First announced during the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/182" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Yacht Show - 2023">Monaco Yacht Show 2023</a>, the new concepts reflect the style of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">Group</a>, while boldly addressing their ongoing pursuit for futuristic innovation. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/298362/image/large-305007bab1f1cfc9e78e73d298909f5d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/298362">“In recent years we have had an interesting journey, enriching ourselves with experience but remaining humble and with a great desire to do more, never ceasing to dream. The launch of these three new projects gives us new stimuli and motivation to start 2024 with great enthusiasm,” explained Giovanni Costantino, Founder &amp; CEO of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">The Italian Sea Group</a>.The first superyacht unveiled is the 50-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral</a> explorer yacht Adventure, which is synonymously built for exploration and adventure. With an interior volume of under 499GT, Adventure features a distinctive glass segment in her bow, with a fully customisable aft deck area.The modern superyacht features a modern exterior design compared to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral</a>’s current 73.2-metre flagship explorer, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1596" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Planet Nine73.2m (240'2&quot;)Admiral2018">Planet Nine</a>, and boasts a panoramic pool and foldable wings on her aft deck to increase her living spaces onboard.With a total of six staterooms, Adventure features an owner’s suite on her upper deck, with three VIP suites on her main deck and two staterooms on her lower deck. Her dedicated owner’s deck includes a large glass-bottomed swimming pool and sunbathing area, while her forward VIP suite on the main deck has direct access to a private outdoor area, thanks to large cantilevered windows on her hull.Adventure is characterised by unusual shapes and volumes, and her top deck includes a wheelhouse and her captain’s cabin, as well as a touch and go helipad, incorporated into the design.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/298363/image/large-d07e7f87221cdc2e5d8abe9a8be10abf.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/298363">The second project is the 40.5-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> CAT133 catamaran. The multihull yacht is described by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">TISG</a> as “visionary with the same futuristic design as This Is It.” The Tecnomar CAT133 features expansive external spaces exceeding 300 square-metres and will mirror This Is It, with light lines and sporty automotive details.&nbsp;The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> CAT133 yacht is characterised by large glass surfaces, with various teak designs. In line with green technology, approximately 70 square-metres of solar panels have been integrated into her arches and roof of the sundeck.&nbsp;Her two hulls include two internal wings and two foldable side doors, as well as a large swim platform which reaches a width of approximately 16-metres when fully open. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/298361/image/large-66dfa8b7b556bef6ae34d007cccc4342.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/298361">The final design is the 46-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> 155 superyacht, which takes inspiration from the highly successful Tecnomar-EVO in terms of style and functionality. She boasts a strong and sporty exterior design, with sinuous and captivating lines.&nbsp;The interiors of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> 155 yacht are characterised by two large lounges, two VIP staterooms and an owner’s suite on the full-beam main deck, with two guest staterooms on the lower deck.The exterior areas of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> 155 yacht include a spacious sun deck, equipped with a large bar and a sunbathing area with a swimming pool. A second swimming pool is also found on her extreme bow area on the upper deck, connected to a large sunbathing area, which converts into an alfresco dining area with 180-degree sea views.&nbsp;Her innovative beach area, with a large stern window, features two foldable doors that allow direct access to the sea and a connection with the external area, allowing 360-degree livability between her interior and exterior spaces.&nbsp;“In recent years we have had an interesting journey, enriching ourselves with experience but remaining humble and with a great desire to do more, never ceasing to dream. The spacious bookshelves display a classic wooden design, perfectly positioned next to a timeless office desk, complete with multiple leather chairs for guests to use for work or relax whilst reading. The blend of wooden craftsmanship with hard leather is characteristic of the library room and extends across the entirety of the yacht’s interior, emanating an elegant charm.

Steeped in nearly 80 years of history and industry-leading knowledge, there’s a reason <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a> is one of the most reputable naval hubs of the Mediterranean Sea. At around 100,000 square-metres (with 30,000 of them dedicated solely to refits), the shipyard at Marina di Carrara is home to hundreds of existing projects each year, all of which are handled with the same amount of passion and enthusiasm as the next.&nbsp;At the heart of that passion is Giulio Pennacchio. Having worked in the industry for 26 years, Pennacchio – <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a> General Director – took some time out to tell us about the impressive <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a> expansion he and his team are undertaking, and how they found a smart way of working during the pandemic.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/186243/image/large-2b63f46fb2b0c732cad22edfa7cf91c4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/186243">Tell us about the expansion: We are actually working in the same space as before, but what we are doing is improving the functionality of the shipyard. As we know, last year was really hard for the industry, so in summer 2019 we took the opportunity to develop this project. Thanks to well-structured investments carried out by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">The Italian Sea Group</a> - <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a>, the site’s facilities are being expanded in order to increase their on-site hospitality and production capacity. Thanks to this avant-garde project, hard-standing spaces will be tripled starting from July 2021. Plus, a second dry dock with a 146-metre length, 26-metre width and 7.5-metre depth will be finished in October 2021. It’s the first dry dock to be built in Italy in over 45 years, and it will allow us to accommodate much larger sailing yachts. It’s an exciting but very busy time!