This feature also seamlessly connects all of her decks.&nbsp;The outdoor spaces of Project Future include organic furnishings, characterised by modern round and curved shapes combined with warm wood for a glamorous but substantial elegance. Inside, her <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/19" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alberto Pinto (Company)">Alberto Pinto</a>-designed interiors are characterised by pale, soft furnishings, high-gloss lacquer furniture and stainless steel accents. Standout features on board motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4385" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Okto66.4m (217'10&quot;)ISA Yachts2014">Okto</a> include a large swimming pool on the main deck, a jacuzzi, a private balcony, and a mirrored staircase linking her three decks. When I was a teenager, I continued to enjoy my visits there, breathing the air, the smells, looking the workers straight in the eyes and feeling the passion in their work. When I was growing up I wanted to follow in my father's footsteps. I have managers with great experience on each of our five production sites in Ancona, Savona, Naples, Malta and Marseille, as well as a representative office in Antibes. Every week I try to visit the shipyards to see the new yachts under construction or refit. I like getting into the technical aspects and I confess that my greatest passion is product development and technological innovation.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/197831/image/large-089ce3b223333f9c77072c4704101624.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/197831">As a family we have always dealt with refit and maintenance of commercial, cruise and cargo vessels, but in 2008 we decided to invest in yachting by making our first 54-metre superyacht under the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6173" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Columbus Yachts (Company)">Columbus</a> brand. Then we grew by acquisition, first with the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/201" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ISA Yachts (Company)">ISA Yachts</a> shipyard and then with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/72" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mondomarine SpA (Company)">Mondomarine</a>. The latest addition to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1757" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Palumbo Superyachts (Company)">Palumbo Superyachts</a> is <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5574" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Extra Yachts (Company)">EXTRA</a>, an innovative brand both in terms of exterior design and volume optimisation. I prefer to let the accomplished results and the facts demonstrate what we are able to achieve both in terms of new constructions and repairs.From the establishment of&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1757" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Palumbo Superyachts (Company)">Palumbo Superyachts</a>, how has your vision for the company changed?My long-term view has never changed. I believe it is important to always maintain high construction standards by using quality materials and skilled labour. It is crucial to keep up with new technologies and check their application for the yachting industry. Could you tell me about the establishment of the refit brand? How does refit and maintenance fit into the vision of the Palumbo group?Refit and maintenance are our bread and butter. We started with this in the early 1950s as a family. It is an integral part of our daily work and the market acknowledges our dominant position in the Mediterranean, where we have five shipyards with state-of-the-art equipment and specialised workforce. We operate on boats up to 120-metres and we always complete our projects to "turnkey" condition and free of surprises.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/197828/image/large-e2a7355dbe76ba0d37aff5ca57f0b13e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/197828">We carry out a variety of jobs such as the complete repainting of hulls and superstructures, carpentry, interior refit, conversion, installation of hydrojet systems, just to name a few.