The 43m Trinity superyacht Waku in Venice, Italy

Superyacht Waku, seen here moored on the San Marco Canal in the heart of Venice, was delivered in 2009 by Trinity Yachts as Big City. The yacht was designed in house by the American shipyard and features a Patrick Knowles Designs interior. The yacht’s vertical bridge windows and Portuguese deck seating area have become trademarks on future Trinity superyachts since the launch of Waku.  She is capable of a maximum speed of over 16 knots and cruises at a modest 14 knots, giving her a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles.

Christian Daves of Denison &amp; Daves has sold the 42.98 metre superyacht Big City. The blue-hulled motor yacht was bought by a client of Carmine Galati of Galati Yacht Sales. Trinity superyacht Big City for sale with Denison & Daves

Launched this summer, and being spotted at popular big cities everywhere, is the 42.97m, all aluminum tri-deck superyacht Big City. She was launched earlier this year from the Trinity Yachts, LLC (Trinity) shipyard in New Orleans, LA. This superyacht, designed and built by Trinity, has classic lines, with a deep blue hull and a complimentary off-white superstructure. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/128079/image/large-651115a5f747fb554bf4a78b2a6c2bbb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/127829">Some design features of Big City include a Portuguese bridge seating area located forward of the vertical windows of the pilot house and the 18- x 28-foot swim platform, quickly becoming a Trinity trademark, is large enough to allow alfresco dining at water level or allow for storage for jet skis. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/128080/image/large-292cc9e0070a984f9d7a562ad3e4d74e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/128080">She is propelled by twin screws, driven by two Caterpillar C32 1,825 hp diesels engines, virtually silenced by her insulated engine room. This superyacht is capable of a maximum speed of over 16 knots and will cruise at modest 14 knots, giving her a cruising range of 4000 nautical miles when the fuel tanks are full. The forward end of the main salon, provides a formal dining area for ten. On the sundeck, accessed via a spiral staircase, there is a double winged radar arch which provides a large shaded area. The sundeck includes a large bar that seats four, a dining area for eight, and a hot tub surrounded by sunbathing area. A tender is located at the rear of the sundeck and is serviced by a davit with a 2,500 lbs. capacity. The décor and furnishings are contemporary, with clean lines. A quiet color palate is expressed with shades of cream, along with light blues, rose and celadon tones. From the aft deck, guests can access a circular stairway to the upper decks, dual stairways to “the beach” (i.e., swim platform), or stroll along the sidedeck, to access the galley. On the upper deck there is a full-width sky lounge that features an HDTV, surround sound, Wii/Xbox and a wet bar with four stools and separate HDTV. On the sun deck there is a larger wet bar. Also located on the sun deck is a gas grill for those impromptu bbq’s underway and a Jacuzzi with water misters so guests don’t overheat while relaxing. Palm Beach Yachts International (PBYI) has announced that its yacht construction division has recently completed the overarching management on behalf of the owner of the 141’ Trinity Big City and has just signed a yacht construction management agreement with an owner to build a 150’ Pendennis S/V; Ron Holland Design serves as architect and interior designer.
