A 25-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunseeker (Company)">Sunseeker</a> 82 yacht has caught fire on Hamilton Island marina in Queensland, Australia. The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunseeker (Company)">Sunseeker</a> motor yacht is believed to be the 2003 motor yacht&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/12468" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Time Out25.1m (82'4&quot;)Sunseeker2003">Time Out</a>. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246227/image/large-785dcf81d559edd8684d97226e19d231.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246227">Firefighters were called to the marina at around 10am as huge plumes of black smoke erupted from the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunseeker (Company)">Sunseeker</a> 82 yacht. The fire lasted for around five hours, with efforts to extinguish the flames hindered by windy conditions.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246222/image/large-e4174229adea34131736b973345470c2.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246222">Local news company 9 News reports that Queensland Ambulance were called at 10:44am to the marina based in the Whitsundays area, but a spokesperson said nobody was injured. Police say that no one was onboard when the fire broke out but according to ABC News a man in his 40s and a man in his 60s have been assessed for smoke inhalation.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/246225/image/large-78280c44a4d328fb6d7f0fbdd1993b71.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/246225">A spokesperson from the Queensland Police Service said that officers traveled from Airlie Beach to attend to the fire.
