Benetti Mediterraneo 116 yacht general arrangement 

During the final few days of 2018, Benetti launched the fourth unit in its growing Mediterraneo 116 line of composite superyachts when the 35.5-metre Good Day took to the waters of Viareggio for the first time. Benetti currently has four additional units in the Mediterraneo 116 range under various stages of construction, set to be completed within the next two years.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/58590/image/large-1bdb4a2bc22a42f18cd351a986e4d10b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58590">Once again, Benetti worked with designer Giorgio Cassetta on the exterior design of the project while the shipyard’s own Interior Style Apartment was tasked with realising the owner’s vision for the custom guest areas inside the yacht.&nbsp;Good Day will be able to accommodate up to 10 guests in a full-beam master suite and four guest staterooms on the lower deck. An elevator (that covers all interior guests decks) takes you to the upper deck where the wheelhouse is located as well as a dedicated Karaoke room and adjacent wine cellar. Benetti launches 36m motor yacht Good Day

Benetti has handed over the latest addition to their displacement range of superyachts earlier this month, the 35.5m <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6101" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oli35.5m (116'6&quot;)">Oli</a>. Hull number one of the new Mediterraneo 116 line, which was first unveiled during the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival, is now cruising the Mediterranean and is ready to be officially premiered in two weeks’ time during this year’s Cannes boat show.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/161703/image/large-d87c7999d456a6708e4c218ee4650a35.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/161703">The 35.5-metre yacht, designed by Giorgio Cassetta, is characterised by a slender profile while still offering guests generous indoor and outdoor spaces, spread across three decks. Benetti’s advances in the use of glass on board their custom superyachts have trickled down into this segment of their fleet and can be best appreciated from inside the main saloon onboard the 116. Here, three-metre-tall glass sides create a luminous environment inside – a theme that is very apparent throughout the entire yacht.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/161704/image/large-aa69c12c8fb0b9c2b1dc22399c02430b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/161704">Keeping to their trusted layout, Benetti has placed the owner’s suite forward on the main deck, while the eight additional guests will retire in comfort to their cabins awaiting below deck. The sun deck outside is completely customisable to suit each client’s usage needs.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/161705/image/large-1a254dcf0d562387037b0823cc39b67b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/161705">The Mediterraneo 116’s twin Man 1,400 hp engines deliver a top speed of 15 knots and at an economical speed of 10 knots, she will reach 3,000 nautical miles.

Benetti delivers first Mediterraneo 116 superyacht

Benetti has today unveiled a new model for their Displacement Class range at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which is currently in the third day of the event. The 35.4 metre Benetti 116’ Mediterraneo displays a new road in styling for the Italian shipyard, and boasts generous living spaces both inside and out.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156056/image/large-62f6fc1878e40ca21fd152c36ba2c8ca.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156056">She accommodates up to 10 guests on board over five generous staterooms, including a full beam owner’s suite, a space which is emphasised by the frameless picture windows that start at 70cm from the deck with full height glass on both sides. In keeping with Benetti standards, the lower deck has a classic layout: four en suite twin cabins - two of which are VIP - and two twin cabins with identical berths.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156057/image/large-af970577d54b5157b8bf47089e1aedd7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156057">Outside, a fundamental element of the Mediterraneo upper deck is the capacious open area on the foredeck. The standard layout foresees a swimming pool, but is completely customisable dependent on the owner’s wishes. Forward is the large bridge, while astern is the sky lounge, a rectangular salon with a 5 metre transparent opening facing the cockpit. The sun deck measures a total of 80 square metres for guests to enjoy.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156058/image/large-388371741f643fc2427c13a558a03259.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156058">In regards to her performance, the 116’ is powered by twin MAN V12-1400 engines, providing her with a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a range of 3,000 nm.Fabio Ermetto, CCO at Benetti states that “the 116' completes the Gamma Class range while at the same time introduces renewal and modernising influences to the lines of a few of our most successful models.” Ermetto also went on to confirm that a contract has already been signed for hull number one of the 116 Mediterraneo, with hull number two currently under construction.By Gemma Fottles
