Together the duo is responsible for more than 80 superyachts, including the 49.8-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Knight49.8m (163'5&quot;)Heesen Yachts2011">Knight</a>. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/58001/image/large-571dd1c79f1659b98448a2ccfb537d18.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58001"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Knight49.8m (163'5&quot;)Heesen Yachts2011">Knight</a> was the first unit delivered from the successful <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> 5000 Semi-Displacement series, hitting the water in 2011, and her reception couldn’t have been warmer. Satori, as she was named then, was awarded two World Yacht Trophies in Cannes and the prestigious Prix du Design in Monaco. During the ceremony, Fabio Ermetto, then Sales and Marketing Director at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a>, described Satori as a “beautiful vessel”. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/253402/image/large-545974db746af000b4a6b72605626a27.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/253402"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/253401/image/large-989f6859c1f757a1c1d297f814dfaf4f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/253401">Her timeless interior design comes from the drawing boards of the Parisian studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/533" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rémi Tessier (Company)">Rémi Tessier</a>. Contrasting warm woods and chrome accents are found throughout <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Knight49.8m (163'5&quot;)Heesen Yachts2011">Knight</a>, lending her a chic and contemporary styling that’s stood the test of time. The space is open plan and fitted with plenty of windows, but the true panoramic experience is at the table. Her four guest suites, comprising two VIPs and two twins, are located on the lower deck and all complete with a private ensuite. Her master suite has additional privacy and is situated forward of the main deck. Onboard 50m Heesen superyacht Knight 

With Heesen’s 50m superyacht Knight recently joining the charter market, SuperYacht Times takes a closer look onboard. 



In a recent deal brokered by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/124" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Edmiston (Company)">Edmiston</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/136" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocean Independence (Company)">Ocean Independence</a>, the 50-metre Heesen motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Septimus49.8m (163'5&quot;)Heesen Yachts2011">Septimus</a> sold to a new client with Edmiston brokers Antonio Yturbe Redo and Hans van Doornmalen representing the seller and Ocean Independence’s Thom Conboy acting on behalf of the buyer. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/58001/image/large-571dd1c79f1659b98448a2ccfb537d18.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58001">Septimus is a 49.8-metre motor yacht built in the Netherlands in 2011 and launched as Satori for an experienced yachtsman. After being <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/superyacht-satori-sold">sold in 2014</a>, Satori changed ownership and her name, cruising under <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/septimus">Septimus</a> ever since. As part of a long line of full-aluminium 50-metre motor yachts, <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/septimus">Septimus</a> shares a similar <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/55" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Omega Architects (Company)">Omega Architects</a> design with sister ships such <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/rocket">Rocket</a>, <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/hayken">Hayken</a>, <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/ventura">Ventura</a> and the recently-delivered <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6789" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Masa50.0m (164'1&quot;)Heesen Yachts2019">Masa</a>.

50m Heesen motor yacht Septimus sold

The 50-metre Heesen motor yacht Septimus sold to a new client in a deal brokered by Edmiston and Ocean Independence. 

<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen Yachts</a> is one of the top superyacht builders in the world having built 99 yachts over 30-metres so far. These yachts have a total length of 4,307-metres, an average length of 43.5-metres and an average volume of 416 gross tonnes (GT). In the past 10 years, the company has completed a total of 41 superyachts.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/58959/image/large-efcc94488dffded75bac7e6a7a9ebb46.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58959">Used MarketOf the 99 30-metre plus <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> yachts in operation, there are currently 22 <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">yachts for sale</a> on the market, which is 22.2% of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> fleet in operation. Compared to the market average of 23.1% this is slightly lower. The total combined length of these yachts is 977-metres with an average length of 44.4-metres and an average volume of 442GT.The average price of a yacht on the used <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> yacht market right now is €15 million. When looking at the price per GT, we can see an average price of €34,000 per GT. Looking just at the yachts that have been built since 2010, which are a total of eight yachts, there is an average price GT of €43,000 per GT.On average, the 22 <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/heesen/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Heesen yachts for sale</a> have been on the market for 825 days. On average, these yachts are 14 years old. For the total used fleet sold in the last two years, this average stood at 563 days.The 20 <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> yachts sold in the last two years represented a total value of €220 million in terms of final asking prices. Their average last asking price was €11.7 million per yacht or €28,100 per GT. Heesen’s 50-metre Project Aster,&nbsp;currently under construction at the Dutch yard's facility in Oss, has been sold to experienced owners who were introduced by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4561" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Arcon Yachts (Company)">Arcon Yachts</a>. Her new owners are expecting delivery in June 2019 after she completes her sea trials in the North Sea. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/26318/image/large-921d7d6103ad8f805767dc91e6395387.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/26318">Construction on Project Aster was started on speculation and the joining of her hull and superstructure was completed in February 2018. Project Aster's exterior design is by Frank Laupman of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/55" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Omega Architects (Company)">Omega Architects</a>, whereas Cristiano Gatto is working alongside <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a>’s in-house interior team to incorporate key design elements from her sistership, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Septimus49.8m (163'5&quot;)Heesen Yachts2011">Septimus</a> (ex: Satori) in her interior. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/26319/image/large-21359ee4bc526d296edde207fdb9560d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/26319">On board, she will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, including five lower deck suites and a spacious master’s cabin with an ensuite bathroom on the main deck. Her versatile layout also includes three lounges, three dining rooms, a bar and an open-air jacuzzi on her top deck.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/45423/image/large-842a5150307b19e0e7851d6aca6559ba.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/45423">Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 engines will be able to deliver a top speed of up to 23 knots. Heesen Yachts are currently conducting sea trials on their new 50 metre superyacht named My Loyalty out on the North Sea. Designed by Omega Architects, the fifth yacht in the yacht builder’s successful 50 metre class shares a similar exterior styling as sisters Septimus, Monaco Wolf, and Ice Angel amongst others, with a ‘shark grey’ hull making her easily identifiable.