<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/186246/image/large-c2d4d0da82d35a16d95b81f957089c4c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/186246">How will the new changes benefit clients? We’ve already built up a strong and loyal client base, but what it means is that the type of customers we will be working with will change. Because of the infrastructure and the logistics of the refit, we will be able to accommodate larger yachts of over 60 metres, and more of them. We are really passionate about the project because we trust the industry, and we trust that we will be improving our offering. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/186248/image/large-30fcb4c752e8ac6b2f392b25dc63d21d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/186248">Is it a first for&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a>&nbsp;–&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">The Italian Sea Group</a>? To start with, we were in the original shipyard, not far from the current one. But the vision of our founder and CEO Giovanni Costantino was clear. New to the industry in 2009, he embarked on this new adventure and at the end of 2012, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA</a> Shipyard was purchased from a public company — the yard’s first big refurbishment was underway, taking nearly a year to complete. From that moment onwards, we kept investing year-on-year to make the yard more modern, efficient and well, cool! We were able to take on more challenging projects, the first one being a fantastic 86-metre refit. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/186247/image/large-45cb61d7f582e15c8f7af840a9c85830.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/186247">What can you tell us about the developments? We have created more internal workshops, which allows extra room for contractors to work for the outfitting of larger parts such us masts or doors. The second slot was the floating dock, we increased its lifting capacity from 1100 tons to 3300 tons. New hard-standing spaces have also been added and this allows us to carefully move yachts on land and take on even bigger projects. Now, we’re working on the next stage. We’ve just finished building a new shed, and we are currently building a shed on top of the already existing dry dock, which is actually around 50 years old! This space will be completed by autumn 2022. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/190633/image/large-7468869e75590740becc83b9377c52b9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/190633">How has the pandemic impacted the project? We’ve really had to adapt. We have temperature checks, and we’ve implemented a shift system, so we have teams working day and night. We also installed an air purifier and sanitisation system, and our employees take regular tests. Because we acted quickly, we are one of the few shipyards that remained open without any complete halting of operations. Managing the logistics and “traffic” of these refurbishment plans is a heavy load on top of the regular activities of the shipyard. A project like this requires planning, even during the pandemic. In two weeks, for instance, we’ll be moving large amounts of concrete underwater for the dry dock, which will require an extra 80 workers, cranes and around 50 bulldozers and trucks. It’s a complex operation but good training for the future when the expansion is complete, and we have more projects and people at the shipyard.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/186249/image/large-736e24907d0f8c1aa7f5f69734af2225.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/186249">Have you worked on any stand-out yachts at&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/194" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NCA Refit (Company)">NCA Refit</a>? Every project is special. One of the important aspects is the relationship we establish with the crew and the management team. At the end of the day, you’re working on someone’s private property, and they have come to us specifically because of our reputation and service. They are putting their trust in us. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/301" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="M577.6m (254'7&quot;)Vosper Thornycroft2004">M5</a> was an incredible project; from day one right to delivery, we worked really closely with the owners. 73-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1596" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Planet Nine73.2m (240'2&quot;)Admiral2018">Planet Nine</a> was also important, and a great source of pride for us because it was our first project of over 55 metres. We are one of the major players in the area and in the Mediterranean who also specialise in sailing yachts, so we’re working on several big projects that are set to head our way when the new dry dock is complete. Sadly I can’t reveal any names, but we are going to be working on a yacht that is over 120-metres. I can’t tell you how proud that makes me to say! We have won the trust of the market, not only because of the new infrastructure but because of the people who work here – each of them has an ambition. Floating lairs for Bond villains. Yachts purchased with stolen cash. These are just a few of the headlines that habitually plague our industry. Whether splashed on the front page of the New York Times or the homepage of the Daily Mail, these stories are responsible for serious reputational damage.&nbsp;While other luxury goods are widely seen as aspirational, lofty ambitions for the fortunate few, superyachts are often perceived as being gluttonous or even immoral. An industry without a conscience.&nbsp;It’s time we asked ourselves: are we happy with the way our industry is represented on the global stage?&nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/175547/image/large-a2d172c08b332348a451a78a5c3b6701.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/175547">(Above: the superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1596" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Planet Nine73.2m (240'2&quot;)Admiral2018">Planet Nine</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/tenet-yacht-planet-nine" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">starred in the this year's blockbuster film Tenet</a>&nbsp;and was owned by the 'bad guy'.)With more NDAs per capita than most industries put together and rather difficult-to-hide products, it’s no surprise that we’re an easy target. But that doesn’t mean we should take the blows lying down. There’s so much good within the industry that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.&nbsp;From philanthropic owners to the innovative builders and designers, we’re an industry that’s not short on good stories. But without sharing these stories with the world, how can we expect to change the public perception?<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/176187/image/large-80ba6b36ced9503f7a39aef7f62ae41a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/176187">Fortunately, we’re not the first to ponder this and we can look outside the industry for inspiration. The Cruise Line Industry Association found success in recent years with their <a href="https://www.travelagentcentral.com/cruises/clia-launches-cruise-forward-program" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Cruise Forward</a> campaign, illustrating the benefits of cruising and advances in sustainable technologies.&nbsp;And, after a certain Leo DiCaprio-led movie about the dark side of luxury (no, not The Wolf of Wall Street) came out in 2006, the industry in question responded with <a href="https://www.diamondsdogood.