About Bilgin Yachts
Founded in the early 1900s, Bilgin Yachts has evolved from a boutique shipyard into one of the world's premier yacht builders, blending rich heritage with cutting-edge technology. Headquartered in Istanbul, this family-owned enterprise is now led by the fifth generation of the Bilgin family, managing four state-of-the-art shipyard facilities spanning a total of 79,450 sqm. Bilgin's facilities include specialized workshops for furniture, metalworking, mechanics, hydraulics, stainless steel, and upholstery, ensuring that every yacht meets the highest industry standards.
Bilgin Yachts’ production capabilities are spread across multiple locations, allowing for the simultaneous construction of large-scale projects. The primary facilities include:
● Yalova Shipyard (40,000 sqm): Capable of handling five megayacht projects simultaneously, including major plumbing and infrastructure work.
● Marina Main Facility (18,000 sqm): Supplemented by new hangars spanning 8,000 sqm.
● Kucukcekmece Area (7,000 sqm): Dedicated to various stages of yacht manufacturing.
● Furniture Factory (9,500 sqm): Specializing in high-end marine furnishings and interiors.
● Outfitting Facility in Antalya (4,950 sqm): Ensuring the highest quality finishing touches before delivery.
Bilgin Yachts' reputation as a global leader was solidified with a series of milestone projects. The 2016 delivery of the 46.8m Bilgin 155 (Giaola-Lu) propelled the company into the world’s top 20 yacht builders. Giaola-Lu was a finalist for the World Superyacht Awards and ShowBoat Design Awards, a testament to Bilgin’s commitment to excellence. This was followed by the 48m Nerissa, which also received industry acclaim.
The shipyard’s breakthrough moment arrived in 2020 with the launch of the 80m M/Y Tatiana (NB75), a triumph of naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design and interior elegance by H2 Yacht Design. In 2024, Bilgin continued its dominance with the award-winning 80m Leona, which clinched the Outstanding Exterior Design - Motor Yachts, 60m and Above award at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards. In December 2024, Bilgin concluded its impressive 80-meter trilogy with the launch of Al Reem, further demonstrating the brand’s expertise in building world-class megayacht.
Bilgin Yachts continues to push the boundaries of luxury yacht construction. In early 2025, the shipyard introduced Camila, the first unit from the Bilgin 163 series. Measuring 50 meters, Camila -designed in collaboration with Unique Yacht Design and featuring interiors by Hot Lab- offers 20% more space than traditional 48m yachts, setting a new benchmark in comfort, efficiency, and design innovation.
With plans to build yachts up to 120 meters, Bilgin Yachts is focused on semi and fully custom superyachts. Driven by a legacy of craftsmanship and a relentless pursuit of innovation, the shipyard continues to shape the industry, delivering unparalleled luxury and performance in every vessel.
