Cyclos III Yacht
Cyclos III Yacht Overview
About Cyclos III Yacht
Cyclos III, the legendary masterpiece hailing from the renowned Royal Huisman shipyard in The Netherlands, is a nautical marvel that has left an indelible mark on the world of luxury yachting. This sailing giant, with an impressive overall length of 42.36 meters, first graced the seas in 1990 and was with her innovative battery energy storage considered one of the most expensive sailing yachts of her time. Crafted with precision and opulence her two circumnavigations are testament to her engineering excellence and maritime innovation.
The original owner wanted to break with traditional design of fast sailing yachts of the 1980s which were often lacking the comfort. The exterior bears the distinctive yet timeless touch of Ron Holland Design, while the interior exudes sophistication curated by the masterful hands of interior design by Winch Design. Up to 10 guests can be accommodated on board the superyacht in unparalled comfort. Cyclos III also has accommodation for 6 crew members, including the ship's captain. Cyclos III has an aluminium hull and an aluminium superstructure. The yacht carries 21,000 litres of fuel on board. Her top speed of 17 knots still makes her one of the fastest sailings yachts to date.
The current owner has achieved to maintain the yacht in excellent and original condition, including the interior designed by Andrew Winch. In 2017, the sailing yacht underwent a comprehensive restoration, including a fresh paint job, the installation of a new teak deck, as well as the addition of two new Reckmann headsail furlers.
CYCLOS III is still considered one of the most innovative yachts in the world and is still (thanks to her condition) one of the reference points for judging the sailing qualities of megayachts.
Cyclos III is for sale with the price on application (VAT paid), and can be purchased via Cyclos III Yacht.
