Following the recent launch of its latest 42-metre full-custom motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7090" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Crowbridge42.0m (137'10&quot;)Cantiere delle Marche (CdM)2020">Crowbridge&nbsp;</a>in June, the Ancona-based shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) (Company)">Cantiere delle Marche</a> has revealed its latest semi-custom superyacht design: the EXP42 concept. The EXP42 aims to provide the ideal balance between onboard comfort and technical reliability in her design, in order to take on the roughest of seas and be capable of venturing to the remotest of locations. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/167921/image/large-7206739103cbdde26f634c67429de570.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/167921">Devised alongside repeat collaborator <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/586" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Francesco Paszkowski (Company)">Francesco Paszkowski</a> as part of a new semi-custom range from the yard (<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/586" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Francesco Paszkowski (Company)">Paszkowski</a> previously worked alongside the Italian yard on its MG line, of which three yachts have been sold and of which the MG 129 is due to be launched soon), this aims to meet the 'needs and expectations'&nbsp;of a 'vast and demanding clientele,' according to the builder. The EXP line will comprise of models between 310-499 GT, including approximately 460 GT for the 42.58-metre EXP 42.&nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/167923/image/large-0538f284826c121ff56712111c7943ee.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/167923">The EXP 42 concept has a displacement steel hull and light aluminium superstructure, with the design aiming to be a bold, imposing explorer vessel, whilst still displaying elegant lines. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/586" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Francesco Paszkowski (Company)">Paszkowski's&nbsp;</a>exterior deck spaces are grand, aiming to offer guests maximum privacy for outdoor relaxation whilst still maintaining a feeling of openness and uninterrupted living. The vessel's interior can be customised to a high degree, according to the tastes of each owner.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/167918/image/large-76317b902387a2fec83b18ab2f96386a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/167918"> Layout options include a six-cabin version designed with charter in mind, in which all guest staterooms are the same approximate size and in which the large and functional galley is found on the lower deck. The interior layout can be offered in various configurations, with either a salon and dining area located on the main deck or with a smaller salon on the main deck and the dining area on the upper deck. A bright and open space, the upper saloon is described as a "bright and airy veranda wrapped in glass surfaces" which enables the continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces and enhances the owner's connection to the sea. This quality is continued within the main saloon, thanks to the presence of oversized windows.In addition, tenders and jet skis are located on the main deck forward but can be also stored on the upper deck stern terrace. In this latter configuration, a crane is hidden in a purposely designed carter on the sundeck to keep it out of sight once the tender has been launched. A large lazarette is available to host a variety of leisure/gym equipment and can be used according to the wishes of the vessel's owner. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/167930/image/large-7617c7d34ffe6b07b8d5bc374dba75a8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/167930">In terms of performance, twin Caterpillar C32 Acert and 60000-litre fuel tanks would allow the EXP42 to reach a top speed of 14 knots, with a range of 5000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

CdM unveils new EXP42 explorer superyacht concept 

Cantiere delle Marche announced the sale of the largest Darwin-series (34-metre) superyacht built to date, set to be delivered to a return customer. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/43791/image/large-744aad646c281de2e416089f74585479.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/43791">Having crossed the Atlantic three times and logged over 40,000 nautical miles in his previous Darwin, the owner has requested the 112 series so that he can continue yachting in uncharted waters.&nbsp;“We are very glad that this experienced Owner decided to entrust us to build his second Darwin and proud for the confidence he has placed in our team,” says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and sales and Marketing Director at CdM. “We will do our best to fulfil his expectations!”Nauta designers Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino consulted on the interiors while the exterior and naval architecture are the work of Sergio Cutolo’s design firm, Hydro-Tec.&nbsp;The sale of the Darwin 112, named Alma, was released in tandem with the Italian yard’s <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/48958" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Record number of superyachts under contract at CdM (2018-09-04 13:00:00 +0200)">construction book</a> - which includes other projects such as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/48459" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cantiere delle Marche to build 40m superyacht Aurelia 29 (2018-05-03 09:30:00 +0200)">Aurelia 29</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/48563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="CdM signs build contract for new 40m explorer superyacht MG 129 (2018-05-25 11:30:00 +0200)">Project MG 129</a>, and Explorer 40.22.

Custom CdM Darwin 112 sold

Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has announced a record number of projects in their construction book. With ten projects currently under contract measuring between 31 and 43 metres, together they measure a total length of 368 metres.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/678/image/large-3025ddc033645e1cd0335e1f7fddf3b7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/678">&nbsp;"Thanks to them and to our committed and passionate management, Cantiere delle Marche has a solid double-digit growth and its production is growing in both figures and quality,"&nbsp;says Gabriele Virgili, Cantiere delle Marche's chairman and majority shareholder.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/35393/image/large-1d6b6a918def1fffe47bcadb4fbd55bb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/35393">The company already delivered the 32-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6157" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Gatto 32.0m (104'12&quot;)">Gatto</a> earlier this year and is set to deliver two more yachts later this year; &nbsp;the Nauta Air 110' Mimi La Sardine and the Darwin 102' Tenggiri. All four superyachts measure between 39 and 40 metres and include three projects that were unveiled earlier this year. One is the 39.5m Spadolini designed explorer yacht project CP, another the 40m project MG 129 and lastly the 40m flexplorer project Aurelia. &nbsp;A new project on the list is the Acala 2, which is a 39-metre one-off project. No further details have been unveiled about this project yet, however, it is safe to assume she will be a new yacht for the owner of the 31m CDM <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5644" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Acala31.09m (102'0&quot;)">Acala</a>.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/43829/image/large-71c5edb67c0b2bc74811d0ff407d8362.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/43829">The Italian company has two new projects set to launch in 2021, both Darwin class projects. A new 40-metre displacement superyacht has been sold by Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) in conjunction with Camper &amp; Nicholsons to be known as project&nbsp;MG 129 during its build at the Italian shipyard.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/35785/image/large-406986fff87720300b94c464eb6d0124.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/35785">CdM has worked with Francesco Paszkowksi on the exterior and interior design of MG 129&nbsp;while Hydro Tec was once again brought in for their naval architecture experience. To be built from steel and aluminium, the full displacement vessel was commissioned by a North European owner.“It is a great pleasure to work with an owner who was keen to bring his experience to CdM,”&nbsp;says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and Sales and Marketing Director at Cantiere delle Marche. “By deciding to have his new yacht built by CdM he offered a serious statement of trust in our yard's reliability and construction quality.”Little is known about the project’s exact features, but in true CdM fashion, MG 129 will be equipped to explore the globe without restrictions on her own bottom. The yacht comes with an impressive cruising range of 5,55 nm while cruising at 9 knots and will be able to reach a top speed of 14.5 knots.&nbsp;Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer of Camper &amp; Nicholsons says: “It has been a great experience to represent an experienced yacht owner with a clear vision of his next yacht and at the same time having the CdM team with a very professional and client-oriented approach, always able to translate such a vision.”