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Diamonds Do Good</a>, an initiative to promote the positive impact that diamonds have on communities around the world.&nbsp;And, just like the diamond industry, the superyacht industry also makes a significant positive impact across the globe from wealth redistribution to onshore spending.&nbsp;This likely isn’t new information for the majority of people reading this. We know our industry is forward-thinking, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/51230" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Insight: Sustainability training with Water Revolution Foundation (2020-05-01 12:15:00 +0200)">environmentally-conscious</a> and provides employment to many. But while we know this, does Joe Bloggs?&nbsp;We need to go beyond championing our worth in industry media and start showcasing to the world that we are an industry worth its salt. An industry made up of talent, innovation and good people doing excellent work. No longer should we be epitomised by tycoons and tyrants but instead unrivalled adventures, exceptional lifestyles and the people who make it all possible.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/99407/image/large-106ef47c6276375b8248672b27b3b4ec.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/99407">But these arguments are difficult to make for individual companies alone. That’s why <a href="https://thesuperyachtlife.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">The Superyacht Life Foundation</a> was established. We’re here to set the story straight; to blow our own trumpet until the world is sick of hearing about how amazing we are. A collective to promote the entire industry, with companies and competitors banding together in one orchestrated campaign, allowing the industry to put its best foot forward and showcase the lifestyle, people and places behind the superyachting good life.And there seems to be widespread agreement with this approach. In a recent <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/news/webinars" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">SuperYacht Times webinar</a>, an overwhelming 83% of the industry agreed that a closer collaboration was needed to promote yachting. But there are costs to running such a campaign – especially if we are to reach the right people in the right places. Disappointingly, a follow-up question during the same SuperYacht Times webinar showed that only 36% felt this should be funded by companies across the industry.&nbsp;But if not, who? We’re fortunate to have the support of some of the most forward-thinking companies in the business who understand that it is their responsibility to reinvest in the industry they profit from. But more support is needed to take our efforts to the next level.And there’s much to gain. We know that only a small number of those who can afford to engage in superyachting actually do so. We also know that there are some who are reluctant to engage for fear of being brandished across the Daily Mail. No owner should have to worry about the stigma that could come with superyacht ownership. Ownership is, in many cases, the apex of a dream; something that should be celebrated, not hidden. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/96960/image/large-1ad356054bfbae052c64dff3b5857ac5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/96960">If our clients, who invest such huge sums in our industry, are having to do so covertly, then we are failing them.We’re also facing choppy waters with the pandemic disrupting usual sales channels and decimating the short-term charter market. If we are to come out of this stronger than before, we need to do so with a reputation to match.As a collective, we can go beyond the individual brands, instead focusing on the qualities that attract people to superyachting in the first place. And there are many, from families coming together to explore the far corners of the world to the skilled craftsmen and women who work behind-the-scenes to enable these extraordinary voyages.&nbsp;You may have seen some of our stories on <a href="https://thesuperyachtlife.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">thesuperyachtlife.com</a>. These stories shine a light on all things good in the world of superyachting and are pushed to new audiences by way of digital advertising. But we want to do more with <a href="https://thesuperyachtlife.com/partners/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">our partners</a>. Events that introduce the superyacht lifestyle to those unaware. A true PR campaign that results in positive coverage across global top-tier publications. Market research to really understand what our clients want. As a collective, we can do all of that, for the benefit of the entire industry.It’s time to set the story straight. Less scandal and more sustainability. Less adversity and more adventure. But this is only possible with substantial industry support. Consider this a rallying call, a challenge for our industry to come together and raise our flag proudly. Considering that her entire aft section is dedicated to helicopter operations and thus utilising only the forward part of the vessel for guests areas, that number becomes even more impressive.&nbsp;Her slender beam of 12.8 metres supports four exterior decks and one enormous commercially graded helicopter landing pad at the stern for unlimited adventuring when on board. Combine that with a range of 6,000 nm and the limits to yacht travel you once thought existed quickly disappear. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/41449/image/large-d5074861d63d4fc79bbdebb495cb97a7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/41449">But it's not all about trailblazing and remote cruising for months on end. Planet Nine is just as comfortable hanging out off St Tropez or Staniel Cay, and she has the deck spaces to back it up.&nbsp;The fun starts on the sundeck where guests will find a jacuzzi and a sheltered family-sized dining area. The first is located forward with the bed offset to port and a large lounge and office space on the starboard side. In the hills, the fresh breeze sent down by the Greenland Ice Cap smothers the area and the low level of sound is matched by an abundance of sights. Look upon the heaths, salt lakes and mountain tundra which are all homes to a mix of wildlife such as caribou, musk oxen and arctic fox. Within the various pockets of the bay, the waters hold humpback whales, walruses and seals, while the coastal cliffs are host to various birds and Arctic mammals. Disko Bay is a hub where guests immerse themselves in many activities whilst being dazzled by nature. Take the time to come ashore, make contact with the local Inuit population and try the local fare, such as musk ox steak and caribou (reindeer) steak at one of the few restaurants whilst watching icebergs float by the windows.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/112686/image/large-35fe71aa6b7a639f51bf7756940c6937.