<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5775" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Palumbo SY Refit (Company)">Palumbo SY Refit</a>&nbsp;has been busy with its expansion into Central America and the Caribbean, as well as a new office in Antibes. Why have you chosen these locations?Last fall, with the aim of having an increasingly widespread network and guaranteeing our customers would be reached and provided with the highest level of quality service everywhere, we opened a new Service Point in Central America and Caribbean. From January 2021, we have a new office in Antibes, France, which has been established as our new headquarters. Our facilities range between 22,000 square-metres to 45,000 square-metres, equipped with covered drydocks, travel lifts up to 820 tons, 3,300 ton ship lifts, painting sheds, moorings, yards for on-the-hard jobs, cranes, with many other features to complete projects of any scale. We have on site Project Managers and designers as well as specialised workshops such as joinery, carpentry, upholstery and warehouses at each yard. All of this makes a considerable difference in providing clients with a comprehensive and personal experience.Could you tell me more about some of the recent refit projects that have been completed at&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5775" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Palumbo SY Refit (Company)">Palumbo SY Refit</a>&nbsp;such as the 116-metre motor yacht&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/909" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Atlantis II115.82m (379'12&quot;)Hellenic Shipyards S.A.1981">Atlantis II</a>&nbsp;and the 15-year Class Survey on the 73-metre superyacht&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/590" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Titania71.0m (232'11&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2006">Titania</a>?Over the past year and a half we have worked on several important projects. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/909" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Atlantis II115.82m (379'12&quot;)Hellenic Shipyards S.A.1981">Atlantis II</a>has just sailed from Malta to start the season, after receiving routine maintenance as well as restoration and optimisation of her structures. Specifically, some of the process involved the replacement of the 60-metre steel plates on both sides of the superyacht as well as the construction and replacement of a new swimming pool platform. Additionally, our team worked on arranging anchors and cables, lining two anchor pockets, removing the bow thruster and both shaft and propellers, cleaning six ballast tanks, completely renewing the chain locker, replacing the existing exhaust pipe and repairing the air ducts in the FRW area.&nbsp; <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/197733/image/large-c4738c92faba5b9290feceb2e069570f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/197733">During her visit to our Marseille facilities, the 73-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/590" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Titania71.0m (232'11&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2006">Titania</a> completed her 15-year Class Survey. The project was completed under a strict deadline and our team’s capabilities were proven, completing the laborious task in under two months, in compliance with the strict rules established by Lloyd's. These are just two examples of superyachts that we’ve recently had in our yard. Having great knowledge of hybrid propulsion allows us to operate on conversions and maintenance on all kinds of vessels. Recent projects have provided us with insight into the latest ‘green’ propulsion systems. We were chosen as the main partner for the installation of a hydrogen propulsion system for the first boat we launched last May at our Marseille shipyard. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Tender/10473" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Hynova 4012.19m (39'12&quot;)Hynova Yachts2020 Tender">HYNOVA 40</a> is the first pleasure boat equipped with REXH2 (Range Extender Hydrogen), a silent and zero-emission hydrogen-electric hybrid technology. From humble beginnings as a small family joinery business founded in 1950, the Austrian General Contractor has continued to expand and have made their way into the superyacht industry. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5122" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="List General Contractor GmbH (Company)">List General Contractor (List GC)</a> has remained a family business and is now in the hands of the third generation of the List family. Having just opened a new manufacturing plant in Bad Erlach, south of Vienna, the company now operates on over 14,000 square metres and is moving from strength to strength.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/52979/image/large-525f599a88d18ba5d422a15ee5f03080.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/52979">Before moving into the marine industry, List GC created interiors of luxury residences and hotel projects. Hungry for more, the company began working on cruise ship interiors in the mid-1990s. By 2000, List GC had transferred its attention to superyachts. With the majority of their furnishings made using wood, they can be coated with veneers, high gloss lacquer, fabric, leather or gold leaf. Precious materials such as gold, marble, mother of pearl or finishes such as marquetry can be used to accentuate special accents on furniture creations. The 66m superyacht Okto outside Monaco

