The group’s backgrounds range from composites to metal constructions, special engineering and 3D engineering, to project management. The Netherlands-based company is now one of the top trustworthy partners for high-end, bespoke shading solutions for yachts, delivering custom made solutions across the world. They have worked on over 100 yachts from 30 to 140-metres in length to create and build perfect custom-built products for each of their clients.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/247543/image/large-cce47c38e287f2094f2a70c15238e2c3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/247543">During the start-up period, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6888" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOL-MATES (Company)">SOL-MATES</a> acquired its competitor AMBER Sundesign. “We managed to salvage the engineering and some of the best people that were in the company. We used our <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6888" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOL-MATES (Company)">SOL-MATES</a> knowledge and values to improve products and service, all while keeping a good relationship with existing partners. The client wanted fully bespoke awnings and windbreakers for the helideck, as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6297" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sherpa73.6m (241'6&quot;)Feadship2018">Sherpa</a> has been known to travel to destinations across the world, including Antarctica. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6888" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOL-MATES (Company)">SOL-MATES</a> spent a lot of time testing these products to make sure they could withstand strong weather conditions and wind speeds of up to 50 knots. To do this, they tested the awnings on an automotive test track in Lelystad, the Netherlands.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/270436/image/large-21c6c1ab532847c32b0275a201cb240b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/270436">The team at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6888" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SOL-MATES (Company)">SOL-MATES</a> put the awnings on the back of a truck and drove around 95 kilometres an hour, testing and measuring them to see how well they worked. As a result of this, they are now comfortable enough to say that their tents are able to withstand up to 50 knots of wind!<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/270437/image/large-1bbc1c2c53abf2df1bd234f58e14998e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/270437">The bespoke and highly detailed uprights used for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6297" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sherpa73.6m (241'6&quot;)Feadship2018">Sherpa</a> were constructed with integrated lights so guests can enjoy the shelter all-day, and even at night. For operational flexibility, the awning and windbreakers have also been designed with fast and easy rigging or removal for crew. Eight superyachts gathered in sunny St. Thomas

The end of September marked a record-breaking 29th edition of the celebrated Monaco Yacht Show. The volume of 2,950 GT provides ample space for the 23 guests’ accommodation as well as living quarters for up to 33 crew members. The interior is described as ‘elegant without being overdone’ by her builder with <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/companies/terence-disdale">Disdale’s</a> signature use of natural materials such as wood, limestone, leather and mother of pearl all very evident throughout the yacht. Elsewhere in the interior, <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/dreamboat">DreAMBoat</a> is fitted with a sophisticated audio-visual system, high-tech ship’s operating computer and a heat recovery system for drinking water. Committed to operating the vessel based on environmentally-supportive principles, <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/dreamboat">DreAMBoat</a> has been issued with an inventory of hazardous materials (ECO-IHM) notation that sees her going beyond what is required to look after the environment around her.

New details have been revealed about <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a>'s latest 90-metre yacht (now named as DreAMBoat)&nbsp;which was rolled out in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands yesterday where SuperYacht Times was at the scene to deliver the <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/yacht-yasmin-y716" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">first photos</a> of the event. The vessel's design is a first-time collaboration between Norwegian designer <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/companies/espen-oeino">Espen Oeino</a> for her exterior design and <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/companies/terence-disdale">Terence Disdale</a> for her interiors. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/63964/image/large-fe25597d4c38377371d3071b47d42d64.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/63964">With a total gross tonnage of 2950, the 90-metre yacht DreAMBoat can accommodate up to 23 guests as well as a crew of 33. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, her appearance is classic and strong thanks to generous overhangs from the superstructure and cutouts in the bulwarks.&nbsp;<iframe width="710" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fZbX5iZFXl4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> In terms of her design, DreAMBoat&nbsp;features large windows in order to increase the natural light reaching the interior and offers uninterrupted views from the inside out. Her outdoor spaces and amenities include a large swimming pool located on the main aft deck, a huge partially enclosed sundeck with Jacuzzi and numerous spaces for relaxing and entertaining. In addition, the owner's deck also benefits from a private Jacuzzi.&nbsp;“The overall effect,” commented exterior designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Oeino International (Company)">Oeino</a>, “is a yacht with clean uncluttered lines and a coherent design.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/63851/image/large-e65584a7fb433f7493989f0851fb2e7b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/63851">The interiors on board the 90-metre yacht DreAMBoat&nbsp;are sophisticated and calming and replicate <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Terence Disdale Design (Company)">Terence Disdale</a>'s inimitable attention to detail. Almost everything on board the vessel, from the lighting to the furniture is custom made. Earlier this week the Dutch yard Oceanco hosted a group of journalists from all over the world for the annual press tour organised by the HISWA Holland Yachting Group. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/33540/image/large-bd6bc01ce9a3a7eea6aa6019946b3d5c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/33540">Along Oceanco’s quay was the recently launched 90-metre Luiz de Basto design known as Project Shark (above and underneath). The superyacht recently completed her sea trials and is expected to be delivered soon.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/33592/image/large-94d3d3029a28210cfe791a4219e9f906.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/33592"> Inside Oceanco’s outfitting facilities was the 90-metre Project Yasmin, which is due for delivery in 2019, and designed by Espen Oeino with an interior by Terence Disdale Design. Due to confidentiality agreements, no further details were revealed about the new projects.

Here we round up a selection of the top 10 biggest launches we can expect to see this year.Lürssen - 111mFirst catching a glimpse of the 111-metre latest Lürssen in late 2016, TIS spreads over six decks spanning 16.8 metres across, housing a very generous interior volume.
