The 44.5m superyacht Fast &amp; Furious in Dubai

 

Pictured here yesterday in Dubai on the third day of the Dubai International Boat Show is the 44.5 metre superyacht Fast &amp; Furious. Completed last year and displayed at the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival, she was constructed by the Italian shipyard AB Yachts, and designed in her entirety by their in-house team. The yacht has been fitted with MJP waterjets allowing the AB 145 model to reach impressive top speeds exceeding 42 knots, with a cruising speed of 38 knots.

The 44.5m superyacht Fast & Furious in Dubai

The Fipa Group have released the first aerial shots of their largest yacht to date, the AB 145 Fast &amp; Furious. The images were taken during a high speed shoot off Cannes during the annual Yachting Festival held in September. Her Kevlar-carbon and GRP bonded hull offers a rigid platform that supports the vessel at high speeds well even in disturbed sea states. AB 145 superyacht Fast & Furious at top speed

SuperYachtTimes.com was invited on board the Fipa Group’s largest build to date, the AB 145 Fast &amp; Furious, to experience the yacht’s exhilirating power, performance and level of luxury first hand at the Cannes Yachting Festival, where she is currently on display.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156093/image/large-35d54c43f72ee67b361897306c73f64d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156093">Fitted with tripple MJP waterjets, Fast &amp; Furious certainly lives up to her name, comfortably reaching 35+ knots even in disturbed sea states. The accelaration is gradual and once running at top speed, one hardly notice the world buzzing past at 40 knots from the interior. The lack of vibration and noise at this speed is also remarkable, and apart from a few high impact creaks, the interior is as a pleasant place to be as when at anchor.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156094/image/large-358a51224dffd7f14d81e8c60f5cfd22.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156094">Her Seakeeper gyro stabilisers do a great job keeping this 45m poised at anchor, and even more so when underway. Live from Cannes: On board the 42 knot Fast & Furious

AB Yachts launched their largest yacht to date, the AB 145, last month. Various woods and a mixture of royal colours have been used to add dimension to the otherwise singular guest spaces.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155713/image/large-aebbe96e0ae2bc18317ac9fcaae1d35d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155713">The master cabin forward on main deck has to be the finest space on the AB 145’s interior. A wonderfully illuminated suite instantly makes one feel at home and inspires a clean and tranquil lifestyle. The same wood paneling and flooring is continued here.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155714/image/large-c3dcf979246ffabc7c63c35956bc4924.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155714">A grand balcony opens on the starboard side of the suite and transforms the entire space into the ultimate relaxing area. First look on board AB Yacht's new 145

Following the launch of the largest AB superyacht to date, the new 145 model, the Fipa Group have revealed more photos of the superyacht taken in the port of Marina di Carrara near La Spezia. The yacht is able to reach a top speed of 42 knots, and features a five cabin layout with a master suite on main deck and four en-suite cabins below deck. AB Yachts have successfully launched their largest yacht to date, the AB 145, at their facility in Marina di Carrara near La Spezia. The yacht forms part of the product range of the Fipa Group, and offers a unique selection of layout arrangements with larger interior and exterior guest areas.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155368/image/large-3ef2bacac2243ac3d1976a2a9303495c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155368">The 44 metre superyacht has been constructed using advanced aerospace technology and materials, and fitted with MJP waterjets allowing the AB 145 to reach speeds of over 42 knots with reduced vibration and noise levels. The special master suite is located forward on the main deck and stretches the entire beam of the vessel. The suite also has access to a private terrace out on main deck, and one can reach the private foredeck from here without difficulty. The remaining guests are housed below deck in four en-suite cabins, 3 double and 1 twin cabin.The yacht will officially be presented to the yachting industry at the 2015 Cannes Boat Show.By Charl van Rooy