As the last yacht to have been delivered by ISA Yachts in 2015, Okto was the final attempt by the Italian yachting brand to prove what they are capable of. They certainly didn’t disappoint and the results of working with experienced designers Andrea Vallicelli and the late Alberto Pinto is an eye-catching masterpiece of modern technology, dynamic exterior features, and an opulent interior style. Built for an experienced owner, Okto is the shipyard’s largest yacht completed to date under their Granturismo line. Shortly after the delivery of Okto, ISA Yachts filed for 'concordato preventivo', a procedure that is somewhat similar to Chapter 11 in the US. Since then, Palumbo Group have successfully acquired the shipyard who intends to continue production of superyachts under the ISA Yachts brand name.

One of the coolest yachts delivered this year, and one of the latest additions to the superyacht sales fleet has to be the 107-metre Ulysses. Custom built by Norwegian shipyard Kleven for an experienced yachtsman, Ulysses has been making headlines with her utilitarian exterior and world-cruising capabilities. Designed by an all-star team, Ulysses offers the best of the worlds of exploration and luxury. Okto

Developed together with her experienced owner, Okto is dripping with the latest technology and innovations and can be regarded as the ‘Transformer of the seas’.

Panakeia

The 45.8 metre Panakeia was built by Astondoa in 2008 as Amaranta P. The exterior lines of the luxury motor yacht were designed by the shipyard itself and she features an interior by Cristiano Gatto. The steel hulled displacement motor yacht is powered by twin 2,038hp MTU 16V 4000 M61R diesel engines, which enable her to achieve a top speed of 16 knots, cruising speed of 13 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles.

Panakeia will be on display in Monaco through Ocean Independence, and is offered for sale at €15,500,000.

Athena

The longest yacht on display in Monaco this year will be the 90 metre sailing yacht Athena. As one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, Athena was custom built by Royal Huisman in 2004 to a design by the late Pieter Beeldsnijder.

Athena is listed for sale through Burgess at $69,000,000.

So’Mar

Launched by the Turkish shipyard Tansu Yachts in 2014 is the 37.6 metre superyacht So’Mar. Constructed with a wooden hull and superstructure, she features naval architecture by the renowned studio Diana Yacht Design, whilst her interior and exterior design was undertaken in-house by the shipyard. Accommodation is provided for up to eight guests in total, and one of the vessels most notable features is the exclusive owner’s deck located on the upper aft - a feature which is usually reserved for much larger yachts.

So’Mar will be on display through Y.CO in Monaco this year.

Suerte

Delivered just ahead of the 2015 Monaco yacht Show, the 69 metre Suerte was built by the Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts, featuring naval architecture by Ruggiero, whilst the renowned Francesco Paszkowski undertook her exterior design. Suerte comprises of 1,400 Gross Tons and is constructed with a high tensile steel fore section.

Delivered in 2010, the Dutch built superyacht was designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon with an interior Studio Linse. Icon offers a bright and spacious interior and accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, and has an excellent charter record. The yacht was lengthened by five metres and today measures 68 metres. The refit, which took just six months, has created a larger main aft deck, a larger beach club, and created space for a 5-metre long infinity swimming pool, which features glass elements to the front and stern above the transom, and large lounging areas either side.

Asking €56,500,000, Icon is for sale through Camper &amp; Nicholsons.

Oceana

Following her acquisition in May last year, the 1991-built Oceanfast superyacht Oceana is now back on the market, ready to be passed on to a value-seeking and passionate superyacht owner. Previously known as Obsession, Oceana is the result of a fantastic Jon Bannenberg design, beautifully executed by the Australian shipyard. Her Aileen Rodriguez interior is a bright and comfortable affair with light woods, white lacquered surfaces and soothing veneers making these spaces feel very airy and spacious.

Oceana is jointly listed for sale through Edmiston and Burgess in Monaco this year, offered at €8,900,000.

Martha Ann

The 70-metre superyacht Martha Ann shares a very similar exterior design with sisters Titania and Saint Nicolas, all of whom were ordered by the same client from the German shipyard. All three vessels’ designs are the work of Espen Oeino, with each featuring an extraordinary volume for its size. Martha Ann can comfortably accommodate 12 guests over six staterooms, looked after by her crew of 20. Her classic Zuretti interior is exquisite. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, this Lürssen superyacht has a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nm.

What’s for sale in Monaco this year?

