The deal for the lease/purchase of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a>’s 51.8-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/856" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lazy Z51.8m (169'11&quot;)Oceanco1997">Lazy Z</a> has been closed. Kent Chamberlain of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/659" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Chamberlain Yachts (Company)">Chamberlain Yachts International</a> handled the negotiations, who extended thanks to Wayne Kurian and the National Save The Sea Turtles Foundation for their assistance. Her main saloon is a lot larger in size and is the perfect spot to kick back with all those onboard. The deal for the lease/purchase of Oceanco’s 51.8-metre motor yacht Lazy Z has been closed.

After 841 days on the market, the 51.8-metre yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/856" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lazy Z51.8m (169'11&quot;)Oceanco1997">Lazy Z</a> has been sold. John Cohen of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/322" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Merle Wood & Associates, Inc. Business first began for the Dutch shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> in 1987 and ever since, the shipyard has specialised in the construction of custom full displacement yachts. In 2002, the Alblasserdam-based superyacht builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> entered the niche market of 80-metre plus yachts and developed the “Y Generation” Oceanco yachts. To date, the biggest <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> yacht delivered by the shipyard is the 110-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4796" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Jubilee110.1m (361'3&quot;)Oceanco2017">Jubilee</a> from 2017.&nbsp;Since its inception, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> has built 33 yachts over 30-metres according to our database: 31 motor yachts and two sailing yachts. These <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> yachts have a combined total length of 2,482 metres, an average length of 75.2 metres and an average volume of 1,975 gross tonnes (GT). The average used <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/oceanco/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Oceanco yacht for sale</a> is listed for €64.4 million or €41,000 per GT - however - the 50-90-metres size range market is almost twice the average with an average asking price of €30.4 million per yacht or €32,000 per GT. Their average asking price per yacht is €24.6 million with an average volume of 925GT and an average asking price per GT of €27,000. Their average asking price per GT is €42,000 and they have been on the market for an average of 403 days.Staying in the Netherlands with steel-hulled motor yachts, we take a look at used <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/amels/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Amels yachts for sale</a> in the 50-90-metre size range. In this category, there are currently nine used<a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/amels/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">&nbsp;Amels yachts for sale</a> built from 2000 onwards. They have an average asking price of €50.3 million, an average volume of 1,080GT and an average asking price per GT of €47,000. For 2017 and 2018 combined it is a total of seven used Oceanco yachts sold. For the total used fleet sold in this time period in the size range of 40-110 metres, this average stood at 768 days.The eight <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a> yachts sold in the last two and a half years represented a total value of €590 million in terms of final asking prices. Their average last asking price was €73.3 million per yacht or €29,480 per GT. Florida-based shipyard Derecktor has recently completed an intensive refit on the 50 metre Oceanco Lazy Z. Various cosmetic, structural and advanced engineering modifications were made to the yacht, which was returned to service in June this year.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155747/image/large-2883094ea69af486ed92d88a9274cef5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155747">Work included the opening of the hull to remove her main engines which were replaced with two new MTU 16V 2000 models. Other engineering upgrades include the renewal of her onboard sewage treatment plants, in addition to other system upgrades and maintenance. Derecktor shipyard completes extensive refit to Lazy Z

Derecktor Shipyard has announced that work has begun on the refit and re-powering of the 168' charter superyacht Lazy Z from Oceanco. Built in 1997, the vessel is set to undergo a significant cosmetic and mechanical refit in addition to the replacement of the existing engines with MTU 16V2000's.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/152517/image/large-43c628397b3d5c2e8d59d9eea0aa82ee.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/133143">In addition, she will also have a full exterior paint by Chi, teak decking upgrades by Sterling and modifications to the Sundeck by Transform. Inside, her interior salon areas and stairwell are due to be re-configured.Derecktor will be responsible for the mechanical refit in addition to the engine change. The installation of new main engine exhausts by de Angelo, air conditioning system by Cuge and a new black water system by Headhunter are also part of the work scope.Completion is scheduled for May 2015.By Gemma Fottles

