We take a look at yachts attending this eighth edition of the world's largest crewed yacht charter show, which is returning to Greece this year. 

The largest yachts attending MEDYS 2024

The 29.70-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4964" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Christianna YCG30.0m (98'5&quot;)">Christianna,</a> listed for sale by Michel Chryssicopoulos at IYC, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Elysee Yachts in Greece.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/35195/image/large-5887823ff294bc081afc9cbc33c9252f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/35195">Built in aluminium by the Italian yard Picchiotti to Lloyds class and delivered in 1987, this 29.70-metre superyacht (previously known as&nbsp;Oktana)&nbsp;underwent refits in 1995 and 2014, as well as an MTU W5 engine overhaul in 2015.&nbsp;On board, she accommodates up to eight guests across four generous ensuite staterooms, comprising a master suite, VIP suite, a double stateroom and a twin with Pullman berth. A crew of five is also accommodated for on board.&nbsp;Twin 1,800hp MTU engines give her a maximum speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and she is fitted with Naiad zero speed stabilizers for eliminating roll motion in port or at sea.&nbsp;At the time of sale, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4964" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Christianna YCG30.0m (98'5&quot;)">Christianna</a> was listed at an asking price of €700,000.

The 30m Picchiotti superyacht Christianna sold 

Recently I visited Greece and in the Astir Marina of Vouliagmeni I saw a yacht called Christianna YCG. I had not heard of this yacht before and there is not much information available on the internet.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144120/image/large-dc393a2b8a6ceee91807a173eca27a42.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144120">We have done some research and we believe that she is hull number 571, which was built by Picchiotti in 1987 as Oktana. This correspondents with her IMO number and the information from the Picchiotti archives and also with the profile of the yacht from the Picchiotti archives. See below the scans from the Picchiotti archives.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144121/image/large-0ce5ecbeec59f159cbe202e702a93a61.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144121"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144122/image/large-e2bb58a83cc9783d6b69b271860dc1f0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144122">The confusion starts with a photo, see below, which was also found in the Picchiotti archives, which also shows a yacht called Oktana.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144123/image/large-732b4e235e45dfa256b4d6de8e00ebfa.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144123">However this yacht does not corresponds with Christianna YCG and hull number 571, however she has some similarities with the 1997 build Nomi (previously known as Irina). The photo of above is believed to be taken in the 80’s and Nomi was completed in 1997 and there are also different reports about who build/completed Nomi; is it Picchiotti, Campanelle or Baglietto?<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144124/image/large-3ed6774bf8583296ee827874d385f1bb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/143330">We have several questions and your help would be much appreciated: 1. Can anyone confirm that Christianna YCG was built by Picchiotti in 1987 as Oktana under hull number 571? We are pretty sure about this, but it would be good if someone can confirm this. 2. When was the Oktana, shown on the archive photo, built by Picchiotti, and is she the same yacht as Nomi or is she a different yacht? 3.
