Delivered in 2014 by the Italian shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a>, she was created specifically with commercial charter use in mind. Previously named Illusion I, the 963 GT superyacht features naval architecture and an exterior design by her builder, while <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4365" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Green & Mingarelli Design (Company)">Green &amp; Mingarelli Design</a> was responsible for her contemporary interior. Onboard, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3495" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Illusion V58.0m (190'3&quot;)Benetti SpA2014">Illusion V</a> can accommodate up to 12 guests in six luxurious staterooms, taken care of by a crew of 14. In terms of performance, the steel and aluminium superyacht sports twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> 3512 diesel engines of 1,876 horsepower each, allowing her to reach a top speed of 15 knots and cruise comfortably at 12 knots.

Benetti’s 58m superyacht Illusion V arriving in Skiathos, Greece

Seen here arriving in the harbour of Skiathos in Greece is the 58 metre Benetti superyacht Illusion V. Designed by the Benetti design team along with the experienced owner’s personal design staff, Illusion V was created specifically with commercial charter use in mind. Completed in 2014, the yacht boasts a gross tonnage of 950 GT and an interior by Evan K. Marshall.

In Pictures: Benetti's Illusion V

Presented at the Monaco Yacht Show this year, the 58 meter four decked steel and aluminium motor yacht Illusion V was built at the Benetti Livorno shipyard and launched earlier this year. She boasts designs by Green &amp; Mingarelli and has been sold to a European owner. Designed for commercial charter use, the owner will also use her privately. Located amidships on the lower deck is the VIP cabin, which takes advantage of almost 11 metres of beam.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151694/image/large-e8886628195d5b0ce0a8ea07ad2a6937.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151694">     <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151695/image/large-386dc9161d4ac52bf8f42c74b0c90b39.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151695">The remaining luxurious cabins consist of three twins, one of which includes a Pullman berth, as well as one double suite. All of the guest accommodation comes with opulent en-suite facilities. A crew of up to 12 is also accommodated for over four single crew cabins and a double for the chief engineer, each with its own bathroom. There is separate access to all decks from the crew quarters, guaranteeing maximum privacy for the guests and increasing the crews efficiency in service.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151696/image/large-0024a98c151d682519b61bb6aa58f458.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151696">The full beam owner’s suite is preceded by a relax lounge area with large lateral windows and a beautiful sofa to one side. The owners bathroom, just like the bathroom found in the VIP suite, is entirely finished with an onyx décor, with both sinks in carved marble.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151697/image/large-be99a675c2d62a1ce227b4eba1cb83e1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151697">Extremely spacious, with two entryways and his and her dressing rooms, it includes an enormous central shower, a bathtub and twin toilets. A fantastic characteristic of this area is the lack of noise. Noise and vibration reduction throughout the yacht was a specific request made by the owner, and the Benetti technicians, together with a Danish company specialised in noise reduction,granted this request.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151698/image/large-2ee158965d76ced9890105e5446724ff.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151698">Elsewhere located on the lower deck is a spacious beach area with an ample bar zone. The beach area is distinctly separate from the garage, which opens laterally for launching and recovering the tender and the two jet skis. There is also generous room in the garage for wetsuits and diving gear to ensure that guests are able to explore the surroundings of the yacht.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151699/image/large-f930adabb5fbdd257af1c1364dd473dd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151699">     <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151700/image/large-c276373cc1c7ae5d64df6f5dd7d57ee3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151700"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151701/image/large-2b6d46107b93c9af3f0bf1432c3b7406.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151701">The owners interior designer, in collaboration with the Benetti design office, personally chose the style of furnishings and décor, with a dominant theme of Rose, while the choice and combination of the materials used includes travertine, wood, and several kinds of marble alternate with other more unusual materials: ray-skin, coco or slivers of mother of pearl. In the guest area all the walls are covered with black walnut panels, with a special design: to augment contrast and movement, the walnut panels are alternated with parchment covered panels. The Lalique crystal insets add yet another touch of elegance, and reflect the natural lighting. The ivory leather ceilings complete the effect of space and light.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151702/image/large-1425a18ea0fd2194fb39c1c1be9e9255.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151702">Outside on the open upper deck a beautiful 14 place dinner table and mobile bar is found, while inside there is another small salon with sofas, entertainment area, and a corner bar.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151703/image/large-70d69e9aa07536aac71c0b4034e67703.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151703">Fun and relaxation are the central themes that determine the upper deck layout, where we also find a small movie theater (which if needs be, can be converted into an extra cabin), a wine cellar and a cold-box for cigars.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151704/image/large-bf8fb8b6511e03564b90b9efe3d3855a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151704">From the stern, the sun deck is found. A mosaic Jacuzzi is surrounded by sunbathing recliners, mobile bar, barbecue grill and dinette.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151705/image/large-56e0f4f7d0bac68380d4fa8ba6458836.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151705"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151706/image/large-14ebd627f25a2add4b7a51b34f6753e3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151706">     <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151707/image/large-6f3853f95844259dccdc89d23899d883.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151707">The whole area can be sheltered from the wind thanks to a double sliding-doored veranda, but the six window skylight always leaves a view of the starry heavens. All the external furnishings are in dark painted teak while the marble is rustic travertine.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151708/image/large-163f8ea9a37c6cd0509aa1cd44fcea42.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151708">Performance wise, Illusion V has a 15 knot fast cruising speed. At the 12 knot normal cruising speed, she has a 5,000 nautical mile range. Propulsion is provided by twin CAT 3512C motors, developing 1,380 kw each. Generators are twin CAT C9 Gensets for 200 kw each, plus a third CAT C4.4 generator for 82 kw.llusion V is available for charter with Camper &amp; Nicholsons International, who also managed the construction of the yacht.By Gemma Fottles