12 guests are accommodated in six staterooms in an interior designed by Cristiano Gatto. The Yacht Design Talent Award 2015

Dutch shipyard Heesen has announced the sale of the 50 metre semi-displacement superyacht Akoya, a sistership to Satori and Monaco Wolf. She features exterior design by Omega Architects, who have implemented a distinctive streamlined superstructure as well as the iconic reverse sheer pelican beak bow. Continuous sheets of laminated triple glazing thermo-bonded to the superstructure on the main deck create a dynamic wall of seamless windows that complement the yacht’s flowing lines.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154015/image/large-0728fdbdab3519d4b7ab9c85de2fe29e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154015">Space on board is divided over four decks, including a foredeck and a vast 70 sqm sun deck. Heesen's superyacht project Azuro, the yard's fourth 50 metre semi-displacement aluminium yacht, is nearing completion, and we recently met up with Mark Cavendish, Heesen's Sales and Marketing Director, to find our more about this new yacht. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/146974/image/large-2e28062a3f53eea8f87074b6d9ff27ca.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146974">Azuro is a sistership to Ice Angel, Ventura and Satori, one of the most highly rated of her size, winning the ultimate accolade of World Superyacht of the Year."All four yachts are based on the same extremely efficient semi-dipslacement hull design giving speeds up to 23 knots and exceptional efficiency at low speeds for example at 10 knots the consumption is as low as 120 litres per hour!" Mark commented, when asked about some of the special features of the 50 metre series."Satori has a total of 5 cabins with the striking Remi Tessier interior, Ice Angel is different with her 6 cabins and highly customised interior designed by her owner. Ventura has 7 cabins and Azuro has 6 cabins and both have interior design by Francesco Paszkowski in different but contemporary style, so all the yachts are different and each has been customised to their owner's requirements".When we ask about the stage of the construction, Mark says: "Construction is at a very advanced stage. The luxury interior is being installed and the paintwork is about 90%. She will be launched into the water at the end of March!"Looking at that luxury interior, Paszkowski’s style takes the form of natural minimalism and Azuro is an ideal yacht for such a beautifully pure concept. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/146975/image/large-8d0f0a0bafe13020d62b95d0b728f948.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146975">Just three materials have been selected for all interior surfaces: teak, limestone and leather. Sophisticated naval architecture, combined with Heesen’s weight reduction expertise and a pair of 2.720kW MTU engines have combined to create a yacht with a range of 3.200nm and top flight fuel economy. Twelve guests are accommodated in 6 cabins, 5 of which (including a VIP suite which occupies the yacht’s full beam) are located on the lower deck, while the owner’s suite, that also occupies the full-beam, is located forward on the main deck.Photo by Christo303

This streamlined 50 metre all aluminium yacht, with exterior lines by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, is the third in the 50 metre class and sister ship to the multi-award winning M/Y Satori and YN 15850.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/143400/image/large-9bc8839c831a3988536a4160af537955.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/143400">However, the layout of superyacht Ventura is completely different from her sister vessels. The owners chose to have two suites: A romantic one with panoramic 280 degree views on the bridge deck aft and a second “passage cabin” which will be more practical when under way, traditionally located forward on the main deck.The owners chose a custom dark metallic grey for the hull and a light metallic grey for the superstructure. This innovative colour scheme gives Ventura a very elegant and distinctive look. In total twelve guests are accommodated in six cabins. As well as the two master suites, on the lower deck there’s a full-beam VIP cabin plus one twin and two double cabins.Acclaimed Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski created the sophisticated minimalistic interior décor. Last Saturday the winners of the World Superyacht Awards were announced at the luxurious Çırağan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, Turkey. Heesen's 50 metre superyacht Satori in Montenegro