Starting off the winter season in the Caribbean, the Antigua Yacht Charter Meeting, from the 5th – 11th December, was dominated by CNI Central Agency yachts, including the 51.4m (168’) Lazy Z which stormed through the Concourse de Chef, with Emma Rye winning the main chef competition and the Caribbean Coffee competition, whilst the best table setting was awarded to Lazy Z’s Chief Stewardess Madurya Abitol. A triple Crown Winner! <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123817/image/large-59c366c2c906270f87954a04214e8236.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123817">The Superyacht Cup Antigua was held between the 12th and 15t December in Antigua. Sponsored by CNI, the race included CNI’s own central agency the 35m (115’) <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1293">Sojana</a>, which stormed through the fleet on the final day to win overall. The third and final race of the Superyacht Cup saw all the yachts finishing within 10 minutes of each other. Brokerage A collection of new listings hit the seas last month at CNI. Fernando Nicholson from CNI Miami announces the 33.48m (110’) Neta Marine <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2003">Shanti</a> as a new listing. This new Turkish Gulet is a beautiful classic design, high quality build. Boasting two master cabins and two further guest cabins, a large deck area for relaxing and entertaining, she is ideal for cruising. Georges Bourgoignie, also from CNI Miami, announces that the 49m (162’) <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2004">Mystique</a> from Oceanfast is available for sale. Built in 1988, and designed by Jon Bannenberg, she is offered for sale for the first time. Well maintained by original crew and owner since her launch, all her systems have been updated with the latest technologies. Craig Erickson announces the 30m (99’) Hargrave <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2006">Katina</a> as a new listing. Built by Hargrave Custom Yachts, she is a spacious and well appointed four stateroom yacht with superb interior areas on deck for entertaining and relaxing. Staying on the US side of the Atlantic, Jim Wallace from CNI Palm Beach announces the completion of a 25m (82’) Trawler, which was full outfitted under direction of CNI and is preparing for a round-the-world-trip in 2008. Jim also announces the signing of a new build project with Abeking &amp; Rasmussen. The vessel will be a new benhmark for yachts in the 60m size range, due for completion in 2010. Bill Sanderson, also of CNI Palm Beach announces the sale of the 31m (103’) Cheoy Lee Blue Sky, along with the sale of the 50m (164’) <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/195">Andale</a>, in collaboration with John Ciullo from the CNI Fort Lauderdale office. On the other side of the Atlantic, Mike Payne of CNi Antibes announces the 25.1m Sedation from Sunseeker as a new listing. A stunning example of this successful Sports Cruiser, Sedation’s spacious accommodation is finished in Cherrywood and features four en suite guest cabins. Mike also announces the unique opportunity to purchase the new build <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/317">Sunrise 45</a> from Sunrise Yachting due for delivery in Spring 2009. The Sunrise 45 comes from the pedigree designs of Paolo Scanu and Franck Darnet, whilst her engineering systems are provided by Valentijn of Holland. With her long range she is capable of transpacific distances but is also suitable for summer coastal cruising. She accommodates 12 guests in absolute luxury. Simon Goldsworthy, of CNI Antibes, and Neil Cheston, of CNI Monaco, have jointly sold the 40m (131’) <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1036">Antares</a> from Royal Huisman in an in-house deal. Simon also announces the sale of the 38.1m (125’) <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1144">Ligaya</a> from Ocean Pacifico. Charter Expect to see some new names among existing favourites as the CNI charter division welcomes four yachts to the fleet. The 43.95m (143’) Heesen <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/293">Sedation</a>, built in 1997, is currently undergoing a complete refit and will be available Summer 08 in the Mediterranean. Another addition to the fleet is the 29.36m (96’) Serenity Now. Debuting at the Antigua Yacht Charter Meeting in December 07, she was built by Westship in 1991 and refit in 2006. She is available for charter in the Virgin Islands and Leeward Islands this winter and Summer 08. The 29.75m (97’) Gigi by Hargrave also joined the US fleet. Built in 2005, she is available in the Bahamas this winter before heading to New England for the Summer season. Also debuting in the Caribbean this winter season is the 26.5m/87’ Monarch II from Johnson. She will be crossing to the Mediterranean for the summer season. Finally, the 24.4m (80’) Dolce Vita from Cantieri Arno is available in the Bahamas this winter before heading to the Med for a summer season.

A new addition to the CNI fleet and showing at the Antigua Charter Show she accommodates eight guests in four cabins.The 34.8m Lady Rita by Northcoast Yachts, launched in 1998 has been refit to immaculate condition. Available in the Caribbean this Winter and then for Summer in the Bahamas her new interior boasts sea foam and sand tones throughout, complemented by a Jacuzzi on the upper deck, with barbeque and wet bar. And finally, the 23m sailing yacht Carle Linn from Rodrigo Olson joins the CNI charter fleet, with her debut during the Antigua Yacht Charter Show in December followed by a Caribbean winter season.
