After being sold she was renamed Floridian and her new owner extensively refitted the yacht. One of the biggest changes was the removal of her aft tender bay, where her original owners stored a large sportfisherman. It is now a large covered aft deck, with a helipad above. In 2007 the Sam Sorgiovanni designed superyacht was sold again and renamed <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266">Nomad</a>. Photo by Maarten Janssen

When launched, she looked very different from today. Originally she carried a large sport fisherman on the main aft deck, but after she was sold to her second owner, who renamed her Floridian, the large open tender deck was replaced with a helicopter platform. Oceanfast’s 69 metre superyacht Nomad

Ocean Independence yacht broker Marco Vandoni has just announced that his central agency for sale Nomad has been sold. The European Client visited Nomad just as the final horns were being blasted to signal the end of the 2009 Monaco Yacht show. The client was introduced to Marco Vandoni by Philippe Mahot of Navigator who then left all negotiations in OCI’s competent hands. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/130610/image/large-38c43f80b804bc51ee503aa2ac60fa2a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/130610"><a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266">Nomad</a> was built in Australia by the Oceanfast shipyard in 2003 as Aussie Rules for a well known Golf personality. Before being renamed <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266">Nomad</a>, the luxury yacht was owned by a well known American yachtsman who had named her Floridian and added a helipad on the upper aft deck. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266">Nomad</a> sleeps 12 guests in 1 master, 3 double and 1 twin cabin and accommodates 15 crew members. He sold her to an American yachtsman who renamed the yacht Floridian. Originally a large sport fisherman was docked at the main aft deck, but her new owner added a large helicopter platform at the upper deck, above the main aft deck. Floridian anchored off Cap d’Antibes

Ocean Independence completed the sales of an incredible 8 yachts in a 14 day period at the end of July/early August, five of which were to direct clients.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123087/image/large-2fd9a77930374206ffc25eda7801d2b8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123087"> Topping the bill was the magnificent 70m Oceanfast MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Floridian</a> (photo). Delivered in 2003 and refitted with a new helicopter landing pad in 2004/5 this full displacement yacht accommodates 12 guests and 14 crew. A testament to the synergy of the 10-office strong network of brokers and managers, this sale was a team effort, with OCI Monaco’s Marco Vandoni acting on a company referral to broker the deal on the purchasing client’s behalf.The success continued with the completion of the 32m 2005 Sunseeker Predator MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/391" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">San Miguel</a> brokered jointly by Geneva based Bjørn Vang-Mathisen and Eric Trupheme from Antibes, the 29m 2001 Dragos MV Megawatt through Palma’s Jim Acher and the 29m 1995 Hakvoort MY Lady Libra sold by Palma’s Marc Händle. Jim Acher also completed the sale of the 19m 2002 SY Wallyño for his direct client with Marco Vandoni acting for the Seller.Three OCI central agency yachts were also sold: 35m 1991 Oceanco MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/153" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Findings</a> (Peter Hürzeler – Zürich), SY White Garuda a 23m 1981 Jongert (Marc Händle – Palma) and MY Nilo a 21m 2001 Ferretti (Peter Hürzeler and Eric Trupheme – Antibes).The Swiss-based Management division of Ocean Independence, Ocean Management, is also very proud to announce the addition of three new yachts to their growing fleet of vessels under operational management; 49m MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/201" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Anedigmi</a> (ex Altavida), 70m MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Floridian</a> and 49m MY <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/844" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Iman</a>.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123088/image/large-1a4e7e60b6548c1e57b286fcf6e311cf.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123088"> Last but not least, the OCI charter brokers have been very busy, signing five new CAs for charter: Monaco’s Janine Hall is responsible for three of these, signing 23m MV Tinkerbell B, 19m MV Sirius of Leeds and 29m MV Megawatt. Palma based charter broker Barbara Müller has also signed two new CA’s, the striking classic 33m SV <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1643" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Sintra</a>, and 25m MV Newflash, highly sought after as she is legal for charter in Spanish waters. Ocean Independence sells 8 yachts in 14 days

International Yacht Collection, an international brokerage company with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Newport, Palm Beach, Sint Maarten, Nassau and Monaco, sold several yachts, including Trinity’s new 49m <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/116">Imagine</a>. <img src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123073/image/large-91d56724e56d596ab1ec25f7e888e7a8.jpg" alt="" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123073"> Mark Elliott reports that his central <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/266">Floridian</a> (photo), the 228ft Oceanfast, was sold following a very successful charter season. Bob McKeage announces the sale of the <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/1343">Westport 130</a> <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1555">Crystal Sea</a> and the joint central of Jim McConville and Jim Eden Savoir-Faire, a Westship 112 was sold as well. One of the biggest achievements so far in the Monaco office is the recent sale of the new 49m Trinity <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/116">Imagine</a>. She was sold by Kevin Bonnie and will be renamed <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/116">Indago</a>.
