Built in 2007 and launched as Outback by the Australian shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/188" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Austal (Company)">Austal</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1748" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Idol58.9m (193'3&quot;)Austal2007">Idol</a> features exterior lines by her builder in collaboration with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/98" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sam Sorgiovanni Designs P/L (Company)">Sam Sorgiovanni</a>, who was also responsible for her interior design. Onboard, the 918 GT superyacht can accommodate up to 14 guests in seven luxurious staterooms, taken care of by a crew of 13. Performance-wise, she is powered by twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> diesel engines of 1,574 horsepower each, allowing her to reach a top speed of 17 knots, and cover a range of 4,000 nautical miles. Key features onboard include her touch-and-go helipad, which is shown here carrying a Bell 429 helicopter.

A remarkable feature on board is the 35-metre-long sundeck which is one of the most popular hangout spots on the yacht. Here she is recently seen anchored off the island of Mallorca.

With just under a week to go before the gates of the 2017 MYBA Charter Show open, we take a look at some of the largest charter yachts that will be on display at the very first edition to be hosted at OneOcean Port Vell in Barcelona. Visitors will be treated to some of the finest charter yachts on display run by the industry’s most professional crew. The new service facility of Monaco Marine La Ciotat opened its doors to megayachts at the end of April 2007.