Superyacht of the week, Illusion V

In May of this year I visited the Benetti yard in Livorno, which had just launched the 62 metre superyacht project FB264. Unfortunately, whilst I was at the yard, I was not allowed to take a photo of her. <div align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="357" mozallowfullscreen="" msallowfullscreen="" oallowfullscreen="" src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/stuart166axe/14926619224/player/" webkitallowfullscreen="" width="500"></iframe></div>I just found this photo of the yacht on the public photo website Flickr, so we are now finally able to share this news with you. The yacht (on the far right, next to Seanna), measures 62 metres, is an inhouse design by the yard, and features an interior by FM - Architettura d’Interni.The name of this Benetti superyacht has not yet been officially revealed.By Maarten Janssen

TEAM Italia attended the Monaco Yacht Show, where the company exhibited innovative technologies developed by its in-house R&amp;D department. Featuring a new design and even more functions, the new I-Bridge Futura Nextgen was well received by captains and owners. Several superyachts that feature TEAM Italia’s innovations and was also present at the show.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150967/image/large-5649582501072c8a2deb102bcd519d95.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150967">The first is the 46 metre Baglietto displacement superyacht that was launched earlier this year. The shipyard chose the TEAM Italia system for the vessel, and the project provided for installation of a completely customised, built-in I-Bridge system produced following the specific requests of the shipyard, captain and Owner. The console features 5 displays, 3 touchscreen workstations and 2 multifunctional joysticks.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150968/image/large-75a9381bbedb8d4d2e9a05b77c71665e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150968">Rossinavi’s second Prince Shark superyacht, Polaris, arrived around a year after her sistership. The I-Bridge system has been installed on the 49 metre all aluminium semi-displacement hull yacht, and a special concept and ergonomic solution was successfully applied.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150969/image/large-12d933547d56373d065b082eafe4ae3d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150969">Other yachts on display at the show featuring the work of TEAM Italia includes ISA Yachts 42.67 metre Silver Wind, and 66 metre Okto. Both yachts feature a built-in customised I-Bridge system produced by matching the requirements put forward by the shipyard with those of captains and owners.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150970/image/large-6b99271c010e7514ae92e1ea5e20a3b0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150970">Benetti has been working with TEAM Italia for several years, and 2014 saw the two companies work on a number of projects together. Benetti Illusion I and Benetti FB 258 were also on display in Monaco in addition to Mister Z, which features the high technology I-Bridge Multi-Touch system, as well as a multi conning system display for navigation and a steering conning system for all the activities related to navigation. An AWS (Anchor Watching System) is also installed to guarantee a complete monitoring of the boat when it is at anchor. Mister Z was delivered earlier this year.TEAM Italia has five offices in Italy, located both on the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts and is able to supply devices and provide solutions for all navigation, steering, communications, monitoring and I-Bridge systems.By Gemma Fottles

