<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/293" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mulder Shipyard (Company)">Mulder Shipyard</a>, the Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk-based and family-run Dutch yacht builder, has bought its fourth facility in Enkhuizen, located in the north west of the Netherlands. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/217894/image/large-5c28a271513a37b93106f2f5baa9884c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/217894">The new shipyard comprises two hull construction sheds – large enough to accommodate yachts up to 50 metres in length – and a separate shed for interior and deck work, which <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/293" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mulder Shipyard (Company)">Mulder</a> will make use of in the future.&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/293" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mulder Shipyard (Company)">Mulder</a> stated that the purchase of this new facility will strengthen the builder's position as it will ensure autonomy, while simultaneously helping optimise delivery time and quality. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/217892/image/large-9d70a5f00251a5ebcc617ff49968ed39.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/217892">“This heavy-duty construction shed has historically facilitated the build of multiple yachts, including the 43-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1660" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Latitude43.5m (142'9&quot;)Acico Yachts2010">Latitude</a> and 49-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3404" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nassima49.18m (161'4&quot;)Acico Yachts2012">Nassima</a> amongst other vessels. 30m yacht Mahalo sold in Auckland

The 30m yacht Mahalo was sold in an Auckland-based deal with a last known asking price of €6,000,000.

The 30-metre superyacht A2 has been sold to an Australian client, West Nautical has announced. Built by the Dutch Mulder shipyard in 2014, she features an exterior design from Guido de Groot, naval architecture from Ginton Naval Architects, and an interior from the drawing boards of Omega architects.

A2 was sold with West Nautical representing both the buyer and the seller in the deal. The company note that her participation in the 2016 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show was a significant contributing factor in the closing of the deal, with her new owner first visiting the yacht at the event.

Geoff Moore, Managing Director at West Nautical comments on the sale: "‘A2’ is a truly excellent example of a classic all-aluminium Dutch motor yacht. She is in an 'as new' condition having only completed 550 miles under the original ownership, and is in immaculate condition for the new owner to enjoy this summer. It has been a delight to work with the buyer and his team to conclude this deal swiftly and successfully. We congratulate the new Owner and his family on a wonderful purchase and wish them happy sailing!"

At the time of sale A2 was listed at an asking price of €5,950,000.

The largest Mulder Flybridge ever built, the Mulder 98 Flybridge saw it’s global launch during the HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show earlier this year.On a rainy, windy and cold October day, I stepped on board for a sea trial. Despite the weather, the ride was smooth, and above all, silent.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151400/image/large-30b9e6f0ce7d8ee42805588f90356d15.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151400">Boasting exterior designs by Guido de Groot Design, naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects and interiors by Omega Architects, the new full aluminium 30 metre superyacht features a round-bilged hull. The shipyard comments, “She will appeal to an owner who appreciates timeless style over current fashion trends. Her dynamic lines and anthracite-coloured bimini emphasise her length while the softness of the yacht’s surfaces adds an extra air of class. Mulder's craftsmanship can be clearly seen throughout the main joinery, where brushed nickel lines are the main theme, resulting in beautiful and elegantly designed cabinets and walls. Luxurious fabrics of silk, wool and linen such as Dedar, Pierre Frei, Elitis and Spinneybeck leather and wool-silk carpets of Tai Ping were used to bring about a sophisticated ambience of comfort and style. The entire custom-built interior consists of stained walnut. The dining area in the spacious saloon with its stunning Onyx Honey window columns accommodates up to eight people and makes for a truly elegant dining experience. The professional galley on the port side is fully equipped, including a 12 kW steam oven, and offers a direct connection to the gangway. The crew quarters are accessible from the swimming platform and the gangway on the main deck, and also offer access to the engine room. The tender can be placed either on the swimming platform or on the wide flybridge. Due to a special insulation method and her ‘floating’ interior, the sound and vibration levels of the Mulder 98 Flybridge are extremely low. In consultation with the owner, the yacht was built fully in accordance with RINA certification.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151411/image/large-d0278d10a0b6877f40f91e3d519ada8f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151411">Marking a milestone in length for the Mulder Flybridge range, the first Mulder Flybridge was built in 1992 - a 19 metre yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. In 1994 the second was delivered with two Caterpillar engines of 1100 hp offering a top speed of 25 knots. Later Flybridge yachts have been built with both steel and aluminium hulls, the choice of which depends on the desired speed and range. Today, some models are built entirely in aluminium like the latest Mulder 98 Flybridge for a higher top speed while maintaining a large range and very good sailing capacities, while other models are equipped with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, which are great for transatlantic trips and long, comfortable stays at displacement speeds.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151412/image/large-b9cab78410a651ce41f22ba857b5d964.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151412"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151413/image/large-53208fb07af7a4303aebf37468edb1f4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151413">The shipyard reports that initially the Russian owner of the new Mulder 98 Flybridge requested a design for a 26 metre model. This was soon extended to 28 metres, however, and in 2010, a contract was finally signed for an even larger yacht, the 30 metre Mulder Flybridge we see today. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151414/image/large-c609bf0dd6f9ea2ff97f7f8450d74d35.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151414">The naval architecture of the yacht was started in early 2011, with the construction of the hull getting underway at the end of that year. Seatrialing the new Mulder 98

