M51 Concepts has unveiled the renderings for a new 84-metre superyacht concept, Enterprise. The innovative trimaran concept features a wave-piercing hull with inspiration taken from the original Star Trek USS Enterprise starship.Photo: M51 ConceptsEnterprise was designed in full by M51 Concepts after designer Anthony Glasson spent time onboard the 84.04-metre Echo superyacht White Rabbit. The idea was to create a trimaran concept under 100-metres while meeting all the needs of a luxury superyacht.Photo: M51 ConceptsEnterprise is characterised by a striking hull design with angular lines, with her inspiration coming from the sky, rather than the sea. “The exterior styling inspiration was only obvious once I had finished watching the first season of Star Trek and realised I had subconsciously designed a yacht that resembled the original Star Trek USS Enterprise,” commented designer Anthony Glasson.Photo: M51 Concepts Photo: M51 ConceptsThe interior of Enterprise has been designed with entertainment in mind with large 180 degree floor-to-ceiling windows in her open-plan main saloon for guests to take in as much of her exterior as possible. The gap between these two spaces is further bridged by her forward lounge that opens up onto the outdoor deck area with alfresco dining and a hot tub.Photo: M51 ConceptsEnterprise offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in eight suites comprising of a large full-beam owners’ stateroom and seven remaining guest staterooms offering a flexible accommodation layout.

There is also easy access for toys and tenders with large aft facing doors.Photo: M51 ConceptsThe central hull of Enterprise will be used for guest and crew accommodation while the outer hulls are designed for shop machinery. The trimaran hull will present a few advantages in terms of efficiency and is predicted to reduce fuel consumption by around 30 percent compared to monohulls.Photo: M51 Concepts