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/112686">IlulissatThe bay of Ilulissat Kangerlua (Ilulissat Icefjord) is where nature gets to business and blocks of ice the size of houses come to meet. Set against the town of Ilulissat, the third-largest town in Greenland with a population of around 5,000 (whose name means icebergs in Greenlandic), is the 1100-metre-thick glacier, Sermeq Kujalleq, which flows an average of 25 metres and feeds the bay with monstrous icebergs every day. Here is the place to pull up a seat to enjoy one of mother nature’s best cinema screenings. Be mesmerised by the ice monsters and listen to the almighty thunderclaps as they crack or explode in the warmth of the sun. As if any further encouragement for a visit is needed, this glacier is one of the world’s most prolific outside of Antarctica and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2004. Between November to April, Ilulissat is also a destination for dog-sled tours.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/107602/image/large-595cb4ca43aabf355a0ef718ef7737cb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/107602">Eqip SermiaOnly accessible by boat, the Eqip Sermia glacier is north of Ilulissat. Your scenic voyage there will drift past the village of Oqaatsut and into the northern parts of Disko Bay. As one of the most active glaciers in the country, the three-mile-long front edge constantly carves icebergs into the open ocean, creating an incredible orchestra of crashing waves and ice. Some of the astonishing sounds are caused by compacted snow that forms ice with air bubbles trapped in between the snowflakes that explode once the ice cracks. Take it all in by enjoying a drink on the deck with ice cubes made from a piece of ice collected from the glacier. There are also opportunities to take off and drift over to the Glacier Lodge Eqi, where a few hiking trails are available for those who want to pick up the pace. One easy trail will take walkers across a small river and slightly up the mountain for a view of the glacier, whereas a more demanding trail leads up onto the Greenland Ice Sheet.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/110622/image/large-e2d38433c8326a956e3d6a81cc6902ac.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/110622">AasiaatThis picturesque town gives an insight into the Inuit people of Greenland and how their unique juxtaposition of traditional cultures exists alongside modern amenities. The Inuit Greenlandic society is rich with culture which is first expressed by the smattering of colourful houses that greets guests upon arrival. Now with a three-day rock festival in the summer, a post-world-war weather station, the Aasiaat Midnight Sun Marathon and a factory for salting and packing codfish, the town is getting livelier. The surrounding waters, however, have always been lively with migrating humpback whales, acrobatic fin whales and the large population of seals. Taking to the water to meander around the islands on a kayak is also an option for observing the goings-on of this captivating town.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/112685/image/large-6e31df7bc4f1a628721ccb98b327f61d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/112685">QeqrtarsuaqAs the only large town on the volcanic island of Disko, Qeqertarsuaq is an emerald on the ice with its lush green hills and long sheep fields. Hiking trails can lead you up through the volcanic rock formations that have dropped from the impressive Basalt Mountains and the year-round dog sledging can bring guests back down to base. Along the way, have a hot tea made with the clean water from the waterfall outside of the town whilst admiring the view and catching glimpses of humpback whales gliding amongst the icebergs in the bay. For those who fancy learning more about Greenlandic history, Qeqertarsuaq Museum holds many stories of when the town was the capital of the north and how it is now home to the Arctic Station, the oldest continuously manned station in the Arctic.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/112688/image/large-27c7f35521c3b5606ad59746f62e6ccd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/112688">SisimiutThis Arctic Circle backcountry is rough and remote, but the town still has many pleasant amenities for passersby to enjoy. With a few hotels and shopping options up against mountain hikes and fly fishing in the crisp rivers, the time spent in this town can be as exuberant as you like. Skiing and snowmobiling are also possible, with a dog-sled on standby to cover the ground in between.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/107593/image/large-2578da0241c0c964b203c16437c49565.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/107593">KangaamiutWith around 250 inhabitants, the rhythm of this local village is quiet. Located at the mouth of the Eternity Fjord, Kangaamiut is overshadowed by one of Greenland’s most impressive fjord-scapes flanked by rich fishing waters. Albeit a quiet place, guests are invited to roar down the slopes from the helicopter as heliskiers frequent this favourite spot for its virgin snow and varied terrain. As <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral&nbsp;</a>was putting the finishing touches to its latest launch, 65-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga,</a> we went aboard for an exclusive preview with owner’s rep and build captain Chris Delves.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89565/image/large-a114d2fede967047dacbafd4e968f6f8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89565">If the name Life Saga&nbsp;sounds familiar, it’s because her owner has a 42-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/54" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Heesen Yachts (Company)">Heesen</a> of the same name. Often seen accompanied by the shadow vessel <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1230" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mystere Shadow49.7m (163'1&quot;)Candies Shipbuilders (formerly Houma)1981">Mystere Shadow,</a> they are just part of a stable of boats of various shapes and sizes managed by Chris Delves as fleet captain. The new <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga,&nbsp;</a>however, represents a significant step up the ladder, both in terms of sheer size and because it is the owner’s first new-build project.&nbsp;“We had been talking about a bigger boat for a couple of years before deciding to sign with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral</a>,”&nbsp;says Chris. “I spent that time travelling around northern Europe talking to shipyards and sea trialling various yachts. We were looking for a pre-engineered platform and eventually settled on the Italian yard because they were the only ones willing to introduce major changes to the design to suit the owner’s needs.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89567/image/large-2d8d73f91f7e98ed50bdbb2cb40ce98a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89567">The latest <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga</a> is based on <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral’s</a> C-Force platform with in-house naval architecture and exterior styling by Gianmarco Campanino. The signature double-height windows amidships bear an obvious family resemblance to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5500" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ouranos49.6m (162'9&quot;)Admiral2016">Ouranos</a>, the 50-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral&nbsp;</a>C-Force launched in 2016, but at 1,150 gross tons the new yacht is altogether a more imposing vessel than its smaller cousin. Numerous modifications were made to the original concept and the owner’s team worked closely with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5138" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Technical Marine UK (Company)">Technical Marine UK</a> to advise on the changes, and Alex Banning of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2237" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SuperYachtsMonaco (Company)">SuperyachtsMonaco</a> on the contractual side. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/88453/image/large-ced9c5e613dcc152be4913aae537e215.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/88453">One of the first adaptations was the introduction of a portside tender garage between the engine room and beach club. With a shadow vessel to hand, tender space wasn’t critical, but Chris points out that&nbsp;“the owner loves his tenders and the idea is that when empty the garage can also be used as a chill-out space for the crew.”The beach club itself houses a sauna, hamman, gym and – unusually – a hot tub. Instead of the standard fold-down transom platform, which is subject to wave slapping, the shipyard engineered a system whereby the hatch folds up and retracts into a housing under the sunbed on the aft main deck.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89559/image/large-2bfd00954e035fd51d1da4c6ab39916b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89559">Tender bays are usually full of trip hazards like fixed rails and locking pins. Chris had these removed and replaced with chocks that float on a bed of compressed air, which allow the 7.5-metre custom tender to be manoeuvred with one hand while the head of the gantry crane rotates so the tender can swivel round once outside to lie alongside the hull (the MOB tender and jet skis are stored in an open compartment on the forward main deck). A soft patch in the garage means heavy equipment can be easily removed from the two-tier engine room using the tender crane. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89556/image/large-de6243751ec4b893419afd58b30377db.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89556">Silent cruising was a priority for the owner from the start and Dutch noise and vibration specialists <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5472" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Van Cappellen Consultancy (Company)">Van Cappellen</a> were engaged to ensure acoustic control. In addition to the standard damping and soundproofing measures, the two CAT 3152C engines are resiliently mounted on thick steel beams that wrap around the engine room bulkheads and ceiling, forming a closed circle that helps eliminate structural vibration through the hull. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89569/image/large-fa38892bbb57496bc1534023156f4ea2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89569">Early on in the design phase the galley was shifted from the main deck to the lower deck (and later swapped sides with the crew mess from port to starboard). This left space amidships on the main deck for a VIP suite with private lounge, which can be converted into two en-suite cabins by simply closing a sliding wall panel, and an airy TV salon and sliding glass doors that open onto the fold-down bulwarks.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89554/image/large-08da851eff732bfcdad6f66a6f2d53a0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89554">The main salon is a semi-open space with full-height glass windows on both sides that can be partially lowered. Non-watertight, concertina-style glass doors fold away into side compartments so the salon opens fully onto the aft deck. The technical team at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral</a> are particularly proud of the fact that there are no pillars supporting the upper deck overhang. &nbsp;The master stateroom and owner’s office are on the main deck forward. This space also went through various revisions and the bathroom, originally on the portside, is now behind the bedhead. The legacy of this modification is that the kingsize bed is slightly off the centreline, but means the cabin is filled with light from the tall side windows on both sides. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89555/image/large-a98f8c4b80292bbae230725b5fa9e04c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89555">Instead of the conventional sky lounge aft of the lobby on the upper deck, there is a second master suite. Although the cabin itself is about the same size as the two guest cabins on the lower deck, the living area is huge and features a library-lounge, sushi bar and wine cellar, and a foosball table. A circular dining area furnished with a magnificent Fletcher capstan table sits between the salon and the open aft deck. Sliding curved glass doors mean the table can be inside or outside.“The owner’s favourite word is ‘optimisation’ and he’s a big believer in multifunctional design, so he didn’t want a dining table inside and another one outside,” says Chris. “For the same reason, we didn’t specify margins in the teak decking around the exterior furniture, in case he wants to move them around.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89568/image/large-b95bb753fe9c5d4ff6f8338060ee50c0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89568">The most impressive alfresco area is the sundeck. The central champagne bar is designed as an open-air kitchen with BBQ, grill, oven and teppanyaki station, flanked on one side by a pole dancing stage and on the other by a wet-bar Jacuzzi. There is another hot tub on the open aft deck that can be filled and heated up to 40°C in just 40 minutes. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89553/image/large-fa0f9a44cfa882577e40813d27fb5f5b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89553">The elevator, which travels only between the main and upper decks, does not appear in the original GA and was added as an afterthought, mostly for resale purposes as the owner has no intention of chartering the yacht.The original space allotted to the captain’s accommodation was quite cramped due to a walk-around console in the adjacent wheelhouse. To increase the footprint of the cabin the wheelhouse corridor was pushed off the centreline and the Böning integrated bridge moved up against the windscreen. The bridge is still generous in size with comfy sofa seating for guests, a central chart table and a separate ship’s office. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/88455/image/large-24fbf6a255319c7fa1d91339edc2ed67.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/88455">As you would expect on a superyacht of her size and volume, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga&nbsp;</a>has an under-lower deck with extra cold and dry storage, refrigerated garbage room, laundry and linen store.&nbsp;Interior designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2091" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mark Berryman Design Ltd (Company)">Mark Berryman</a> was brought in quite late to revise <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral’s</a> decor proposals. Anyone familiar with the British designer’s work will recognise his casually elegant style and faintly oriental motifs. &nbsp;“Happily, the owner liked most of our favourite materials so there’s a lot of leather, oak, walnut and teak on board,” says <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2091" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mark Berryman Design Ltd (Company)">Berryman.