Superyacht C2 off Santa Margherita, Italy

The 78.43 metre superyacht C2 was built by Abeking &amp; Rasmussen in 2008 as the successor to another superyacht by the same shipyard, the 57.30 metre Ultima III (now named Diamond A). Both the interiors and exteriors of C2 are designed by Reymond Langton Design. Following the launch of C2, Abeking &amp; Rasmussen built another three nearly identical yachts over the next three years, named Eminence, Titan and Amaryllis. During the Summer season C2 cruises the Mediterranean and can often be found around St Barths or other Caribbean islands during the winter months.

Originally ordered by a client from the far east, the yacht was sold during her construction to the current owners of superyacht C2. During her time under that ownership, she was kept as a highly private vessel, just as C2 is now being kept equally private. It wasn't until her owner put her up for sale a couple of years ago, that the yacht was first shown to the world. Under her current owners,as Diamond A, she is available for charter. Superyacht Diamond A in St. Barth's

Superyacht Diamond A has long been exclusively a private superyacht, that is, until recently. The Abeking &amp; Rasmussen-built vessel (ex-Ultima III) is nowadays available for charter through Hill Robinson. Divided into the lounge aft and dining area fore, the open plan saloon is just that: open, not only in layout, but also in ambiance, with playful textures in upholstery combined with high-gloss woodwork for the armchairs, and surprising combinations of shapes, textures and materials. Everything mixes and matches, forming a saloon that is rich in personality and classically elegant. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145468/image/large-e73ff78faf520c03654b5e0e1abed7cd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145468">The lounge offers large sofas and big, comfortable armchairs as key ingredients, where the dining room is a more toned down, yet equally charming space with a large circular table surrounded by lean, classic chairs, all in a design based on warm, natural colours of wood, caramel leather upholstery and a golden colour scheme. As a whole, the main saloon presents an exquisite design that borders on eclectic, yet retains an undeniably elegant posture and a sweet disposition.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145469/image/large-126ee984f94b32ed16ff5de01b5514f0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145469">Moving fore from the voluminous main saloon, through the central lobby, the master suite can be discovered. Here, the full beam accommodation consists of a large stateroom, spacious office and lounge rooms, large en suite with his and hers areas and ample storage space. The stateroom is light, clean and subtly retro in style, mainly consisting of a white and navy blue colour scheme, playfully patterned carpeting and gentle lighting. Once inside, the overall ambiance twists upon taking in the room's entire design, where the blue wall aft, contemporary art and splashes of vibrant turquoise in the armchair upholstery spice things up. Same goes for the adjacent office and lounge areas, where classic Venetian blinds are combined with bold upholstery and a postmodern approach to combining shapes, colours and materials. The result is a welcoming ambiance that is rich in personality.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145470/image/large-dd52a2edc72ec64f6088a669b0ea84fa.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145470">For the large en suite, calm is key, with white marble and warm wood as main ingredients, a more classic and soothing approach. Aside from the master suite, whose lounge and office areas each have their own en suite and can be converted into double and twin suites, there are four luxurious double suites on the lower deck, plus one twin and an extra VIP suite located on the upper deck. Diamond A offers sumptuous guest accommodation for up to 12 charter guests for almost any guest configuration. The lower deck guest suites each offer large and light staterooms in modern design, with subtle Oriental influences. The all-white staterooms are paired with large en suites, each with large shower areas in modern classic style, again predominantly white.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145474/image/large-91091c55f2f8e91abeb9e8248c939607.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145474">Upstairs, the twin and VIP suites complete Diamond A's great selection of luxurious accommodation. Here, designs are equally light and modern, with the VIP suite presenting a wonderfully spacious en suite, with a large Jacuzzi tub.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145475/image/large-f7e8c208c7c47fb67ef386d50c8625d1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145475">Aside from the VIP and twin suites, the upper deck offers a sky lounge as a wonderfully stylish, light and pleasantly informal area for guests to lounge and relax whenever they please. The design is a mix of Arabian nights, oriental calm and rugged contemporary shapes and materials, resulting in a style that is elegant yet masculine. A large sofa is paired with texture-rich armchairs and a curvy chaise, making this lounge into a hospitable and informal space, with a style that is exotic, eclectic and contemporary.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145476/image/large-ba8d0469c9e2f4261bdf14dd082ffc5f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145476"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145477/image/large-4e09fa5c6346aae24d84842a15d6afcb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145477">Added to the spacious main aft deck, there's an wonderful big, airy upper aft deck, with large centrally placed round table for al fresco dining, surrounded by several comfy armchairs and lounge areas. This deck is the perfect space for any social occasion. Fore, a Portuguese bridge offers a wonderfully panoramic area with sofas and coffee tables, and a magnificent panoramic view. This area is particularly suitable for breakfasts, watching sunsets and intimate cocktail hours.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145478/image/large-7b1bf3d8d8e562fa7a90bc759b708b52.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145478">Last but certainly not least, Diamond A has a grand, spacious and open sun deck with an impressively large sunbathing area aft, including big sun loungers, a second al fresco dining area, and a large Jacuzzi with sun pads and lounge sofas fore. In Pictures: Superyacht C2 cruises into Gibraltar at sunrise

C2 is the second Abeking &amp; Rasmussen superyacht built for this owner. C2 is a close sistership to <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/60">Eminence</a>, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1128">Titan</a>, and <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2443">Amaryllis</a>. Abeking & Rasmussen’s 78 metre superyacht C2

At the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting David Price of Hill Robinson invited me for lunch on the 57 metre Diamond A (formerly Ultima III), as he was convinced that Head Chef Duncan Thomson and Chef Adam Rice would surprise me with some delicious cuisine. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/133503/image/large-fef82b20722cbd8ffbc2d154d2810f66.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/133149">We were welcomed onboard with Champagne by Captain Owen Jones in the main saloon of the yacht and he told us more about the yacht’s history. Her current owners purchased the yacht in 2009 and she subsequently underwent a major refit in Miami. During the refit, among other work, all the Audio-Visual Systems were upgraded and Quantum Zero Speed Stabilisers were installed. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/133504/image/large-28791c87f39c5098be9e5b146a925031.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/133504">After the captain had given us the tour, we took our places at the large round main dining table, which was beautifully set by Chief Stewardess Lana Greenwood and her team. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/133505/image/large-d1b3e519af957596564ef52edbbdab17.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/133505">We started with Seared Spanish Mackarel with Tomato Vinaigrette, Celery Seed, and Micro Celery and next came the main course; a Whole Roasted Sea Bass, Endive Braised in Orange Juice, Almonds, Saffron, and Champagne infused Green Grapes. The last course, but definitely not the least, was the dessert; Lemon Tartlette, Bruleed Meringue, Cardamom and Coconut Ice Cream with Pine Nut Praline. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/133506/image/large-0ca2f4e400da03fa6d5554f155c6afb7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/133506">Not only was the food, prepared by chefs Duncan and Adam, delicious but the quality of the service was outstanding as well. With a length of 57 metres, the German build yacht offers all the space and toys for a relaxed vacation in the Caribbean and the fantastic crew will make sure it will be an unforgettable experience.
