Explorer superyacht Storm was launched two days ago in Ancona by Cantiere delle Marche. In order to reach the water, the yard had to transport the 300 ton weighing steel and aluminium Storm over land, a precise operation, as shown in this video of the launch. Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has launched the brand’s flagship Darwin 107’, named Storm. The yacht was built for an owner who requested a full customization, as he plans to spend extended periods of time on board.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155424/image/large-db88ab7514c7e3314df1f34f90c965a0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155424">The yacht is designed by Hydro Tec, and has an interior designed by Studio Design PFA. Storm will be shown at the upcoming European boat shows. Vasco Buonpensiere, sales and marketing manager of the shipyard commented on the new delivery: "The owner of this beautiful explorer ship was the first customer to have contacted this site in 2010 and, after three years of inquiries and checks with his advisers at the best manufacturers in the world , in 2013 he decided to buy this Darwin Class 107. In addition to this, he chose Cantiere delle Marche after owning a yacht built in one of the best North European shipyards and, consequently, being accustomed to a very high level construction quality. There is no doubt that the baptism of Storm marks an important moment for all those who work here, as well as for the owner.”Ennio Cecchini, CEO of the Cantiere delle Marche said: "Building this yacht was exciting in every respect: the synergy between shipowner and crew, the goals shared by them and the whole CDM team, and the driving force created by a common passion for the explorer ship and the quality of the construction details has really created a special ship. Cantiere delle Marche launches superyacht Storm

Following the launch of two new superyachts at Columbus Yachts on 16th May of which the hydrodynamics, engineering and exterior design were completed by Hydro Tec, the Italian brand has announced that 2015 will see three more Hydro Tec designed superyacht launches this year. Totalling five launches, the announcement is reflective upon the state of the economic recovery following the financial crisis, indicating a positive outlook for the near future.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154447/image/large-c934a4222257ea4396501871285f7181.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154447">Launched in Naples earlier this month was the second hull of a 40 metre superyacht, as well as a highly confidential 57 metre yacht. A sistership of the 40 metre was presented in 2013 and has won several awards for both interior and exterior design as well as for her low environmental impact due to the hybrid propulsion system and hydrodynamic characteristics.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/154448/image/large-fef873d1d42c876002b6941f1b103775.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/154448">Scheduled to take place before the summer season will be three more launches bearing the Hydro Tec signature - the Darwin 107’, the Darwin 102’ and Darwin 86’. Five new superyachts to be completed by Hydro Tec in 2015

Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has confirmed that they have received orders for six new yachts. Three of the six orders are Darwin Class Yachts - a Darwin 86’, a Darwin 102’ and the brand’s flagship Darwin 107’ - and will be launched this summer.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/153530/image/large-23572558cf352a0d84be3dd5408f22de.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/153530">The Darwin 107’ will be shown at the upcoming European boat shows, whilst the Darwin 102’ will head over to the States and shown at the Fort Lauderdale 2015 Yacht Show.Cantiere delle Marche report that both the owners of the Darwin Class 107’ and the 102’ come from prior ownership of northern European built boats. Speaking of this, the brand states, “CdM has managed to take the best of the two cultures (Italian and northern European) and merge it into a synthesis that has apparently never been done successfully before, all to the advantage of its own ship-owners.”<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/153531/image/large-dd784c6816ab8acf8e145fba87782903.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/153531">In addition to the Darwin ranges of vessels, construction has also begun on the new Nauta Air 108’, sold by the shipyard following negotiations at the last Cannes Boat Show. This yacht is the result of the Milan-based studio Nauta Design and, in addition to the usual Explorer Yacht features, it will also boast ample exterior spaces and a stunning customised interior by renowned Italian designers. Cantiere delle Marche has recently announced the sale of two new superyachts; a Darwin Class 102’ and a Nauta Air 108’. The two sales increase the Italian shipyard’s total sales in 2014 to five, three of which took pace in South America.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/152085/image/large-167f26a54f01f5f90fe07c2a0e05762c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/152085">The Nauta Air 108’ has been conceived for the Americas with an especially reduced draft. In addition to the usual features of an explorer yacht, she will also boast ample outside spaces that culminate in a 70 square metre sun deck and, on the main deck, a real beach club in direct contact with the water. An important feature of the boat is the 7.5 metre beam platform built to accommodate a layout that includes a master cabin on the main deck. On the technical side, this boat will be fitted with a latest generation Dynamic Positioning System along with a highly sophisticated navigation system, a ship-owner’s toy garage with side access door and a Bulb.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/152086/image/large-95ea3cf773177ba6d095f2401f6b79c5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/152086">The Darwin Class 102’ is the sister ship to the Darwin Class 102’ sold in February and designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydrotec. This explorer distinguishes itself thanks to an important modification brought to the stern, its particularly convivial layout and special attention to the water toys housed in its large garage. At the request of the client, she will be configured for extended navigation, particularly in the Caribbean as well as the waters of South America, and for getting the most out of the charter market.The 60% of the company’s sales happening in South America is attributed to specific marketing and sales activities made possible thanks to a relational network. 2015 will see Cantiere delle Marche appoint a local dealer/area manager in the continent. As of now, three yachts are planned for delivery in 2015 (Darwin Class 107’, 102’ and 86’), with additional orders on the books and in production for delivery between 2016 and 2017.By Gemma Fottles

Cantiere delle Marche announces two new contracts

Just three months after the sale of a Darwin Class 107’, Cantiere delle Marche has now announced the sale of another Explorer Vessel of the Darwin Class line, together with Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yacht Sales. CdM has now 6 yachts in its pipeline to be delivered in 2014 and 2015.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/147162/image/large-c2fdaea9911dc2f3c4d7d8301e71df5e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/147162">This new contract has been signed for the construction of a Darwin Class 96’ (29,50 mt.) designed by Sergio Cutolo, for a 2015 delivery to a knowledgeable South American Client. New contract signed for Darwin Class 96’

Cantiere delle Marche has announced a new sale of a 107’ Explorer Yacht in their Darwin Class, maintaining an average sale of one yacht every three months since the foundation of the Shipyard.Extra-thick steel plates, the treatment systems for bilge, black and grey water used also on commercial ships for H24/365 work, the remote controlled valves, the automatic parallel device for gensets’ management, two independent rudders are only a few of the standard features which make the Darwin Class stand out since its presentation to the market.The English owner has requested a full customization, as the owner and his family want to spend more than 120 days cruising, so he requested large spaces for the crew, a great attention to the engine room and the technical aspects of the yacht. Vasco Buonpensiere, CdM’shareholder and sales director, comments:”The sale of this brand new 107’ is the first concrete result of the many negotiations we have started at the latest Cannes Boat Show.