It's always exciting when new standards are being set in the superyacht industry. On February 25 of this year, Heesen Yachts did just that by launching YN 15250, named Satori. With sleek lines and at 50 metres, she is one of the world's fastest vessels of this size, impressively reaching top speeds of up to 24 knots. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136923/image/large-3b72de19af14765fd71ff0f105d9f0fa.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136923">With the Oss, the Netherlands-based shipyard being more than experienced within the scope of 44-47 metre vessels, after launching an impressive seventeen superyachts within this range, this solid base of knowledge was used to develop a new pinnacle for the industry. Being the first in a collection of semi-custom superyachts, <a href="http://Heesen%20Yachts">Satori</a> paves the way for exciting new ventures in yachting in an eloquently balanced manner. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136924/image/large-c81a277379264e8c9cb7c794824e1eca.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136924">     <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136925/image/large-6c6140e33df27f39dc61780dd7eca31b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136925">Combining top speed with highly economical fuel burn, Satori successfully proves eco-friendly design can go hand in hand with top performance, as she currently is the most efficient 50 metres vessel on the market. On top of that, Heesen’s formula of a widely appealing design and cost effectiveness proves to be indispensible in developing a semi-custom superyacht. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136926/image/large-ce5c7bb0c7dffdad167e311545fe59e9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136926">Deservedly so, her christening took place during this year's Monaco Grand Prix. By applying to be a member of Monaco's “La Belle Classe Superyacht”-certification, Satori promised to be a swift vessel, yet remaining gentle to her surroundings. This delicate balance is reflected in the vessel's name, which in Zen Buddhism refers to a sudden enlightenment being the first step to Nirvana. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136927/image/large-4cdf1f4786b5c830f7dc2ed14cb871a6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136927">With her clean lines designed by Omega Architects' Frank Laupman, her owner appointed award-winning French designer Rémi Tessier to take on her interior design. His design philosophy might be best described by Tessier himself, with luxury being an “art of providing detail without ostentation” and by “exulting the essential”. As design is in the details, Satori's interior design might seem elementary at first glance but one will inevitably dwell upon the richness in details and refinement that this vessel has to offer. Upon entering the main saloon one is immediately struck by an overall sense of tranquillity. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136928/image/large-0ed267f8128c40d21fa96f865d8822b4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136928">This serene, crystal clear atmosphere greatly enhances once one gets a chance to truly appreciate the attention of detail that has been put into this design. Satori’s well balanced elegance is immediately illustrated by the main saloon dining table. The saloon being divided into three main areas, the table can be adjusted in height to accommodate several styles of dining, which subsequently instantly changes the entire dynamic of the space. Whether set high, for more formal dining, or lowered for a more informal, lounging style of socializing, this multifunctional design points out the emphasis on balance, elegance and finesse in the vessel's design. This is a design that proves richness in detail does not necessarily results in abundance. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136929/image/large-18abdd63a759acc688ef11cd5356873f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136929">With an emphasis on symmetry, upon entering the main saloon from the aft deck, a semi-circular lounging sofa can be found. Being able to rotate around the central table for a full 360 degrees, either as a whole or divided into two equally sized parts, this again proves the intelligence that has been put into the design. Separated from this lounging space by a bar, the surface of which double functions as part of the lighting scheme, the central sitting area can be found. The lower deck guest cabins are divided into two full beam VIP cabins and two twins. The design of all cabins, and all other areas, is based on a colour palette that is all about tranquillity and balance. Consisting of whites, greys and the natural deep dark browns of lacquered wood, this palette perfectly is complimented by flowing natural light and just the right amount of reflective surfaces. One could say it takes some time to fully appreciate Satori's interior spaces, but the quality is undeniable. Superyacht of the Week: The stunning 50 metre Heesen Satori

The Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has announced that superyacht Satori has recently been awarded two World Yacht Trophies in Cannes and the prestigious Prix du Design in Monaco. Satori is the first of Heesen’s new 50m aluminium class. She was delivered last May and officially christened during the Monaco Grand Prix, and has been cruising extensively in the Mediterranean. The World Yacht Trophies ceremony took place at the Carlton Beach, Cannes in mid-September. Satori was competing in the category Custom Yachts under 50m and she won both the Best Design and Best Layout and Decoration awards. Fabio Ermetto, Sales and Marketing Director at Heesen Yachts, collected the prizes and commented: “I am honoured to receive these two prizes on behalf of the Owner. Satori is a beautiful vessel. Her clean, distinctive design and perfect execution are the result of incredible team work. HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, Gaëlle Tallarida – GM of the show – and Anna Becker from Nymphenburg, presented Satori’s Owner with the Prix du Design. The stunning trophy, the Volute Bowl, is a unique piece of ceramic designed by Ted Muheling and entirely hand crafted at the Nymphenburg atelier in Munich. Currently, eleven yachts, whose combined lengths total some 534 metres, will be delivered to their owners up to 2015 by Heesen Yachts. Superyacht Satori wins Prix du Design and two World Yacht Trophies

A call to Heesen Yachts confirms which superyachts the Dutch shipyard will be bringing to the September yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. First up, at the Cannes boat show, the yard is brining it's latest innovative superyacht, Aurelia. Aurelia is the tenth in the successful 37metre class built by this Dutch shipyard. Styled by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, her sleek and elegant lines are enhanced by a paint scheme inspired by Gulf Racing colours, with a number 10 (that relates to the hull number) on her quarters. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135940/image/large-95bcff2134758a1a4ba36a733a02d5b1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135446">In fact the whole yacht is inspired by racing cars: the name that she bears is a tribute to the first ever GT Lancia Aurelia. The theme is carried out throughout the vessel with all the cabins named after racing car designers. Nakhimov introduced Bannenberg &amp; Rowell to the owner who was impressed by the richness of materials and elaborate details that characterise the style of this design firm and decided to hire them to create Aurelia’s interiors. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135941/image/large-3d692d72c19973856b8c80a3a9a822d3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135447">The main salon is divided in two; a dining area with a large rounded table and a cosy lounge space with an L-shaped sofa, two design armchairs and a fire place (by Australian company Eco Smart) that uses Bio Ethanol – a wonderful piece of design. “We gave it a pretty low level streamlined style, slightly masculine…inspired by the Dunhill cigarette lighter aesthetic” says Simon Rowell, from Bannenberg &amp; Rowell. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135942/image/large-51268112e2129cca576c5d0b73ca184c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134213">At the Monaco Yacht Show the yard will be bringing two superyachts, Satori (above) and Quinta Essentia. Built on the experience of launching seventeen 44- and 47-metre custom yachts, the hull of this new 50 metre is currently the most efficient on the market. This semi-displacement yacht represents one of the most organic superyachts built by Heesen to date, with her unique atrium-like curve in the centre and with her striking external colour scheme, designed by Dobroserdov Design, of Oyster White and Merlot Red, inspired by the owner's love for Merlot wine. Heesen Yachts delivers superyacht Satori

Hampshire based Pascoe International has announced the launch of the 50th Shuttle tender in their range of super yacht tenders for the recently launched 50m superyacht Satori from Heesen Yachts in Holland. The Shuttle range has been extremely successful due to its versatility as a luxury guest launch, powerful watersports tender and all round crew work horse.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135034/image/large-3e50954921bd2fdaa22238c9a1b86d08.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135034">This 50th Shuttle is the second 7.0m to be built with the new mid engine layout which was specifically designed to accommodate the launch and recovery system on the 50m mother ship. Pascoe’s ability to meet the client’s requirements resulted in a tender with an improved ride, evenly balanced on the lifting points and providing excellent seating options. Since launching this model at the Monaco Yacht Show 2010 Pascoe has received four further orders for the mid engine model ranging from 7.0 to 7.4m.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135035/image/large-03e2b45e20e36dc71c07391259438432.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135035">Despite the global economic crisis during the last 2-3 years, Pascoe International has bucked the trend with a 20% increase in sales for 2010 and 2011’s order book reached maximum capacity before the end of 2010. As a result of this success Pascoe has taken on a new 530sq m (5700sq ft) work shop on their existing site at Universal Marina, Southampton. The total floor area of the Pascoe production facility has now increased by 46% to just under 1700sq m (18,150sq ft).<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/135036/image/large-a355721f6b796c3d4e69d9b63433a756.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135036">The new workshop will house the tender assembly and engineering works, leaving the existing main workshop entirely dedicated to composite work. On the main deck the saloon is divided into three distinct areas and features a notable round dining table, which can be lowered to create a more informal dining style. Following this simple operation the atmosphere of the saloon is completely changed, transforming it into a magnificent open space ideal for lounging and relaxation. Guests are able to enjoy their life at sea in four different exterior social areas. These comprise a 20 metre long, split-level sun deck with a large custom Jacuzzi, sunbathing terrace and bar; the forward cockpit with U-shaped enclosed sofas facing a large sunbathing area; the al fresco dining area on the upper deck aft; and the aft cockpit. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/134215/image/large-58ea08dd55ded8d90457e4a503218be7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134215">Captain Mark Lacey, who was also the owner’s Project Manager, comments: “This yacht has pushed Heesen’s custom abilities to an even higher level of excellence. In the construction of this yacht there has been emphatically no place for the response ‘this is not possible’ and we have approached the entire build with this inspiration in mind. Every person of the team has been working extremely hard to create a balanced and beautiful design that I hope will become a classic.” The delivery of Satori is scheduled for April 2011, after intensive sea trials in the North Sea. Heesen Yachts has currently sixteen yachts under construction (a total length of 773m) which will be delivered to their owners by 2014. Heesen Yachts launches 50 metre superyacht Satori