Mulder Shipyard successfully launched the first 30.5 metre aluminium Mulder 98 Flybridge. Mulder launches the Mulder 98 Flybridge

Construction of the new 30-metre Mulder 98 Flybridge is wel underway at Mulder Shipyard’s new facilities in Zoeterwoude Rijndijk. The interior consists largely of American walnut, both stained and natural, and the design comprises striking contrasts in both colours and materials. For instance, there are many leather panels, while various brushed stainless steel details create a modern ambiance. The entire interior is built in house by Mulder Interior Construction, and will be ‘floating’ in order to ensure optimal sound and vibration insulation.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/144322/image/large-d1dc56ce97f45380d2cd82d6b3713027.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144322">The yard is also working on a Mulder 94 Voyager, ordered by a Russian client. Construction of Mulder 98 Flybridge well underway

The construction of the new 30-metre Mulder 98 Flybridge is currently in full swing. In consultation with the client, Mulder Shipyard commissioned Frank Laupman of Omega Architects to design the interior of this boat. Omega has previously designed the interior of the second Bellagio, which was recently sold by Mulder Shipyard. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/139471/image/large-e804e0e2f274c05a3f06c7933751a60a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137253"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/139472/image/large-8e18089492e0319f25b1838fddb885dc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137254">Work is presently ongoing on the 30-metre aluminium hull of the new Mulder 98 Flybridge. Once the hull is completed, the next step will be the installation of the piping for the various systems. Mulder Shipyard is currently working together with several other naval architects in addition to Omega Architects. Omega interior for the new Mulder 98 Flybridge

The Millionaire Fair Amsterdam 2011 was one of the most spectacular editions ever. Celebrations for its tenth birthday ensured a memorable event for exhibitors and visitors alike in the Amsterdam RAI. Mulder Shipyard at the Millionaire Fair Amsterdam 2011 

Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands has started construction of the new Mulder 98 Flybridge, the contracts for which were signed earlier this year. The yacht has been designed by Guido de Groot with Jaron Ginton in charge of the naval architecture. The Mulder 98 Flybridge is being built for a client from Russia, and will be delivered in the second quarter of 2013. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/137253/image/large-f93dbdb91d7a872329c24747793661e0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137253"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/137254/image/large-2e60702b59d762f33dd72a38caececc3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137254">The Mulder 98 Flybridge has a length of 30.00 metres over all, and a beam of 6.90 metres. It will be powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines with a capacity of 1600 hp each, offering a maximum speed of 22 knots. The yacht has a fuel capacity of 17,000 litres, providing a range of 4,000 nm at ten knots. The hull will be built in accordance with Lloyd’s classification. The new Mulder 98 Flybridge will be the first yacht to be launched from the new Mulder Shipyard yard. This second facility situated ten kilometres from the current Mulder yard will cover an area of 7000 square metres and focus on the maintenance, refit and new build of yachts between 18 and 40 metres. The Flybridge yachts have been a major international success. Another Mulder 98 Flybridge was delivered to an Egyptian client in 2010 and the yard recently sold a Mulder 73 Flybridge to an Australian client who had seen the New Zealand-owned Mulder 76 Flybridge Dutchess at the Auckland yacht show.