The 66.40 metre Okto was the last yacht to be delivered by ISA Yachts in 2015. Okto, which is designed by Andrea Vallicelli, features interior design by the late Alberto Pinto. She can accommodate 12 guests in total and 17 crew. There may be light on the horizon for the 104 remaining ISA employees, however, and according to reports from a regional Italian publication, Frittelli Maritime Group has shown an interest in the acquisition of the ISA shipyard. First reported last summer, the future of ISA Yachts has been uncertain for some time. Despite launching a total of four superyachts in 2014 (Okto, Silver Wind, Forever One and Philmi), the Italian shipyard has failed to sign any new contracts since mid-2014, and are speculated to be in approximately €40,000,000 worth of debt.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157747/image/large-feb396a578a7f3be6f11990ed00acb37.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157668">The business is currently under Chapter 11 procedure, with subsidies for the company’s employees expiring at the end of the month. There may be light on the horizon for the 104 remaining ISA employees, however, and according to reports from a regional Italian publication, Frittelli Maritime Group has shown an interest in the acquisition of the ISA shipyard. The Group’s owner Alberto Rossi is currently carrying out a thorough due diligence process.If Rossi decides to proceed with the acquisition, the final decision will ultimately depend upon the decision of the court and the concession of the yard. Instead of utilizing high-maintenance natural teak, a light-coloured composite Esthec deck has been opted for. It is the pattern that the deck strips are laid in that makes this so special. Wide strips amidships gradually narrow in width outboard whilst the dividing sections of black caulking increases, creating an almost rhythmic sequence that adds another dimension to the exterior spaces. This deck also opens up to reveal one of the yacht’s tenders, a 6.6 metre Ski Nautique, and another MOB RIB, designed to be launched within minutes. The same level of luxury, style and functionality would be incorporated into <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4385" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Okto66.4m (217'10&quot;)ISA Yachts2014">Okto</a>, only in a condensed package.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157678/image/large-bd754d8f2b3a306569bc27c4a0ca6d06.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157678">He realised the lack of noise and vibration throughout the yacht would be key to receiving the owner’s stamp of approval and to ensure the comfort of every guest on board. The results not only ended with a satisfied owner, but benchmarks being raised for yachts in this class.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157679/image/large-6b3238d6743f5ec53e4af1fde43f76cc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157679">The design of the main deck was also of great importance to the Pinto team, who set out to re-engineer how guests would use this space that is so often underused. A grand atmosphere is created by the use of polished and brushed metals, high lacquered surfaces and lavish upholstered furniture. The natural light flooding in through the expansive windows at the entrance from main deck aft and those running along the side of the lounge area, allowed Pinto to confidently make use of dark woods as panelling without the risk of creating a dark room environment. A natural satin finished wood floor adds a light touch to the otherwise high-class living environment.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157680/image/large-be053ca206eaf39280d5c4e7ffe54cdb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157680"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157681/image/large-173f913495583b13408f423c6d1bbaeb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157681">Forward on the main deck, the full beam master suite offers no side portholes as one would normally find in this cabin arrangement, but instead a series of large skylights in the deckhead above are the source of natural light to the cabin, which can be shut completely when bedtime comes (or left open to experience the starry night sky). Fitted with a private study and a set of full height windows in the hull, this could easily be appointed as the VIP cabin. TEAM Italia attended the Monaco Yacht Show, where the company exhibited innovative technologies developed by its in-house R&amp;D department. Featuring a new design and even more functions, the new I-Bridge Futura Nextgen was well received by captains and owners. Several superyachts that feature TEAM Italia’s innovations and was also present at the show.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150967/image/large-5649582501072c8a2deb102bcd519d95.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150967">The first is the 46 metre Baglietto displacement superyacht that was launched earlier this year. The shipyard chose the TEAM Italia system for the vessel, and the project provided for installation of a completely customised, built-in I-Bridge system produced following the specific requests of the shipyard, captain and Owner. The console features 5 displays, 3 touchscreen workstations and 2 multifunctional joysticks.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150968/image/large-75a9381bbedb8d4d2e9a05b77c71665e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150968">Rossinavi’s second Prince Shark superyacht, Polaris, arrived around a year after her sistership. The I-Bridge system has been installed on the 49 metre all aluminium semi-displacement hull yacht, and a special concept and ergonomic solution was successfully applied.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150969/image/large-12d933547d56373d065b082eafe4ae3d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150969">Other yachts on display at the show featuring the work of TEAM Italia includes ISA Yachts 42.67 metre Silver Wind, and 66 metre Okto. Both yachts feature a built-in customised I-Bridge system produced by matching the requirements put forward by the shipyard with those of captains and owners.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150970/image/large-6b99271c010e7514ae92e1ea5e20a3b0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150970">Benetti has been working with TEAM Italia for several years, and 2014 saw the two companies work on a number of projects together. Benetti Illusion I and Benetti FB 258 were also on display in Monaco in addition to Mister Z, which features the high technology I-Bridge Multi-Touch system, as well as a multi conning system display for navigation and a steering conning system for all the activities related to navigation. An AWS (Anchor Watching System) is also installed to guarantee a complete monitoring of the boat when it is at anchor. ISA Yachts has confirmed that Superyacht Okto has been delivered to her Owners. The 66.40-metre vessel is designed by Andrea Vallicelli, while the interior design is by late Alberto Pinto. ISA's 66 metre Granturismo now named Okto

