently located on the shores of the Bay, Galeão - Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport and Santos Dumont Airport.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156169/image/large-655485e43b32b2ec8072b77c0f79790f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156169">The 2016 Games’ Olympic Sailing competitions will take place at the Marina de Glória in Guanabara Bay, though the area is currently going through a substantial - and highly criticised - clean-up process.The berthing plan for Pier Maua (Porto Maravilha) located in the Santo Cristo area of Rio in Guanabara Bay includes the utilisation for a 200 metre quay, and will be a federal police secured area with restricted access to yacht owners, vehicles, security and guests. It will be fully segregated from the cruise ship terminal, with water and power still to be confirmed by the Port Manager, though BYS has stated they will source trucks and generators. Distance from Pier Maua to the four main olympic venues range from 4.6 km to 31 km.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156170/image/large-5e0a501093f2363cb894c172f92bfa67.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156170">Limitations for superyachts in the area during the games include several exclusion zones for the sailing events, the closure of Marina de Glória for foreign yachts (though tender drop-off and access to the public is yet to be confirmed) and limitations for draught and moorings at Rio Yacht Club.Brazil Yacht Services itself offers a complete range of yacht services as well as established relations with some of the industry’s main global players, with the senior partners founding and sponsoring the first superyacht association established in Brazil, ABRASSI. Superyacht berthing at Rio Olympics 2016

The first yacht on our list is superyacht Akula, the converted 1974 explorer vessel. Formerly a Dutch pilot vessel Akula was converted to a rugged exploration yacht in 1999 by Vosper Thornycroft. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/141832/image/large-392a1deb4acca9444309ff4ca43e7b06.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136637">BMT Nigel Gee provided all naval architecture and structural design for the conversion including the addition of a flight deck and helicopter hangar. A partial interior and extensive exterior refit was completed at H2X in La Ciotat in 2008 and engine and generator overhaul in Malta 2010. She is a wonderful example of a well-kept conversion from her working days as a Dutch Pilot vessel. Originally built in Holland to the highest Dutch naval specification, her condition today reflects her high standard of construction and the maintenance and care that has followed throughout her life until now. She now awaits a new owner to continue the enjoyments of a truly special vessel. Akula is being offered for sale by Bluewater at $ 10,950,000.Turmoil: Turmoil was built in 2006 and, since her launch, has traveled the oceans of the world. Turmoil is considered by many to be the finest expedition yacht ever built. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/141833/image/large-58ac534a1bbbcace34e3be2aa3c79839.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139656">With her ice-strenghtened hull and 6500 mile range, she was built to travel great distances to any part of the world. The owner and captain that built the yacht had a great deal of experience with this type of vessel from 10 years of traveling in their first expedition yacht, the 151' Palmer Johnson of the same name. With this experience they built the 209' Royal Denship and she has proven to be one of the most exceptional yachts of her class. A unique feature that many people can appreciate is Turmoil's capacity for carrying three large tenders including one 35 to 40 footer and two 25 footers. This makes for great exploring when you reach remote locations and it is a feature very few large yachts share. Stepping inside Turmoil, guests are greated by her stunning American Cherry woodwork which flows throughout the boat, rivalling some of the finest yachts built. There is a complete owner's deck under the pilothouse which is similar to a good sized apartment and includes two staterooms, a beautiful observation lounge facing forward and a private outside aft deck. Turmoil has a total of eight staterooms and can accommodate 16 guests and 14 crew. She also has a large helicopter deck. Turmoil is for sale with Camper &amp; Nicholson's International, and is asking $ 48,500,000.Lone Ranger: This spectacular vessel started her life in 1973 as an ocean going tug. For her first twenty years she worked towing oil platforms, floating docks and other ships around the world as well as salvaging casualties, including tankers, freighters and bulk carriers. She was one of the largest and most powerful tugs of that time, often spending up to one hundred days straight on station in the North Atlantic. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/141834/image/large-7292318f59680f6628454a4081aea404.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139059">In 1994 she was purchased by a knowledgeable yachtsman and under the guidance of Kusch Yachts in Hamburg, Germany, she underwent a thorough conversion into a private yacht. In 1997 she was sold and gain underwent several refits in Miami that included the engine room, bridge area, deck and interior accommodation areas. This refit was extensive and was designed to give the owner years of comfortable world cruising. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/141835/image/large-a3ea4292a22f7333bf8bb024c70b4c85.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/139060">Lone Ranger has a 31,000 mile range at 12 knots, with Quantum stabilizers (installed in 2004) for greater comfort. In the last decade Lone Ranger has cruised the world several times, including a trip to Antarctica and the Arctic polar ice cap - she can break ice! She is ideally suited for cruising all oceans in comfort and style, yet keeping a low profile. Her interior features a large master suite with private owner’s library/study and four spacious guest staterooms, all ensuite. The large open deck space, including a basketball court, swimming pool and helicopter pad, plus her ability to carry a 40’ cabin cruiser and numerous small boats, adds to her many amenities.