Superyacht Illusion I in rough weather off Monaco

The latest superyacht to have been launched by Benetti is the 58 metre Illusion I which will make it’s debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September. The four decked steel and aluminum motor yacht was built at the Benetti Livorno shipyard and designed by Green &amp; Mingarelli for a European owner. Travertine, wood, and several kinds of marble alternate with other more unusual materials: ray-skin, coco or slivers of mother of pearl, have all been utilised in the vessel’s interior.Designed for commercial charter use, the owner also intends to use her privately. She easily accommodates up to 13 passengers in total over 6 cabins. These include one VIP suite and 4 guest cabins, in addition to the luxurious owners cabin.Her exterior spaces include a large sun deck with a mosaic Jacuzzi surrounded by sunbathing recliners, a mobile bar, barbecue grill and dinette. The whole area can be sheltered from the wind thanks to a double sliding-door veranda, with a six window skylight leaving a perpetual view of the sky. Elsewhere, the open upper deck includes a 14 place dinner table and mobile bar; while inside there is another small salon with sofas, entertainment area, and a corner bar. Fun and relaxation are the central themes that determine the upper deck layout, where a small movie theater can also be found.Propulsion is provided by twin CAT 3512C motors, developing 1,380 kw each. Generators are twin CAT C9 Gensets for 200 kw each, plus a third CAT C4.4 generator for 82 kw. She has a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,000 nm at 12 knots.Illusion I will be available to charter in the Caribbean and Bahamas through Camper &amp; Nicholsons International, at a weekly rate starting from $350,000.By Gemma Fottles

Benetti's Illusion I to debut in Monaco

Benetti has announced the launch of the 58 metre superyacht, Illusion I. The four decked steel and aluminium vessel was designed by Green &amp; Mingarelli.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150092/image/large-64f32a96432422d448e215c5c6580396.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150092">She boasts four decks as well as a spacious sundeck, including a mosaic Jacuzzi, barbecue grill and dinette. The open upper deck hosts up to 14 guests for fine dining, complete with a mobile bar. On the upper deck is also a movie theatre which can be converted into an extra cabin.On the lower deck aft, there is a beach area with an ample barzone and a stylish finish. The beach area is distinctly separate from the garage, which opens laterally for launching and recovering the tender and the two jet skis. There is also generous room in the garage for wetsuits and diving gear. A crew of 12 are also accommodated on board, with separate access to all decks from the crew quarters.The main salon is dedicated to entertainment, with a dining area for ten that, thanks to the air vents, is spacious and bright. The walls are fully in glass and fill the room with an abundance of natural light. Travertine, wood, and several kinds of marble alternate with other more unusual materials: ray-skin, coco or slivers of mother of pearl, have all been utilised in the vessel’s interior.Illusion I has a high cruising speed of 15 knots. At the 12 knot normal cruising speed, the superyacht has a range of 5,000nm. Propulsion is provided by twin CAT 3512C motors, developing 1,380 kw each. Benetti launches 58 metre superyacht Illusion I

Following last week’s news that Fincantieri secured an order through Camper &amp; Nicholsons International for a 140 metre superyacht, more good news comes in from Ocean Indendence, as yacht broker Peter Thompson has sold a new-build Benetti superyacht. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129781/image/large-c0b31a964de5e0410328f8a2100167a8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129781">The 57.50 metre superyacht will have a steel hull and construction will commence soon at the Benetti facility in Livorno.