On May 3rd 2014 ISA Yachts launched the ISA 66 metre Granturismo, a custom four deck superyacht designed to emphasise the outdoor experience of a yacht without compromising the space and comfort expected from a steel and aluminium displacement vessel.ISA 66m Granturismo is designed by Andrea Vallicelli, with the interior by Alberto Pinto. The hull shape and bow are optimised for both efficiency and comfort, whilst the sleek interior has been subcontracted to the renowned Austrian company, List General Contractor GmbH.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148435/image/large-d965729ba5e83ae85402cd27b0cb8eda.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148435">The naval architecture is developed in-house by ISA Technical Department in conjunction with BMT Nigel Gee naval architects. Sneak preview: ISA ready to launch the 66m Project H

In January I visited the Italian shipyard ISA Yachts in Ancona. The yard signed three new contracts between mid-2011 and early 2012, and I had the opportunity to tour two of these projects, the ISA 41m Classic and the 66m Granturismo. I also toured the yard's large refit facility.ISA 41m Classic The first yacht I visited was the ISA 41m Classic, which has been developed from the 39 metre platform, which the company introduced in the Summer of 2009. Designed by Andrea Vallicelli, the motor yacht was ordered by a repeat client of ISA Yachts and is slated for delivery in the Summer of 2013. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/142744/image/large-4dc12a3bc94e53763d39f0281e67a5b1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/138072">The steel/aluminium displacement superyacht will be powered by twin Caterpillar C18 diesel engines, which provide a max speed of 14 knots. During my visit, the 47 metre Heesen superyacht <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/277">Yalla</a> was inside, for a refit. The marina offers winter berthing, and on-land storage to a large number of superyachts. When I visited the yard, there were several ISA yachts at the marina, including <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3563">Papi Du Papi</a>, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1138">Midnight Sun II</a>, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2244">Liberty</a> and <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1215">Alexandar V</a>. Last week the Italian shipyard ISA Yachts announced they had signed three new contracts between mid-2011 and early 2011. The first two superyachts, the ISA 41m Classic and the 66m Granturismo, were signed in 2011, whilst the 54 metre project Panorama was signed in early 2012 with Fernando Nicholson of Camper &amp; Nicholsons International introducing the buyer. ISA 41m Classic The smallest of the three new orders is the ISA 41m Classic, which has been developed from the 39m platform, which the company introduced in the Summer of 2009. The ISA 66 GT will be delivered in the early Summer of 2014. ISA 54m Project Panorama Project Panorama is a fully custom motor yacht designed by Horacio Bozzo with interior design by Studio Massari. The 54 metre superyacht has an unusual lay-out with a formal dining area and a saloon forward on the main deck. Thanks to large hull windows the rooms are filled with natural light. Aft on the main deck is another saloon with full height doors that open into exterior foldable bulwarks for unobstructed views over the ocean. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/138074/image/large-54e02b1a0605b9376102b01e8b9ef7df.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/138074">There are plenty of relaxation options on-board Project Panorama as well, with a large pool, large dining table, bar and sunpads on the sundeck and a spacious beach club with foldable stern and side platforms. All decks, including the sundeck, will be connected by a glass elevator. The main garage, which houses a 8.3 metre Riva Iseo tender and a 5.5 metre crew tender, is situated forward on the main deck. Project Panorama will cruise at 14.5 knots and she will have a trans-pacific range. Delivery of the 54 metre superyacht is scheduled for the Summer of 2014.