</a>&nbsp;“We’re not big fans of high-gloss finishes, so the woods have a much more tactile satin finish that invite you to touch them.”&nbsp;The warm wood tones are complemented by a variety of stone varieties from limestone and travertine to sunset onyx and emperador marble. Fabrics are supplied by top brands such as Hermes, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1144" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Loro Piana Interiors (Misa Poggi) (Company)">Loro Piana&nbsp;</a>and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/3790" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="C&C Milano (Company)">C&amp;C Milano</a>, while more exotic finishes include a crackle glaze, stingray leather and resin panels with solid wood inserts. Much of the interior exudes <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2091" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mark Berryman Design Ltd (Company)">Berryman’s&nbsp;</a>discreetly Japanese aesthetic, although in a more muted form because the owner didn’t want any bamboo. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/51160/image/large-749bbaedcef01879bb5ae0e37aa84bb6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/51160">73.2-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1596" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Planet Nine73.2m (240'2&quot;)Admiral2018">Planet Nine</a> was launched by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral</a> at the beginning of last year.&nbsp;The decision to build with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/570" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Admiral (Company)">Admiral&nbsp;</a>was based on the Italian Sea Group’s collaborative, owner-oriented approach and it is unlikely that <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga</a> could have been built any other way. Together with the <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/admiral-launch-new-75m-explorer-superyacht-planet-nine" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">launch last year</a> of 73-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1596" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Planet Nine73.2m (240'2&quot;)Admiral2018">Planet Nine,</a> <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga</a> is an important milestone as the brand actively engages with the market for yachts above 500GT. Even before her delivery, Italian Sea Group vice-president Giuseppe Taranto credits <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7032" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Life Saga65.0m (213'3&quot;)Admiral2019">Life Saga&nbsp;</a>with helping to bring in contracts for two new 75-metre projects.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/89560/image/large-5ee2bbf9925fbcad4c8d8981f28578a9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89560">But as delivery day rapidly approaches, Chris’ first priority is to encourage his boss to make the most of all the available volume aboard his new yacht:“He definitely has a lot more space to use,”&nbsp;concludes the owner’s rep.&nbsp;“He hardly ever used the upper decks on the old boat, which is much smaller, and in my ten years as captain I’ve never seen him in the Jacuzzi. Launched by the German shipyard in Rendsburg in mid-August, not only was this project was one of Lürssen’s first major launches of the year, but TIS was also the largest superyacht to be launched this year. Her timeless design stems from the drawing board of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/69" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Winch Design (Company)">Winch Design&nbsp;</a>and Moran Yacht &amp; Ship, who worked closely alongside the German yard to develop this custom vessel. Offering 4,500 GT spread across six decks, TIS can accommodate up to 18 guests across nine luscious staterooms. New Zealand native and long-time Florida resident Stuart Larsen is one of the yachting world’s most trusted brokers - and that’s not an easy reputation to create. Even more difficult than establishing a name synonymous with integrity, efficiency and the ability to make the deal, is keeping that reputation polished, week after week, year after year. Having worked with internationally renowned brokerage firm Fraser since the early 80s, and managing to maintain and refine a sparkling reputation over the years, we caught up with Stuart recently to hear the secrets to his brokerage success. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/30084/image/large-e016b312a20bbe2e5945ea5a8e60c192.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/30084">SYT: You’ve been in the industry for 38 years and have sold over 300 yachts - 20 of which were in the past two years. Tell us: what’s the secret to your success?&nbsp;My primary focus is on the structure and process of the transaction, rather than on simply making the sale. Like in any business venture, in order to achieve the desired outcome – the sale or the purchase of a yacht - there are a number of issues and roadblocks that have to be considered and resolved. My task is to manage the issues by finding a solution which all parties - the buyer and the seller, professional advisers and interested parties - find both fair and satisfactory.&nbsp;Secondly, managing the flow of information between parties is key. I ensure all information is factually correct and transparent and as such provides firm footing on which to develop a framework for the successful completion of the transaction. A global network of knowledgeable and experienced professionals is essential to obtain specialised input as and when necessary. In short: I do my homework. I need to know the yacht in question inside out, so its ownership history, refits, technical data, and so on. Only then am I able to present and discuss various information in a clear and organised manner.&nbsp;To sum up, I ensure I have the tools and strategy in place which enable me to manage the transaction and orchestrate all its moving parts, including the different stakeholders, to a successful completion. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/30087/image/large-011a7a98616115646caf74db4f0b5f9d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/30087">Talon, 27.41m, Cheoy Lee. SOLD: 2 August 2017, asking $1,950,000SYT: You’re originally from New Zealand but have been based in Florida for your entire yachting career, helping to grow Fraser Yachts as a company since joining in its very early years. What brought you to the States and, with a background in law, what took you into superyacht brokerage?Both happened completely by chance! After I graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland Law School, I took some time-off to travel. I was due to start a JD degree at Harvard, and I found myself in New York between Christmas and the New Year. My traveling buddy had gone home, it was snowing and brutally cold and I was not prepared for the rigours of an East Coast winter… I mean, Christmas falls in summertime in New Zealand! I decided to go south and hitchhiked to Fort Lauderdale. Money was short and I had done a lot of competitive sailing in New Zealand so I decided to look for a job on a boat. It was high season so I got lucky and found work as a deckhand/caretaker on a 45’ boat. The owner ran a chandlery so I helped out there too. One day a client walked in and handed me a large cheque – a huge amount by poor Kiwi student standards! “Thanks to the info you gave me kid, I sold my boat,” he said. “Here, buy yourself a drink. And in the meantime, come and see if you would like to work as a yacht broker for me.” I never looked back. I never did go to Harvard in the end – but I have never regretted it!SYT: As one of the most experienced yacht brokers in the world and an expert on the American market, tell us your thoughts on how the market has changed over the years, and your insight into the state of the American market right now.