Portofino Regate di Primavera 2023 is an invitation-only sailing event filled with some of the best-known Italian boat manufacturers. The 47m superyacht Ari in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca

Captured earlier this week in the bay of Santa Ponsa on the island of Mallorca is Heesen Yachts’ 47-metre superyacht Ari. Launched as Air in 2010, Ari is the shipyard’s sixth hull in its 47-metre displacement class and follows in the wake of yachts such as Yalla, Let it Be, Mon Plaisir, and Blind Date. Air’s interior has been designed by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, who created a classic contemporary style that makes use of ultra-modern loose furniture to create a cosy environment.

The Palma Superyacht Show 30th April to 4th May 2014 promises a fantastic show in prospect. In only the second year since it began, the 2014 Palma Superyacht Show is unquestionably fulfilling its potential as the Mediterranean’s most attractive ‘season opener’.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/147617/image/large-16c0774248ec5a41c80b3bc0a42d3d3b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146818">From an international visitor’s perspective, Majorca’s hospitable climate, combined with mainland Europe’s 1st May public holiday, have made the prospect of visiting the Show an attractive proposition. From an organisational point of view, take-up has exceeded all expectations, with berths for over half the expected number of 60+ yachts over 24m length taken, and 75% of shore-side exhibitor stand space already allocated. Running concurrently with the 31st Boat Show Palma, in the heart of Palma, exhibitors and visitors benefit from the very real prospect that yachts can be sold and charters booked in comfortable readiness for the coming season. As the only public admission event organized by the industry itself, the Show remains unique and commencing this year, benefits from a recently signed partnership agreement with MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Agency. Returning exhibitor, Paul Allan, Business Development Manager of Palma Refit and member of Refit Alliance, said “The Refit Alliance is an open and transparent group of five or six specialist companies offering complete flexibility and no internal politics! For us, being at the Show provides a great marketing opportunity to discuss refit opportunities and summer cruising support with international owners, captains and senior crew”. Unlike other shows, Palma Superyacht has a unique and pleasing ability to attract an approx 50:50 ratio of sail to power. Confirmed highlights from the beauty of sail include Mystere – 43.2m, currently the largest sailing yacht signed so far and for sale through Ocean Independence. Ganesha 1 - 38.9m, built by Fitzroy Yachts 2006 and shown by McMasters Yachts. Palma Superyacht Show exceeded all expectations

Heesen’s Let It Be in Split

As the final delivery of 2006, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a>, named after the famous Beatles’ song, undertook its maiden voyage on 24 January 2007. This is the second vessel that Heesen has built for the same owner, both bearing the same name. The <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/261">first vessel</a> is a 37 metre, 121’ semi-displacement vessel, while the second one is a 47 metre, 154’ full-displacement vessel. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a> has a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. The two XMTU 8V4000M90 engines guarantee a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.<div align="center"><img src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/122008/image/large-7e3795428cb4ad7439f83c7d2464dc4c.jpg" alt="" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/122008"></div>The central open staircase provides the perfect entrance to the yacht, with its combination of semi-gloss cherry and walnut wood, copper accents, marble floors and colourful upholstery. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a> has a spacious, warm yet contemporary ambiance. The forward area accommodates the owner’s en suite stateroom. The lower deck has two VIP staterooms, one double and one twin roomed. There are also two guest cabins. The main deck provides direct access to the wheelhouse and captain’s area. On its three levels, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a> has many facilities for relaxation. The main deck aft has a lounge area. A big dining arrangement and sky lounge are situated on the wheelhouse deck aft. On the sundeck, there is another lounge and dining area and a jacuzzi. The home port of this 131st Heesen Yachts vessel will be the south of France.

Maiden voyage Let It Be

On September 29, 2006, Heesen Yachts launched yacht number 13147, <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a>, the sistership to Yalla which launched in 2004. This is the second yacht built for the same owner. It has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The engines are 2XMTU 8V4000M90. Its top speed is 15.5 knots and the cruising speed is 14 knots. The interior is a contemporary combination of semi gloss cherry wood with walnut and copper accents. The soft furnishing and upholstery are in warm brown tints with off white ceilings and tasteful colors used for the beads and headboards. The marbles used in the bathrooms are colorful decorated marble floors and countertops with the walls in a combination of marble and lacquer. The salon and dining (12 persons) gives a spacious feeling and the central open staircase makes a perfect entry to the yacht. The forward area has the owner’s stateroom and his/hers bathroom. Lower deck is equipped with two VIP staterooms, one double and one twin and two twin guest cabins. Main galley with direct access to the crew and wheelhouse is situated on the main deck. Wheelhouse deck includes the Captain’s area, VIP cabin and sky lounge. The exterior decks are well equipped with lounge area on main deck aft, big dining arrangement on wheelhouse deck aft, Jacuzzi, dining and lounging area on the sundeck. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/45">Let It Be</a> is the 131st vessel launched at the Heesen facility and her home port will be the South of France.
