The importance of declaring the origin and value of the artwork for tax and customs is incredibly challenging with international artists and works without a clear market price.&nbsp;</li><li>The connection between the artwork and the geographical mobility of the yacht can complicate tax events due to territorial taxation scopes and customs issues, including restrictions on paintings of national interest.</li><li>The necessity of legal assistance in obtaining proper insurance coverage.</li><li>Anti-Money Laundering (AML) considerations in the transfer of artworks.</li><li>The risk of an inadequately trained crew managing and maintaining artworks, particularly with innovative art mediums, could lead to a total loss of value not covered by insurance.</li></ul>To avoid mishaps in housing artworks on yachts, Bellieni suggests, “It's crucial to approach purchases and planning beyond financial and aesthetic considerations, incorporating legal, tax, insurance, and management aspects.” <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/212321/image/large-170d0b1e08e46ab129f8e4df2c229f65.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/212321">Equally, owners “should assemble a specialised team of experts tailored to their specific needs, focusing on the authenticity and legalities of the artwork's purchase and movement. With delivery taking place earlier this year, her owner was looking for a shipyard that could build their superyacht within three years and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> was able to fit the bill thanks to its Limited Editions design and engineering platform. (Company)">Tim Heywood</a>, who comments that “for any designer to have the opportunity to refine and develop an existing design is always a great pleasure.” <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tim Heywood Design Ltd. (Company)">Heywood</a>’s design incorporates his signature forms and well-balanced proportions to create modern classical lines that he describes as “strong, athletic, feminine and sleek.” Basing his design on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/156" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels Limited Editions 21265.7m (215'7&quot;)">Amels 212</a>, a successful predecessor, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tim Heywood Design Ltd. The designers opted for a fresh and spacious feel with soft, natural textures illuminated with custom art-deco lighting as explained by Jim Dixon, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/69" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Winch Design (Company)">Winch Design</a>’s Director, Yachts and Aviation. “A harmonious, refined and Scandinavian influenced design is bought to life with intricate detailing to create an impressively luxurious and fully custom interior.” On the bridge deck, the skylounge functions as the superyacht’s social hub, showing off a big screen and a marble-topped bar. The 1,150-square-metre interior houses the seven luxury guest suites and is perfectly set up to host the entire family and entertaining large groups. Amels superyacht Aurora Borealis launched

The first Amels 220 superyacht Aurora Borealis was launched in Vlissingen, the Netherlands last week and is on course for a delivery in June 2019.

The first Amels 220 superyacht, Project Waka touched the water for the first time inside one of the covered drydocks at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> shipyard over the weekend. Final outfitting will be completed on the 67.1-metre superyacht, who is scheduled to be delivered in summer 2019.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/67505/image/large-6d218d4d82cd5144d1248df5cd35c169.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/67505">Present at the launch were the Amels project team and the owner’s team, including Captain Paul Bickley and Antoine Larricq from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser Yachts</a>, who also represented the owner during the build.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/67498/image/large-ab17703749cb3e832982cb076037fc29.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/67498">“Now we are less than three months from delivery,” Mr Larricq commented during the launch. “Everyone is really impressed how seamless this project has been.