&nbsp;The reawakening of yachting in the US was driven by the first generation IT guys in the 90s. The combination of innovative hardware, software and the internet ushered in a new era. That being said, we really didn’t know it was happening back then!&nbsp;Company owners could still be in touch and productive without being in the office. Time on your yacht could be extended from a vacation into a lifestyle. Also, barring space travel, building a yacht is one of the most complex and captivating projects a tech-minded person can undertake. It was a catching idea. The trend spread like wildfire and I was, as they say, in the right place at the right time.&nbsp;Years later the GFC crashed the industry; clients vanished and a number of shipyards went under. The recovery has been slow, inching rather than steaming forward. Until 2017, that is. Deregulation and fiscal reform in the US coupled with an upbeat trend in the global economy have moved the market beyond my expectations. The mood is bullish, albeit wary, given current political challenges, but buyers are certainly back. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/30089/image/large-67731701a645e5a3163d015cc9492843.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/30089">Wildflour, 47.5m, Delta Marine. SOLD: 25 October 2017, asking $19,500,000SYT: Are the majority of your clients US based? If so, what are some of the key differences in selling boats to American versus European clients?Yes, although the yachting market, given the mobility of the assets, is global. Ownership varies across the geographical spectrum so international travel is very much a part of my everyday life. In my experience, the decision-making process with Americans, especially American business people, tends to be more linear, faster and more forward looking compared to some other markets. America’s new industries are tech-based and this is somewhat reflected in buyers’ approach. However, there are always exceptions to any generalisation.&nbsp;SYT: In mention of you and your work, one word in particular seems to constantly crop up: integrity. When it comes to the wider brokerage community, integrity is not often a word that immediately springs to mind… do you think the brokerage community are unfortunately tarred with the reputation of the few dishonest brokers, or do you think a lack of integrity amongst brokers is a real issue that needs to be addressed?I have a lot of repeat business, and every deal still takes up a huge amount of my time, thought and energy. My legal training has been invaluable to my career as a broker and contributed to the connection of my name with that word. I think lack of preparation, lack of knowledge of the market forces and regulations and lack of business experience is much more of an issue among brokers. I see a greater number of mistakes being made through lack of preparation, lack of attention to detail and a general inexperience rather than basic lack of integrity. Of course, there are some dishonest brokers, but there are dishonest doctors and lawyers out there, too. The fact that the market is small and the business intensely competitive can lead to cutting corners; a dangerous pathway when coupled with inexperience.&nbsp;In the long term, cutting corners never pays off. There is a correlation between positive business results and professional competence. The industry has changed almost beyond recognition in the last 30 years – technology, regulations, globalisation – it’s time professionals develop knowledge and skills to match what the market now requires. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/30086/image/large-f57ae977283b0cf1e444c07071c173a4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/30086">Icon, 67.5m, Icon Yachts. We don’t see this a lot in the brokerage community. With the digital domain only growing in significance, do you think more brokers need to embrace the powers of the internet more in order to make a mark for themselves?Absolutely yes. Interconnectivity provides huge opportunities. Over the past two years I have started exploring new avenues and the potential is amazing. However, the internet is only a tool – it can’t ‘make’ an experienced professional broker.&nbsp;This is my take. I have been with Fraser for 38 years now. Yachting is a niche yet global market so the internet is now central to our business. In addition to information about the yachts and the company representing a yacht, clients want more ‘personalisation’; they want and need to know who they are doing business with. The decision to showcase my listings, my experience and my abilities in a more direct manner at <a href="http://stuartlarsen.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">stuartlarsen.com</a> was a natural consequence of this realisation. It complements the marketing and services provided by Fraser, the most respected name in global yachting, and is therefore a win-win for all.&nbsp;Over time, I would be surprised if other brokers with a listing base (or companies, for that matter) don’t see the benefit of developing their personal brand, all in the interest of the end result: selling yachts for that win-win. At the end of the day, an owner doesn’t care the source of the buyer, so diverse market penetration can only help all the players involved. SOLD: 11 October 2017, asking $1,395,000SYT: The late Ed Dubois has previously stated in interviews that the big boat scene for the designer was really kicked off when you approached them in 1985 and asked him to take a look at a design for a client. The result of that meeting was that Dubois was put in the running alongside sailing design greats such as Martin Francis and Bruce Farr to build a 110’ yacht in New Zealand for the American owner Bob Milhous. Can you tell us a bit more about this story and your relationship with Mr. Dubois?&nbsp;As one of your recent interviews with my fellow “Kiwi” Neville Crichton indicated, New Zealand boatbuilding, and especially at Alloy Yachts, took off as a result of Ed Dubois’ designs. I knew Ed from some of his smaller racing designs and I was impressed. I knew that Bob had built one yacht in New Zealand and had liked the experience. So, I approached Ed about the New Zealand project - in my view it would be beneficial to all parties and help raise the profile of Kiwi boat building. The result was the elegant and super sporty Aquel, then the largest sloop in the world.