The outfitting of hull number 14955 has now started in Building Hall 7, while hull number 15250 was moved into Building Hall 1 for completion. 4YOU Following intensive sea trials in the North Sea Heesen Yachts is proud to announce that the delivery of <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1564">4YOU</a> has now taken place. This 47-metre is a sister-ship of hull number 12947, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/474">Sirocco</a>, (launched in 2006) and hull number 14247, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/56">Celestial Hope</a> (launched in 2008). This leads on into a social area furnished with coffee tables, armchairs and pouffes where an eight-seater table, custom made from American walnut and topped with leather, is inlaid with intricate patterns of matt silver. Here, guests can enjoy live music from a baby-grand piano that dominates the aft portion of the room, while the plasma screen is hidden by a unique piece of art deco-inspired art, made by Dutch glass maker Glass Déco, this combines several panels of glass, delicately coloured in pale blue and light gold, to create a marine scene. A further example of inlaid stainless steel can be seen in the doors of a dark wood cabinet. An elegant full-service bar topped with American walnut and white Carrara marble is positioned aft, adjacent to the sliding doors that give access to the aft portion of the bridge deck, where the primary function is open air dining. One deck above is the sundeck whose centre portion, like <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1564">4YOU</a>'s sister-ship <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/474">Sirocco</a>, can be partially enclosed. This deck offers an open-air fitness centre and a spa pool area that can be fully covered by an awning supported by carbon-fibre retractable pillars. Eight guests can be accommodated on the lower deck in four cabins, of which two are twins and two are VIP doubles. Located forward on the main deck, the master suite is entered through the owner's office and leads on through a pair of walk-in wardrobes to the master bedroom, which occupies the yacht's full beam. Hull Number 15250<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129806/image/large-e0601e9663d21f81fff5a9bdc2fcb621.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129806">In October the first yacht in the new 5000 class hull number <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2470">15250</a>, a semi-displacement 50-metre motor-yacht of below 500GT was moved from Building Hall 6, where the hull was welded, into Building Hall 1, where she will be completed. Her interior, conceived by the renowned French designer Rémi Tessier, is in minimalist style, while remaining totally luxurious. Hull Number 14955 The fully customised 55-metre semi-displacement motor yacht, Hull Number <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1549">14955 </a>has been moved into Building Hall 7 for completion. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129809/image/large-e1859dfa5c110900a036731bd0b41535.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129809">This represents the biggest yacht to be built at Heesen to date. Powered by a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M93 diesel engines, each developing 5,600hp and each driving a five-blade propeller, she will reach the remarkable speed of 24 knots. This performance is, in part, due to Heesen's in-house Naval Architecture Department who conceived innovative hull lines with a large flare rising up to the chine that deflects spray and improves the sea-keeping ability of the vessel. Drawn by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the exterior styling of this yacht is characterized by two main features the huge windows with arched tops and bottoms, positioned amidships, that draw in extraordinary amounts of light while providing the guests with wide vistas, and the unique rounded and cantilevered side-deck balconies that extend from the owner's suite. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129810/image/large-a4355639365e7d8354fa8e1324cf8d17.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129810">The futuristic interior design sprung from the creative genius of Ken Freivokh Design which, among other stunning details, sports a triple height atrium with glass lift, steps and walls, and a waterfall that tumbles from the sundeck pool into a second custom-built pool located on the bridge deck aft. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129811/image/large-280eb48d28742da6050f08b468b914a4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129811">Another interesting feature on this fully custom 55-metre that is due for launch in 2011 is the 'wet dock' in the stern tender garage that allows the tender and the water toys to be floated in, before the dock is drained.
