After following her through her initial construction stages over a year ago, SYT takes a closer look at the recently delivered 46.33-metre luxury superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a>. Built by the family-owned shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1840" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mural Yachts (Company)">Mural Yachts</a> in Turkey, the construction of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a> was a very smooth process with the yard turning a semi-complete deck structure to a fair-ready hull and superstructure in 12 months.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/60289/image/large-9c67c2cf0e2bbe6d37be8ee5dfc0c710.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/60289">With the aim of achieving a superyacht balanced in both form and function, all of the yachts created by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1840" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mural Yachts (Company)">Mural Yachts</a> undergo thorough sea trials and relevant classification approval. The RINA classed and MCA compliant steel and aluminium built project was signed by a Turkish client in September 2015. Spread over four decks and just under 500GT, she has been created with a family-focus at the heart of her design, which was created completely in-house at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1840" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mural Yachts (Company)">Mural Yachts</a>.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/58118/image/large-bebb0d39a55ea8b76a02a7228018fe48.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58118">The exterior design has been fashioned in a contemporary style with a modern twist so when she is seen on the water she appears sleek and well-balanced. With large windows throughout, the superyacht’s interiors - styled in oak and sycamore with a teak trim - are filled with plenty of light to compliment her open and airy layout, which is able to be modified by her new owner.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/60292/image/large-1f40a745d5bbee7e03999c82c009f98e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/60292">Up to ten guests can choose from five staterooms: one master suite, three doubles and a twin. If the entertainment centres, television screens and en-suite bathrooms aren’t enough in the staterooms, guests can enjoy <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a>’s close to 400m2 outdoor teak decks.Her large sun deck is one of her central spaces for entertainment, with a wet bar, TV, bathing platform, and three separate seating areas. The aft upper deck provides an alternative area for sunbathing as well as a generous al fresco dining area, while another seating area is found in front of the wheelhouse.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/59902/image/large-bcd445403b0fbdb67e1ed9e699608c2d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/59902">Forward of the upper deck seating area, the foredeck is easily accessed and can be utilised for a multitude of purposes. Low bulwarks make this deck feel even more spacious. If desired this foredeck structure can allow for a large crane to be installed for additional toy storage. The aft main deck allows for more sheltered dining, and from here, the large swim platform is accessed and gives <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a> plenty of options for manoeuvring a 5.2-metre tender. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/58122/image/large-25433a7e4a88d16206ea3c7a94f6f858.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58122"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a> is presently managed by a crew of seven for private use, but can accommodate a crew of nine. Her crew, or enthusiastic owner, can enjoy the large workspaces and top notch supplies and materials in the engine room. From here, the superyacht can be propelled by her twin 1200 hp Cummins KTA 38M2 diesel engines to a top speed of 16 knots. Turkish shipyard Mural Yachts are making good progress in the construction of its flagship motor yacht, the 46-metre project <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor.</a> Over the past 12 months the yacht builder went from a semi-complete deck structure to a fair-ready hull and superstructure. Build update: Project Meteor by Mural Yachts

In September 2015 Mural Yachts signed the contract for a new 46.32 metre superyacht. Named project <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6137" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Meteor46.33m (152'0&quot;)Mural Yachts2018">Meteor</a>, the steel cutting started in November 2015 in Turkey and Mural Yachts has undertaken all aspects of her naval architecture and design.
