So, what does it take to be a good project manager?<img src="/uploads/store/photo/90348/image/large-f8291d7d1edcac5bab3844a93675489d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/90348">Be there from the very beginningThe best time to begin to enquire about contractual arrangements and negotiations is when the yacht is in still in use. A professional project manager will be able to establish a contract for work on an existing superyacht to help dictate how the duration of the build will pan out.&nbsp;The project manager should be present from the very beginning of the refit process to ensure that the job is successful in both time and outcome. This also alleviates some pressure from the already busy captain and team. The dynamic between a captain and project manager should be clear: the captain is an expert on the yacht and can verify the scope of the work that is required, whereas the project manager should make the plan, implement the contract and deal with the complexities. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/90350/image/large-8444996150275144ead0d609fbaab464.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/90350">As every project is different, the project manager would start by producing a feasibility study, taking into consideration various shipyards’ expertise, availability, business credentials, commercial stability and which works are the priority for the superyacht in question.&nbsp;Shipyards have to abide by ever-evolving regulations that can affect factors - such as CO2 emissions, fuels that involve sulphur, hybrid technology and storing energy. All of these considerations are what a project manager will be tasked with and factor into the bidding process and assessing the yard's capability. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/89974/image/large-30924368366651f1039211cefa8b85b4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89974">Make sure the perfect yard is chosenSelecting the right yard for the works is an all-important decision for the project manager as it will influence the success of the project and is not something that can be easily rectified. The initial study and yard selection process taken on by the project manager will be specially tailored to the superyacht and help to clarify costs, quality of the outcome and factor in any special or difficult requests. This is a huge advantage compared to blindly shipping items from one of our offices and relying on third-party freight or logistics companies,” commented Tommy, who ensures that he can personally visit vendors regularly “to verify product quality, the facilities and maintain personal relationships. Launched in 2010, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1970" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Eternity65.0m (213'3&quot;)">Eternity&nbsp;</a>is a custom motor yacht built by the Italian shipyard that features a six-meter swimming pool, an enclosed gymnasium, guest elevator to all decks and a large beach club set up for diving and other fun water sports. Her interior, designed by Della Role Design, accommodates up to 12 guests.

The 65m Codecasa superyacht Eternity in Fort Lauderdale

Ahead of its completion next year, Codecasa welcomed one of its largest superyachts to date at their facility in Viareggio last week. The 65-metre project F74 was signed in 2017 and has been under construction at the Darsena dei Navicelli production site in Pisa since then. 65m Codecasa flagship on track for 2019 delivery

Codecasa recently signed the construction of a new 65-metre motor yacht. As a result, the yacht is now in great condition. With a name like Family Day, this 65 metre addition to the Codecasa fleet, with an interior by Della Role Design, brings to mind an image of coziness, warmth and tradition. Yet, with her sleek and modern exterior, that is both sportive and contemporary, an interesting contrast is created that instantly attracts one's attention. With floors, walls and fixed cabinets executed in warm, dark lacquered wood, combined with light classical furnishings set in a perfectly symmetrical composition, the aft area in the main saloon offers a classic and slightly African-colonial atmosphere, the latter being largely a result of the artworks present. Here, a large al fresco dining table can be found, perfectly private yet with magnificent surrounding views. Superyacht Lady Lau arrives in Monaco

On Monday June 14th, 2010 Codecasa Shipyards launched a newest 65 metres displacement yacht, This is the Lady Lau, Hull C 118, whose delivery to its Owner is scheduled for end of next July. The yacht is characterized by classic and traditional lines and has been realized following the precise wishes of the Owner, who is currently following step-by-step the various stages of construction along with architects Franco and Anna Maria Della Role. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/131622/image/large-dc9170d98eb002467be8d96f0483bbc0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/131622">With her 5 large decks, starting from lower deck, the boat offers a Top Tank Deck with service areas and useful spaces for laundry and stowage very easy to reach thanks to the lift connecting all 5 decks. The Lower Deck hosts the garage and the engine room, whereas the Guests and crew areas are more forward. Going up, the Main Deck faces on a Veranda with two relax zones and a wonderful grand piano which opens to the saloon and a dinner table able to seat up to 18 people. This deck offers three Guests cabins as well: 2 for the staff and an extra crew cabin. The Upper Deck, with another dinner table and a large saloon with a bar and a game table, hosts more forward the Owner’s area with a full beam bedroom. The Wheelhouse offers a relaxing spa pool with sofas, a cinema and a gymnasium, whereas on Sun Deck there will be a large sunpads area. She has a classic interior with a great quantity of marbles, mahogany woods and upholstery all over the boat. Great care is given to all Guests areas, in particular to the 4 cabins in Lower Deck, which differ the ones from the others both in colours and style. The Owner expressly asked to have each room in a different style: thai, chinese, aegyptian, minimalist so to be able, at the occurrance, to host his many foreign guests in an even more comfortable atmosphere. This difference in styles is the main characteristic for this vessel, which will be very rich in decorations and materials. Mahogany is the wood used for the cabins but also all over the boat. The marble bathrooms are in style as well, matching with each bedroom's style, so are their taps and fittings and their furniture articles. The ceilings in the cabins have a particular indirect lighting system and very very few down lighters, whereas the floors are in carpet. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/131623/image/large-eca922cb7320ce6d2945911c807ddf78.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/131623">Aesthetically the yacht reflects the Codecasa style with its filant bow and a portholes game filling hull and superstructure. Then two Caterpillar 3516B engines, each of 2448 HP, allows the yacht to reach 17 knots at cruise speed and a range of 5000 nm at 12 knots with the possibility to have an oceanic navigation. This is the third 2010 launch for Codecasa after 65 meters Family Day and 45 meters open Framura 2. On schedule for 2011 are the launch of the first 42 meters Vintage and of a traditional 51 meters. Codecasa launches 65 metre Lady Lau

Codecasa's order book for 2008 foresees the launching and delivery of two motor yachts, a 65m and a 51m, respectively ordered by an Italian Shipping Company and by an American owner. The Codecasa 65, which will be launched in the month of April and delivered on May/June presents a particular style in the hull. She will break all traditional yachting rules with a scenographic stern. Large steps will be running from the main deck down to the swimming platform and several side structural fashion plates on the two upper decks give the yacht a powerful look, similar to a ship. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/124147/image/large-82a2d29f505e8928037c18e5af0dda89.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/124147">The Codecasa 51, which will be delivered in July, shows the classic Codecasa external lines, whereas the interiors, classic as well, have been designed by Della Role along with the owners. A novelty here is represented by the realization of a foldable balcony on the starboard bulwark offering a direct sea view from the owner's suite. Springtime 2009 will see the launching and delivery of the second Codecasa 41s Open. The external lines of this yachts, commissioned by a client who already owns a Codecasa 35s Open, are designed by Andre Bacigalupo, whereas the interior decoration, in modern style, will be done by Studio Porfiri. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/124148/image/large-8529fbfee336ca598cfee664aee229b0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/124148">2010 will see the launching and delivery of two new Codecasa 65 yachts for clients, who already own Codecasa Yachts. The first 65 meter, ordered by an important European owner, will show the traditional Codecasa lines, but will be characterized by very particular distinctive details. The second 65m, for a Far East owner, will distinguish itself for its streamlined and harmonious profile and for its slender stern which will include a wide swimming platform. Both interiors will be designed by Della Role. All the above mentioned yachts will have the highest class from the class societies (Lloyd's Register and American Bureau of Shipping) and will be MCA compliant. Last but not least, the construction of another Codecasa 51, whose delivery is scheduled for summer 2011, has already started. <noscript></noscript>
