A VIP up forward, and a double and twin make up the remaining guest sleeping areas. Those onboard can also enjoy a spacious dining area on the aft deck, and a U-shaped lounge on the flybridge. 25m pocket superyacht Jangada finds a new owner

The Dutch shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2948" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Van der Valk Shipyard (Company)">Van der Valk</a> has released the first details on the 32-metre superyacht Jangada 2, which will be the largest yacht in the yard’s custom-series line to date. Featuring a raised pilothouse, the experienced owner and repeat client of the yard placed the order at the end of 2017 and is expecting delivery during the month of May 2019. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/61014/image/large-dc3f33112ede4cfb658d6b30d8898512.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/61014">Designed in partnership with Nick Top and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/234" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Guido de Groot Design (Company)">Guido de Groot</a>, Jangada 2&nbsp;has a wide range of bespoke elements to match the owner’s specific brief. Features include an outdoor dining area, smart wet bar and sunbathing space on the flybridge deck, as well as space for a tender, toys and a crane. The yacht will carry more crew than their previous boats so together with the captain we paid significant attention to these accommodations. Lots of work also went into the spacious galley as we optimised the functional area under the raised pilothouse,” commented designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/234" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Guido de Groot Design (Company)">Guido de Groot.</a>Guido de Groot added:&nbsp;“In a similar vein, the bathroom of the VIP suite on the main deck can be closed off for use by guests during the day after swimming and the like without entering the bedroom itself. This kind of smart thinking typifies the genuinely bespoke nature of the project, which is an impressive achievement by the yard. &nbsp;The owner visited several other top builders before electing for Van der Valk and no other yard could offer him such a tailor-made creation.”&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/61025/image/large-cadfc4cc593a35aa75c9d2288364f818.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/61025">With fuel efficiency in mind, the hull of Jangada 2 features a bulbous bow and is fitted with a Van Oossanen Hull Vane fixed foil. Powered by twin MTU 12V2000 M96L engines, she can read a top speed of 23 knots and be kept steady by the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5108" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="VEEM Ltd. Dutch shipyard Van der Valk has delivered their latest superyacht, the 25 metre Jangada. The second addition to there Continental Three range was a collaboration between with Nick Top, Guido de Groot and the yacht’s experienced owner.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155787/image/large-4678db4b137b8cec92495038fe179b52.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155787">The yacht is fitted with a wide array of advanced features ranging from Volvo’s smart Penta IPS System, fitted with forward-facing counter-rotating propellers, to an aluminum semi displacement hull. Clients can opt for a round bilged full displacement version.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155788/image/large-f5b77eb719a7c8e0bba984baf1966a43.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155788">The interior styling of Jangada was the work of Nick Top and Guido de groot Design. They decided on whitewashed English oak flooring to compliment her bright and clean design cues. Guest areas have been tastefully furnished according the owner’s minimalistic decorative request with the use of contemporary furniture pieces and light coloured surfaces.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155789/image/large-10906a2bb203ca0a4a6a5e894b42bf88.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155789">The yacht’s layout was arranged around the need for four guest cabins. All these have been placed on the lower deck, with a full beam master suite located aft, near the engine room. Closer look at Van der Valk superyacht Jangada

Guido de Groot Design has unveiled his latest design commission for a new 45 metre tri-deck superyacht. The yacht is designed to offer spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms with a crew of up to 8.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154748/image/large-b6f3f351f1cb4977717f8e414cf02fa7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154748">On their website, the Dutch design firm comments: "The distinctive layout features several entertainment zones on the main deck including a large main deck salon aft, and a large dining room fore. Amidships, is an ample galley with an adjacent lounge area featuring a bar and games table. On the bridge deck one will find a large family lounge accompanied by an additional stateroom, office and children’s cabin. The upper aft deck features generous outdoor space for sunbathing with multiple loungers".Meanwhile, we just visited two of Guido's latest launches, Jangada and Santa Maria T, both launched at Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts in Holland. Guido de Groot unveils new 45 metre superyacht

Yesterday, Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts launched a 37 metre superyacht, a launch which was attended by SYT's Eddie Kloosterman. Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts launches Jangada

Two new yachts currently under construction at Wim Van Der Valk Continental Yachts, a Continental III 25.00 Raised Pilothouse, and a Trawler 37.00 were moved outside earlier this month, giving us a brief look at the progress of both projects.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148736/image/large-64b00520a313bbcf7586b6e1076e3533.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148736">The Continental III 25.00 Raised Pilothouse was moved into the sandblasting shed, in preparation of her fairing and painting. The yacht is a sistership of the Continental III 26.00 RPH, which was shortened by 1 metre, upon a special request by the client.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148737/image/large-15d0e921d7c6c1434b6de924a06ca1b5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148737">The Trawler 37.00 was moved outside, in order to join the hull and superstructure. Her rugged good looks by Guido de Groot are combined with a revolutionary new anti-roll damping system. The yacht will be the first ever to have such a system fitted. This in combination with the hull form design makes her a stable and comfortable yacht with great range and efficiency.By Maarten Janssen
