The 810 GT motor yacht features an exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/76" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Vafiadis (Company)">Studio Vafiadis&nbsp;</a>and an interior by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="A++ - Carlo Colombo Architect (Company)">A++ - Carlo Colombo Architect.</a> <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/183157/image/large-0da0024db9b655484f1f7eb13b323d4a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/183157">She can accommodate 12 guests across six cabins, serviced by a crew of 11. The dimensions inside <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6902" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Florentia52.0m (170'7&quot;)Rossinavi2020">Florentia&nbsp;</a>are intended to make the inside of the yacht feel home-like.Key areas include an upper-deck multi-functional saloon, a flydeck with a VIP stateroom and a lower deck which accommodates the remaining cabins for the guests and crew. The curvy shape of the bed’s leather headboard complements the sinuous details of the floor and ceiling that lead the way to the owner’s bathroom. The amphitheatre-like upper deck area features a double-sided sofa upholstered in natural fabric that faces the bar area. The upper deck is equipped to function as an entertainment area that can turn into a cinema via a projector that appears from the ceiling. The owner’s ensuite full-beam stateroom is located on the main deck and is provided with a private balcony and two walk-in wardrobes alongside a ring-shaped mirror artwork in the centre of the room that reflects the light coming in from the sea. The VIP stateroom opens into the fly deck and also boasts a private balcony and easy access to the jacuzzi at the stern. Rossinavi launches 52m motor yacht Florentia

2017 has been a good year for superyacht builders as the number of sales for new yachts over 30 metres has increased by 25% compared to 2016 as will soon be revealed in the <a href="https://www.superyachtiq.com/report/superyacht-iq-2018-market-report" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">SuperYacht iQ 2018 Market Report</a>.Before we start looking at the numbers, let me first explain a bit more about the five different categories we use to categorise new yacht sales.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/7759/image/large-6e9cda5054478c3c8d6bbabee1a50f45.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/7759">The sale of 181.6-metre Project REV was&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/47157" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="182m Espen Oeino-designed Research Expedition Vessel coming in 2020 (2017-05-02 10:00:00 +0200)">announced in May 2017</a>New Order Most new yacht sales are new orders. This means that the yacht is not yet under construction when she is sold. These are not only fully custom projects, but it can also be semi-custom or even production yachts that have been sold before they were actually started.Speculation Sale Several superyacht builders are building yachts on speculation. This means that they start the project without a client, but try to sell it during the construction. In some cases yacht owners also speculate, for example, they order two similar yachts and will try to sell of one them, or more commonly, the investor of the yard finances the construction of a speculation project. When one of these projects gets sold we count it as a speculation sale.There are also two different types of starting projects on speculation. Some shipyards fully complete a yacht, however, some shipyards only start up the hull and superstructure and then wait for a buyer to step in. In some cases, these projects can be on hold for a while before they are being sold. In this case, we still speak about a speculation sale and not about an 'on-hold project resale' as mentioned below.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/14599/image/large-cdf7710fffb77db11b7085ce0d06911d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/14599">The&nbsp;Amels custom 78-metre was&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/47725" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Largest custom Amels superyacht coming in 2021 (2017-10-10 09:30:00 +0200)">signed during the Monaco Yacht show in 2017</a>Stock Sale A stock sale is very similar to a speculation sale, as the construction was started by the shipyard or an investor or owner with the intention to resell it, but the main difference is that we speak about a speculation sale when the yacht is still under construction and a stock sale when the yacht is already completed.Active Project Resale When a client sells a yacht to another client during the construction we count it as a project resale. This does not happen very often and probably only represents around 5% of all the new superyacht sales.&nbsp;On-Hold Project Resale This is similar to a project resale, however, the main difference is that these projects have been on hold for a while. As mentioned above, for this we don’t count projects that have been put on hold by a yard who builds it on speculation, as that is their normal way of working.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16175/image/large-c7a018c8cc58ce716033a907f23cafca.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16175">The sale of the 52-metre Rossinavi project Florentia was&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/47772" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rossinavi to build new 52m superyacht project Florentia (2017-10-24 16:20:00 +0200)">announced in October 2017</a>Let’s get back to the numbers from 2017. In total, we recorded more than 435 sales for yachts over 30 metres. Out of these, there were 180 new superyacht sales and as mentioned before this is an increase of 25% compared to 2016 when there were 144 new superyacht sales. In 2015 there were 186 new superyacht sales and in 2014 159 new superyacht sales.2018 is off to a good start and I estimate there were around 40 new superyacht sales in the first quarter. I doubt that it will be as good as 2017 in terms of numbers because at the start of 2017 around 35% of the yachts under construction were for sale and right now it is closer to 25%.It is of course very good that a lot of the speculation projects have been sold, however, shipyards need to keep investing to cater for future demand. New superyacht sales on the rise in 2017 

The Italian yard Rossinavi has teamed up once again with the Milan-based naval architect Federico Fiorentino for a 55-metre all-aluminium superyacht concept called Zephyr.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16544/image/large-690409bf405f6fed11e74dfe9dd2490a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16544"> Drawing on his background in racing and powerboat design, the naval architect has created an exterior which reflects the muscular bodywork of classic 1950s and 1960s sports cars.&nbsp;Zephyr would also feature the fast displacement XL500 platform created by the Dutch van Oossanen Naval Architects. This hull would stretch Zephyr's 500GT interior over the maximum length possible, in order to achieve a smooth cruising experience on board.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16537/image/large-95a38125e3f3521a73cc6b30557d78d4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16537">On board, the 55-metre motor yacht accommodates up to 10 guests across five staterooms, with crew quarters accommodating up to nine. Her interior design is from the drawing boards of the Pisa-based interior design studio Pulina DNA, featuring reflective, transparent surfaces and large windows to create a spacious and light atmosphere.&nbsp;One of Zephyr's stand-out features is a fold-out transom which creates a 300 square metre beach club on board, as well as a five-metre glass-sided infinity pool. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/16536/image/large-1a9e2c6f0e75cd1e703bbace876f1a77.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16536"> <img src="/uploads/store/photo/16547/image/large-e325e1ded0101f6bbee49cdfe229e99f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16547">Powered by twin MTU 16V4000 M93L engines, she would have an impressive top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. At 12 knots, Zephyr would be capable of a transatlantic range of 3,400 nautical miles.&nbsp;For visitors to this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat show, there is the chance to find out more about the Zephyr project at Rossinavi's stand, as they will be exhibiting a scale model of the concept throughout the show.&nbsp;Other superyacht projects currently under development at Rossinavi include the 52-metre Project Florentia, which was sold recently.&nbsp;
