More important, it is the first time <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/66" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Red Dragon51.7m (169'7&quot;)Alloy Yachts2008">Red Dragon</a> has ever raced period, so the yacht’s owner is delighted. “The owner loves to drive, so he drove the whole time and did a great job,” said King.The 44-metre schooner <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5645" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Columbia43.03m (141'2&quot;)Eastern Shipbuilding Group2014">Columbia</a>, one of the most elegant yachts in the L'Esprit 2 fleet, recorded a 43.5 degree of heel on its winning sprint. “We were taking a lot of water over the deck but we were under control,” said guest crew Jakob Havrlant, who counts this as his first Bucket but says it won’t be his last. “Some of the sloops were catching us upwind, but we were a reaching machine on the other legs. Jeff Partin of Fraser Yachts, and Bernard Gallay have listed superyacht Aventura for sale. The yacht was originally built by the Danish Yacht yard, which was a part of the Royal Denship consortium. Holland Jachtbouw has announced the opening of the HJB Refit Centre. This separate division within the state-of-the-art yard close to Amsterdam will take a distinctive approach to major rebuilds that meets the unique requirements of this specialised work. And the needs of captains and crew residing in Holland during the project will be comprehensively met by HJB’s unique Crew Assist programme. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/128678/image/large-db65aa7537002cc685c36f034f01bc72.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/128678">The decision to open the HJB Refit Centre follows the exceptionally positive reviews received for Holland Jachtbouw’s rebuild of the 42m motoryacht Life Saga. “The success of during this 18-month project proved that HJB can compete at the highest end of the refit market as well as build premium superyachts,” explains HJB Managing Director Paul Dielemans. “The lessons learned with Life Saga have been fully incorporated into our operations, adding to the experience gained on previous refits of sailyachts such as Aventura and Kim. “While the HJB Refit Centre has access to the world-class facilities available at the yard, it has a distinctive organisation. With the global fleet of superyachts having passed the 3500 mark and with well over 500 yachts larger than 30 metres currently under construction, the market for rebuilds and refits can only grow. The HJB Refit Centre has capacity for this upcoming winter season starting in September 2009 for a project of up to 65 metres in length. “The Life Saga project confirmed that a rebuild of this magnitude requires a different approach than a new build,” continues Dielemans. “In the course of our work Life Saga’s owner doubled the initial amount of requests. We ended up virtually stripping the interior as well as extending her and adding new propulsion and engineering. Since their change of management in the Spring of 2006 Danish Yacht are forging ahead and are building on their successes to expand different areas of the business.Projects Completed Danish Yacht have recently completed a number of exciting and varied new build projects including six vessels for the Danish Navy, which are to be used for marine environmental surveys, naval exercises and cadet training, a Bluebay 130 fast cruising sailing catamaran and <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/72">Aventura</a> a 33m sailing yacht. The latest craft to be completed in November 2006 was a modern, hi-tech carbon/epoxy open dayboat. This craft featured stunning performance with a 7500hp engine and top speed of 45 knots (80kph). New Order A new order has been confirmed for another 115ft (35m) motor yacht with a similar high grade, personalised specification. Designed by Espen Øino, the boat is to be built and fully equiped at Danish Yacht in Skagen. This new yacht is expected to be delivered in 2 years and guarantees work for the yard’s 75 employees and a further 40 sub-contractors.Explorer Project As a development from the naval vessel build project, Danish Yacht is to start building a semi-custom motor yacht to an owner’s specification for interior and deck layout in Spring 2007. It is intended that the vessel will operate within a 2100 nautical mile range at 12 knots and will be specified with custom systems and different engines.<noscript></noscript>
