Yesterday I spend some time on board superyacht Dream On at the Cannes Boat Show. Dream On is listed for sale with Oceanstyle and Burgess, who only recently announced a significant price reduction. Dream On's asking price has been lowered from € 12,400,000 to € 9,500,000. Live report from Cannes: superyacht Dream On

The Festival de la Plaisance in September so far sees Oceanstyle welcoming six of their (co)central sales listings at the yacht show. They are superyachts Dream On, Blink, Margaret Ann, Element, Miss Rose, and the smallest of the fleet, Cristal. Major price reduction for superyacht Dream On

Interior photography by David ChurchillQuietly, and rather below the yachting industry radar, an experienced Turkish maritime family built a displacement motor yacht in the comprehensive shipbuilding facilities in Tusla, south of Istanbul. Dream On was delivered in Spring 2008. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127557/image/large-cbceee0a9b3cd2b6b78c71349d9db433.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127557">Bannenberg were commissioned to design an interior with glamour and richness, taking advantage of the large volume within the Soyaslan-designed hull and superstructure. Working closely with the Owners, rosewood, oak and shagreen were used extensively throughout the accommodation on joinery executed with great precision and quality by Ulutas. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127558/image/large-c40876747e3f5dec435cf48399311f4d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127558">The drawing development programme with the interior outfitter was unusual and concise: detailed sketches by Simon Rowell – Bannenberg Creative Director – were turned into shop drawings, complete with isometric views of all components, by Ulutas. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127559/image/large-89f5c9ec6f3d77bdce9c0bc4c1ae3059.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127559"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127560/image/large-2015fb02f5d9f6a5328f2f5a0f0784d9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127560"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127561/image/large-fd1b9e8b3c303c039105001e542f3651.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127561">Particular Turkish influences in the interior came from the carpets – all from local ( and international ) supplier Stepevi – and the Ottoman ceramic motif which was developed into bronze panelling along the Main Deck corridor. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127562/image/large-08eb750009e2ddce3830c8d73e8487f2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127562"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127563/image/large-29ed4612615f4703be209a07073496e6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127563">The Main Salon provides an elegant seating area aft with pieces by Kingcome, a pair of striking red Africa chairs by Promemoria and handed chairs by Todd Hase, upholstered in Designers Guild charcoal and gunmetal fabric. A dramatic cabinet housing a TV divides the seating from the forward dining area where a custom designed circular table is illuminated by a William Yeoward chandelier composed of pulled shards of opaque glass. This required a degree of marinising to avoid the peace of meals being disturbed by the clink of swaying glass. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127564/image/large-625815ff906c01ccac0fb62457c29c97.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127564"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127565/image/large-4ad3cb8c0791f34834b77c94168784e5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127565"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127566/image/large-c668dc986b38dcb7d322f566deb3f6ff.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127566">Moving forward along the passageway, floor panelling of hammered timber provide a textural counterpoint to the rosewood and Ottoman bronze panelling, before the luxurious Stepevi wool and silk carpeting leads to the Owner’s Stateroom where calm oak panelling with nickel highlights sit with distinctive rosewood window surrounds. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127567/image/large-acf72143afbb62174ac3b714dac14de0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127567"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127568/image/large-470a4ea1420e6d24f9c26cf19c404eee.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127568"> <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/127569/image/large-38bec531b9cbff6244fc45d05ee7face.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127569">The Skylounge is marked by comfortable seating arranged to see a large flat screen TV concealed behind secret panelling on the forward elevation. A pair of custom-designed Bannenberg coffee tables sit port and starboard. SuperYacht of the Week: Dream On, a design with glamour and richness

The British design studio Bannenberg &amp; Design is working with major shipyards around the world on many different superyacht projects. They are working with Baglietto on the interior of a 41 metre yacht, in the United States with Trinity Yachts on the design of a 60 metre motor yacht and other projects include two 60 metre Abeking &amp; Rasmussen yachts, and an 85 metre Lürssen and two Benetti’s.
