The buyer was introduced by Doug Hoogs of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4588" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Atlantic Yacht & Ship Inc. The 40.15-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5589" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Serenity40.15m (131'9&quot;)IAG Yachts Ltd2016">Serenity</a> has been sold after one year on the market, with a last known asking price of $13,500,000. To celebrate Chinese New Year, we take a look at some of the coolest Chinese-built superyachts on the water today: Gong Xi Fa Cai! &nbsp;(Happy New Year!) Nero&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/5649/image/large-1630a1b7f3ed16aa9ce1385232eb66c1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/5649"> No list of awesome Chinese-built superyachts would be complete without mentioning the 90.1-metre modern replica superyacht, Nero&nbsp;built by Corsair Yachts and delivered in 2007.&nbsp;Nero’s timeless lines were inspired by the 1890s superyacht&nbsp;Corsair,&nbsp;which was&nbsp;commissioned by the American financier, banker and art collector, JP Morgan. Nero&nbsp;features classic interiors from Neil Taylor designs which hark back to her 1800s heritage. That said, Nero also boasts modern features, including a swimming pool, two VIP cabins with saloons, two custom tenders and a 5.5-metre side boarding platform ideal for diving, swimming and boarding the yacht. Qing&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16075/image/large-cd2d98f0d447168300c96c2276c3cda2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16075">Next up, it's Qing.&nbsp;Previously called Mazu,&nbsp;the 46-metre superyachtQing&nbsp;was built by the Chinese shipyard Cheoy Lee and launched in 2010. Sporting a distinctive red hull, Qing&nbsp;was the second of MCC's Marco Polo Transocean Explorer series and underwent an extensive refit in Brisbane last year at Rivergate Marina and Shipyard. Her exterior design is from Ron Holland, and her interiors are by KCA International.&nbsp; King Baby&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/25831/image/large-28701c54c73f0e767e30f73485c067fc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/25831">Recently spotted in St Lucia by the SuperYacht Times team, King Baby&nbsp;is a 41-metre superyacht built by IAG Yachts and delivered in 2015. This GRP superyacht was built for an American family and has a generous 497 GT internal volume in order to accommodate the whole family, making her the largest composite motor yacht delivered in China to date. Inside, King Baby&nbsp;features a rock and roll inspired interior by Evan K. Marshall, including an authentic Fender Stratocaster guitar gipped in chrome.&nbsp; Serenity&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/21883/image/large-b15dd634d3f37254b40dc9963839b957.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/21883"> Serenity&nbsp;is a 40.4-metre superyacht which was launched by the yard IAG Yachts&nbsp;in April 2016. Sporting exterior and interior design again from Evan K. Marshall, Serenity&nbsp;can reach a respectable top speed of 18 knots and has a cruising speed of 15 knots. With a gross tonnage of 363, Serenity&nbsp;boasts an enormous interior volume, bringing with it a great deal of versatility for her owner's use.&nbsp; Adastra&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="/uploads/store/photo/7519/image/large-3f2d2dd49c0ec9ae63788d2615b15dce.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/7519"> Last, but certainly not least, is the eye-catching and futuristic multihull superyacht Adastra. Built in 2012 by McConaghy Boats, Shuttleworth Design in England is the team responsible for her space-like exterior, who designed the custom yacht to be built with a carbon fibre and Nomex honeycomb cockpit with a glass/Kevlar hull. Adastra has a cruising speed of 17 knots and can reach 22.5 knots as her top speed.

Our top Chinese-built superyachts for Chinese New Year

SYT visited IAG Yachts’ shipyard in China in 2014 to witness the initial phases of construction of the 41 metre superyacht Serenity. The shipyard recently announced the launch of the vessel, which took place on 25th April 2016.

With a length of 41 metres and a beam of 8 metres, her internal volume is enormous, and brings with it a great deal of versatility for her the use of the yacht. The interior layout and materials selection of this yacht was customised as per the owner’s request.

Serenity features six staterooms consisting of the luxurious Owner’s stateroom located on the main deck, and four elegant guest cabins on the lower deck. The generous crew quarter features 3 sizable cabins with crew mess in the forward section of the yacht.

This model is the Noblestar “Terrazza,” edition, notable for its fixed balconies fore and aft on two decks. This yacht is designed to be powered by twin diesel electric engines with a top speed of 18 knots, and a cruising speed of 15 knots. She has a range of over 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Exclusive: IAG Yachts launch 41m superyacht Serenity

Chinese yacht builder IAG Yachts have delivered the 41m King Baby to her American client, and have since made her way to Florida where she will be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from 5-9 November 2015.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156624/image/large-2c2cea0c42e3fbfe72db322f7c6bbe52.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156624">The GRP constructed yacht features three exterior decks, and another lower deck for guest accommodations, which includes 4 guest cabins and a master suite above on main deck forward. King Baby has a large interior volume which amounts to just under 500 GT. She has been built to RINA’s classification standards and is MCA LY2 compliant for a commercial charter rating.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156625/image/large-666e385c3af6e1e8171d3fe16ede428d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156625">IAG reports that they are currently involved in negotiations with clients interested in the signing of projects ranging from 133ft to 155ft. April 15th 2014 saw great progress for the 41 metre trideck project, Serenity, when the main deck was successfully de-moulded and placed on the hull. IAG signed the contract with an American client for the project in July 2013.
