Portofino Regate di Primavera 2023 is an invitation-only sailing event filled with some of the best-known Italian boat manufacturers. As one of Perini Navi’s first all-aluminium yachts in their successful 56-metre range, the 2009-built Panthalassa was designed to handle well out on the race course as well as offer impressive volumes of luxury space to her guests. Her phenomenal interior by Lord Norman Foster is one of the many features that set her apart from her other Perini sisters, and is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests and 10 crew members. She was spotted in the Croatian town of Split yesterday.

Few sailing yachts can keep up with the impressive track record that the 56 metre Panthalassa can boast about. From fully booked charter seasons to achieving results on the regatta scene; this 2009 built beauty certainly deserves a closer look.

As one of Perini Navi’s first all-aluminium yachts in their successful 56 metre range, Panthalassa can offer her guests not only incredibly spacious areas on boards, but do so with a touch of performance and no small amount of comfort at sea. Her ketch rig makes for easy manoeuvring, suited to relaxed island cruising as well as more intense regatta racing.

An impressive feature on deck is the abundance of outdoor social areas on board Panthalassa. Exterior lounges, sunbathing and dining areas means that guests are able to experience the thrills and freedom of sailing in absolute comfort. Guests can choose to soak up the sun and enjoy the stunning panoramic views from the flybridge above, or a calmer setting for unwinding below in the man cockpit.

The phenomenal interior by Lord Norman Foster achieves a balance of light, structure and comfort. Inspired by lighthouse design, natural light is filtered through the use of skylights in the deck above, and a floating bar in the main salon defies gravity.

Panthalassa comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests, making her ideally suited to large groups of friends or family gatherings. The six cabins below of near equal size are tastefully decorated with rich materials such as leather and silk. On stand by are 10 professional crew members to ensure each guest has a memorable experience on board.

The fun doesn’t stop when Panthalassa does however. Once anchored, a selection of watersport toys are available for those seeking some adventure. On offer are jet ski’s, SeaBobs, water-skis and two 6.2 metre tenders.

The yacht is for charter through <a href="http://y.co/" target="_blank">Y.CO </a>and is in the currently available in the Caribbean where she will remain until late April. Charter rates start at USD 225,000 p/week.

Sailing yacht of the Month: The 56 metre Panthlassa

Sunshine and a light but stable breeze accompanied the final and decisive race of the fifth edition of the Perini Navi Cup. The event, organized biennially by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and reserved for yachts from the prestigious Italian Perini Navi shipyard, saw victory go to the 50-metre Silencio. Second place went to the 38-metre performance cruising sloop P2 while the 53-metre Parsifal IV claimed the final spot on the podium.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145561/image/large-74961215d4ba7ebdbe32718f091ccf1e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145503">Silencio‘s owner was understandably delighted with the result of his first participation in the Cup: “We’ve got an amazing crew, an amazing spirit on board, thanks to the captain and the tactician Dawn Riley and all the crew we did a great job, but above all we had a lot of fun. Six months ago we had never raced and we were unlucky at the Bucket but now you are going to start hearing more about Silencio. The Perini Navi Group presents the fifth edition of the Perini Navi Cup The Perini fleet will meet from August 28th to 31st in Porto Cervo This year will see the fifth edition of the regatta reserved for the sailing yachts built by the Perini Navi Group. Dates for the 2013 Perini Navi Cup announced

Twenty-one sailing superyachts and six motor yachts have already registered for the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta &amp; Rendezvous taking place in Virgin Gorda (BVI) from 20th to 23rd March, hosted by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and BIM. Superyacht Panthalassa joins Y.CO charter fleet

The 56-metre Panthalassa claimed victory on saturday in the second race of the Perini Navi Cup 2011 and now sits in third place overall behind Parsifal III in second place and The Maltese Falcon in first. Organized by the Yacht Costa Smeralda from 1st to 4th September, the event sees 13 spectacular sailing yachts from the renowned Perini Navi Shipyard. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136561/image/large-a058e589055b9b73202bdcbead9413d2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/136561">“Our intention was to sail a nice clean race and we were very fortunate that we made no mistakes,” commented Greg Butler Davis, Captain of Panthalassa. “We were waiting for the breeze to fill in from the south east for a long time. We were tactically very good at the top mark and managed to perform particularly well. CNI’s Charter Marketing Department has announced a selection of new Central Agency appointments to the CNI charter fleet. The 42m (138’) Calliope was launched from the Holland Jachtbouw yard earlier this summer and has spent her first few weeks cruising through the fjords of Norway. CNI presents new charter yachts and alternative charter destinations 

Foster + Partners has designed a new sailing yacht Panthalassa, which was launched saturday at Perini Navi’s yard in Viareggio, Italy. Using natural materials to blend the interior spaces with the superstructure and skylights to introduce natural light below deck, the 56-metre-long vessel is conceived as a luxurious and flexible yacht for charter. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129473/image/large-d9a3a5a7e219d9a3497e2b42cf1f723d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129473">Panthalassa has a maximum speed of 15 knots, rises to 59 metres in height and has capacity for up to 12 guests and a crew of ten. Rather than a single owner’s suite with smaller guest quarters, the six individual cabins share similar proportions – reflecting its design for charter purposes. Accommodation is arranged to provide a range of spaces, from smaller, more private retreats to flexible, open living areas. David Nelson, a senior partner and Head of Design at Foster + Partners, said: “In designing the yacht, we were very keen to bring natural light into the saloon and to create interior spaces that offer the choice between privacy or a more social experience. Perini Navi launches Foster + Partners designed superyacht Panthalassa

Perini Navi proudly announces the sale of a 56 metre ketch, hull number <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1448">C.2123</a>. This all-aluminium alloy yacht will be the 48th vessel in the Perini Navi fleet that comprises 40 yachts in commission and 8 under construction. This latest contract was signed with the collaboration of Mark Hilpern from the well respected brokerage house Camper &amp; Nicholsons International. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/122725/image/large-4638fd844332fbe09b6671160909b989.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/122725"> <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1448">C.2123</a> represents a significant evolution of the 56 metre concept, with a sail plan and hull optimization by the renowned Irish-based naval architect Ron Holland. The Owner chose the London based design studio Foster &amp; Partners for the design of her interior in what will be this company’s first collaboration with Perini Navi. Following the sale of <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1448">C.2123</a>, the 56 metre series has now reached eight vessels, of which four (Burrasca, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/983">Santa Maria</a>, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/367">Rosehearty</a> and <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/38">Selene</a>) are not only in commission, but have also received praise from the international yachting press. Within the next 30 months Perini Navi will deliver the remaining eight yachts currently under construction. These comprise: Two 45 metre steel hulled cutters, four all-aluminium yachts in the 56 metre series (three ketches and one sloop), one 50 metre ketch, also in aluminium alloy, and one 38 metre sloop in Sealium alloy.