&nbsp;My collaboration with Ed continued and we worked on a number of designs for clients, including his first ever foray into motor yachts. In 1994 we embarked on a 50-metre project at what is now Turquoise Yachts in Istanbul. The project put Turquoise Yachts on the map and after the first 50-metre Turquoise, Ed Dubois went on to design many more motor yachts. Our collaboration continued over the years. He was immensely talented and creative and is sorely missed.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/30088/image/large-d9bae32027dd2fd69a899768c1d744f3.JPG" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/30088">Ulysses, 107m, Kleven Werft. SOLD: 13 October 2017, asking $195,000,000 SYT: What are some of your most memorable sales over the years and why?Frankly, almost all are memorable – for different reasons. They all have their “twists and turns”, some were more difficult than others, and so were the clients - buyers and sellers alike. I must say I have a liking for yachts that do things, and that do those things properly. Poor designs, poor execution and poor engineering do not sit well. Yachts that go places on their own bottoms and not on dock ships are what clients should generally look at first. It is a great limitation when a yacht is boxed into the “big white boat” category. If the exterior finish befits the yachts capabilities, who cares if it is faired or not. Who cares if it has stainless steel rails or not. It is all about capability and what the owner wants to do with the yacht. Happily, I see yachting as becoming less about the physical product and more experiential.&nbsp;I think helicopters are the best tender ever invented so I tend to gravitate toward the explorer style yacht with helicopters and big tenders where the guests don’t get soaking wet when they go to dinner onshore. Take the 107-metre Ulysses and the 73-metre Planet Nine for example, both yachts I have been involved with. Now, these two yachts have serious capability. On the other hand, take Ciao Gianni, a 60’ Frers design, made for sporty singlehanded performance sailing. These are the kind of yachts that makes this business so special! I am lucky that I have clients from both ends of the spectrum and I still find each transaction, large or small, deeply compelling.SYT: What is your advice to young brokers who wish to carve out as impressive a career as yourself in the world of superyacht brokerage?Work hard. Travel hard. Expect long hours. Be honest. Be transparent. Learn to negotiate. Learn regulations. Learn geography. Learn shipyards. Learn inventory. Learn designers. Learn naval architects. Learn interior designers. Learn surveyors. Learn your colleagues. Learn your competition. Learn to write a proper letter. Don’t expect fast results. And always remember who you work for. The Italian Sea Group has today announced the launch of their latest 75-metre superyacht: Planet Nine. Known as Project 575 until now and marking the 575th vessel to be launched by the Italian yard, the Ice Class yacht features an interior from the German studio, Fitz Interior. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/22581/image/large-8abf3408ff078c6a1260b150449bb9c1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/22581"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/22582/image/large-c8c5cec1f3fd207015c40af29c8f609a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/22582">On board she accommodates guests across five generous cabins on the lower deck, as well as 300 square metre owner’s deck featuring two cabins on the main deck. A VIP stateroom is also found on the upper deck aft. Stand out features on the yacht include a large beach club and spa, cinema room on the main deck, and two elevators - one solely for the use of crew and another connecting the lower deck and the sundeck for guests.She also comes equipped with two 9.75-metre Rupert Marine tenders stored in the tender bay on the main deck aft, as well as a helipad built to accommodate an Agusta Grande helicopter. Admiral launch new 75m explorer superyacht Planet Nine

Admiral, a brand of the Italian Sea Group, have sold a 75 metre superyacht, Project 575; the company’s largest yacht to date. Project 575 is a full-custom project and the displacement motor yacht will house 12 guests in her 6 spacious staterooms. According to local Italian newspapers, the future of the 73.48 metre Nato project at Cantieri San Marco shipyard in La Spezia, has come under scrutiny in recent weeks due to rumours surrounding the incomplete yacht possibly being sent to a different shipyard for completion.The yacht was commissioned in 2006 by Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies. With a delay on delivery by several years, the hull is still yet to have the engines installed. Future of 73.4 metre superyacht project Nato uncertain

The 75 metre superyacht M25, which was sold by Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies and untill recently under construction at the Cantieri San Marco in La Spezia, has left the shipyard unfinished, and is currently located in Gibraltar. We do not have any details about the reasons for moving the hull, but we believe it is the plan to finish her in Holland. The steel and aluminium M25 is designed by Tim Heywood, and once completed, will feature an interior design by Studio Massari Interior Architecture and Design. In Pictures: the 75 metre Tim Heywood designed superyacht M25 

The 75 metre superyacht M25, which was sold by Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies and untill recently under construction at the Cantieri San Marco in La Spezia, has left the shipyard unfinished, and seems to be on her way to Northern Europe, or even the USA. The yacht was photographed by Merijn de Waard a few weeks ago outside the shipyard, and we have now received reports by SYT readers that the hull of the yacht is currently located in Gibraltar. 75 Metre unfinished superyacht M25 on the move

Last week we saw a yacht called <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">YuKo</a> in Port Hercule of Monaco. It was a nice surprise to see a beautiful yacht of which was nothing known yet. While searching for more information we came in touch with Peter Landers Jr of Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies, the shipyard who build YuKo. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/60170/image/large-5efd8ac65f38d3c3e3165614a029a30f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/60170"> Peter told us the following on both <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Yuko</a> and MY&amp;T: "Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies is a very discrete builder specialized in the construction of fine motor yachts to the highest standards. All MY&amp;T Yachts feature unique concepts and advanced but proven technical solutions for demanding Clients. Currently, we have two 73m (2100GT each) and one 50m (700GT) in construction."<img src="/uploads/store/photo/60176/image/large-7af1d0a873d15f324d627d4251a6514d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/60176"> The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/YachtModel/1593" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">MY&amp;T 39m</a> is probably one of the most sophisticated vessels in her class featuring azimuthing twin-propeller thrusters in combination with two in-board mounted 375kW electric motors. A full diesel-electric powerplant provides very low noise levels and exceptional fuel consumption of only 120l/hour at 11 knots. Range at this speed is 4000nm with 10% reserve.
