SYT takes a look at the yachts attending this year's Monaco Yacht Show 2023.

The 52.3-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/were-dreams" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">superyacht Were Dreams is now for sale</a>. The <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">yacht for sale</a> was launched by the Dutch shipyard in 2008 and has been a private yacht since her delivery, cruising extensively in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/210180/image/large-4bdaf2cf2f13ba16204d1ee78df3cd29.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/210180">The tri-deck motor yacht features exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tim Heywood Design Ltd. (Company)">Tim Heywood</a>, while her interior comes from the boards of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/88" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Laura Sessa (Company)">Studio Laura Sessa</a>. Her builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> penned her naval architecture and she is a yacht from the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/18" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amels (Company)">Amels</a> Limited Editions 171 series, of which nine hulls were constructed. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/210155/image/large-fe56b1f773161f8e3f9ed56c8d0f786b.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/210155">The <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/motor/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">motor yacht for sale</a> can accommodate as many as 11 guests between six staterooms, including a full-beam owners stateroom on the main deck, while on the lower deck there are two double staterooms, with two twin staterooms. Motor yacht Were Dreams in Seville, Spain

Were Dreams was launched in 2008 as the third Amels 171 superyacht. Designed by Tim Heywood, Amels has been building these impressive range of customisbale yachts for over a decade, proof of its good sea keeping capabilities and functional day-to-day use layout. Were Dreams’ contemporary interior is designed by Laura Sessa Romboli. She is currently moored, along with several other yachts, in the Spanish riverside town of Sevilla. The town’s annual April Fair attracts thousands of locals and visitors each year and is known for its bull fighting spectacles, flamenco dances, and impressive firework displays.

Amels’ 52m motor yacht Were Dreams in Seville

Just before the holidays, three large superyachts changed hands. Cromwell Littlejohn of Merle Wood &amp; Associates sold superyacht Scott Free in an inhouse deal. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/170">Scott Free</a> is a 47.85 metre Christensen, built as Marathon in 2006 by the Vancouver based shipyard.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/142220/image/large-1bab84191de9226da87fde2b06a502b3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/135934">Scott Free is part of the yard's succesful Christensen 157 series, built in GRP, and designed in-house. She offers accommodation for up to 12 guests, and 9 crew. She is powered by twin 1,800 hp 12V 4000 Detroit Diesel engines, and has a range of 4300 nautical miles. Were Dreams contemporary interior is designed by Laura Sessa Romboli. Her asking price was € 29,950,000.Sean Doyle and Rob Newton of Yachtzoo sold the Westport 40M superyacht Mustang Sally. The Limited Editions Amels 171 Were Dreams

Lantic has seen its Premium system installed on a succession of yachts from the 52m 171 Limited Editions series designed by Tim Heywood and built at the Dutch superyacht yard Amels. The latest to be launched is hull 455, the fifth in the series, which took to the water earlier this year.The system that Lantic specified for her allows for a total of 21 independent zones, all with access to the same central server loaded with movies and music. This particular system also integrates with a state‐of‐the‐art McIntosh audiovisual system for the highest presentation standards of both sound and visual in the main areas.Further enhancements include integration with a total of nine CCTV cameras as well as the lighting and air‐conditioning systems, allowing full control of the local environment in each zone via the Lantic remote control.Lantic systems can be found across a range of the Amels 171 Limited Editions superyachts launched in recent years, including <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/25" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Deniki</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/27" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Were Dreams</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/90" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Lady Nag Nag</a>, and subsequent models <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1306" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">456</a>,<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2444" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">457</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2445" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">458</a> currently in build are also due to have Lantic Premium systems installed.

Latest Amels 171 showcases Lantic System

Amels is pleased to announce the on-time, on-budget delivery of the third of its Limited Editions Amels 171s, the aptly named Were Dreams. This 52.3m yacht was shaped by Tim Heywood over an efficient, seaworthy hull with naval architecture and engineering design by the Amels team. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/125008/image/large-f73e165d8239be5d59b65c6baacb6c53.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/125008">The first of two consecutive Limited Editions Amels 171 builds overseen by Daniel Küpfer and his team at Ocean Management, Were Dreams has been a joy to collaborate on for the owner’s representative, UK-based Ocean Independence Managing Partner and broker, Nicholas Dean. Having had an Ocean Management supervisor on-site through the construction and finishing, Dean praised Amels for its high standards and the quality of its craftsmanship and cooperation. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/27">Were Dreams</a> luxury interior was created by Rome-based Laura Sessa Romboli, whose contemporary styling has received high accolades in the design industry. Comparison to the two previous Amels 171s delivered clearly proves the validity of the Limited Editions premise: to offer Clients a semi-custom design that provides room for personalization, yet assures a considerably shorter delivery time. The official handover was made on 16 April at a grand shipyard party where Amels CEO Rob Luijendijk gave a heartfelt “thank you” to the owner, who warmly reciprocated by noting his great happiness with the yacht and the build process. Commenting on the yacht’s styling, Dean complemented Sessa Romboli on her best yacht interior yet. Sessa Romboli noted with her usual modesty: “For me the latest boat is always the best boat! The owners gave us great freedom in the design. As a result much of the entire boat depended on our choices.” In making these choices Sessa Romboli made certain that detailing would be exceptional, using high-gloss maple for prime joinery with stainless-steel fittings such as door handles. Each guest cabin is themed with unique colours and materials. Sessa Romboli designed custom-made sofas, chairs, curtains, and deck furniture and even the yacht’s personal stationery, assigning fabrication to top specialist firms in Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, and Morocco. Proving that this is a winning combination of shipyard, brokerage, and management companies, the fourth Amels 171, also being overseen by Swiss based Ocean Management, is nearing completion in Vlissingen in preparation for her on-time, on-budget delivery in July 2008. In addition, the fifth Limited Editions Amels 171 is currently under construction, and the first two Limited Editions Amels 212 hulls are being fabricated. Third Limited Editions Amels 171 delivered

Last Saturday the third Amels Limited Editions 171 was launched from the shipyard in Vlissingen.
