The 49.9-metre Mayra superyacht Euphoria II is for sale with Cornelius Kistler of breezeYachting.Swiss.

Online news publication T24 has reported that a fire broke out on 10 February at a yacht production shipyard operating in Antalya Free Zone, Turkey. According to T24, the shipyard was partially damaged, alongside four yachts in the fire, with the shipyard closing around 18:30 and a fire report sent 45 minutes later.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/301510/image/large-9fa62a1bb9718560e643527a036af910.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/301510">The flames were seen near <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7544" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="U4 Marine & Interiors (Company)">U4 Marine &amp; Interiors</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4229" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Naval Yachts (Company)">Naval Yachts</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2926" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sarp Yachts (Company)">Sarp Yachts</a>, with reports that they were stopped from spreading to surrounding factories. However, it is believed that one of the yachts destroyed measured over 30 metres.The fire brigade, police and AFAD (the ministry of Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) were in attendance, with around 15 fire trucks supplied by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and six Social Incident Response Vehicles (TOMA) from the Provincial Police Department.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/301506/image/large-79be48a373cc5dd1c4fcd9cecaf292f1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/301506">“We immediately intervened and took the fire under control, which broke out in the evening at the yacht manufacturing facility in the Free Zone,” explained Muhittin Böcek, the Mayor of Antalya.An investigation was carried out by the Provincial Police Chief Orhan Çevik, with factory employees and Free Zone managers also evacuated from the site. &nbsp;In a statement to local journalists, Chief Orhan Çevik said, “Thank God, we have no casualties or injuries."<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/301508/image/large-37b50ff5e582188b079c0388afd11fa7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/301508">“We tried to take the fire under control by dispatching our fire brigade and police teams. This latest installment is nearing completion as the Turkish yacht builder is expecting to launch her during June of this year.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/225057/image/large-0b1f2615ab038e374436988b4af02324.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/225057"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/225046/image/large-935735e97f3fcdf108a8214f18aa5ed2.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/225046">Michael Schutte was the studio behind the naval architecture and exterior styling of XPM 78 CAT, and in keeping with the rest of the series has opted for a gun alloy finish. The CAT will have a sleeker finish though, as Michael Schutte and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4229" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Naval Yachts (Company)">Naval Yachts</a> will give her a painted finish, rather than leaving her raw with her Marine Grade Aluminium metalwork exposed. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/225043/image/large-fe6980ebaa9c0250171fa78d169973e3.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/225043">The XPM 78 CAT will accommodate as many as eight guests across four staterooms, comprising two master suites and two VIPs. Her ultra-modern interior design is the work of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/917" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Karine Rousseau (Company)">Karine Rousseau</a> who was committed to delivering comfort, class and plenty of space for socialising. Her main saloon fully encapsulates this spirit: it's generous in size, wrapped by glass and furnished with Scandinavian minimalism. Teak has been used throughout to create a synergy between the interior and exterior spaces. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/225041/image/large-b414f7d126692f80d83132950a70a4fa.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/225041">Another unusual feature of her main saloon is that it is split over two levels, offering onboard guests panoramic views from an elevated height. Her naval architecture and exterior styling came from the drawing boards of Dennis Harjaama from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6665" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Artnautica Yacht Design (Company)">Artnautica</a>. When cruising at 10 knots, she has an impressive 6,000 nautical mile range. The main saloon and flybridge have also been extended. In lieu of a single propulsion system, the second hull will sport twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="John Deere (Company)">John Deere</a> 160 horsepower engines. Much like the two XPM 78s, this large model sports a naval architecture and exterior styling by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6665" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Artnautica Yacht Design (Company)">Artnautica Yacht Design</a> and an interior by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4229" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Naval Yachts (Company)">Naval Yachts</a>. Introducing Naval Yachts’ utilitarian “go-anywhere” XPM Series

Euphoria was launched in the heat of the summer of 2016 as Turkish yacht builder, Mayra Yachts’ first completed superyacht. Headed by the Prince Group, the shipyard was cutting no corners with their flagship model that is to put them firmly on the superyacht map, and drafted designer Ken Freivokh for the design of what became known as the Prince 50 project. Named Euphoria, her curvaceous exterior is but the tip of the elaborate and trendy design that was inspired by the growing possibilities offered by the advancements in glass technology. A sensory delight awaits!

Perhaps it is the lack of straight lines visible in her exterior profile, or that grand swept arch that flows down onto the main deck, but Euphoria gives off a sense of excitement and dynamism that is so often lacking in yachts of this size. Her impressive volume just shy of 500 GT is evident in the strong and defined exterior lines picked up by her high freeboard and generous beam. No matter the viewing angle, the eye is engaged by various design elements that captivate and leaves it curious for more.

Making these curves and accentuating lines come to life in steel and aluminium is not easy and Mayra Yachts had to rely on the skills of every artist in its workforce to expertly craft and construct not only a seagoing vessel but a floating piece of art. Over three years of hard work has paid off, and today Mayra Yachts has a new brand ambassador that will turn heads wherever she goes.

The onboard experience starts on sundeck where guests can enjoy a pre-breakfast workout in the dedicated gym space that is hidden inside the curved mast structure. The remainder of the deck is dedicated to sunbathing and afternoon dips in the forward Jacuzzi.

Main deck aft was designed to host large groups of guests and comes complete with a BBQ, full service area for the crew and dedicated bar, all set under elaborately-designed deckhead panels. The mooring stations and technical areas associated with this part of a yacht is neatly concealed beneath covers that are integrated into the bulwarks, making this a truly guest-friendly area.

Below the main deck is Euphoria’s tender garage that houses a luxurious 7.4m Pascoe guest tender – impressive for a yacht of this size. A technical space on the foredeck houses a smaller crew tender and two jet skis for double the watersports fun.

On the inside, Ken Freivokh Design experimented with a retro style that was made possible by the sheer amount of natural light throughout the interior and the use of space enhancing LED lighting without having spaces feel cramped. Strong materials such as metal and glass are paired with softer carpets and leather to create a visual and physical experience.

The main saloon converts into a family cinema through swivelling couches that turn to face the giant LCD TV.

A corridor on the starboard side leads through to the master suite and it is when one enters the master office that you first get a sense of the scale of the pieces of glass used on board. The custom-made glazed panels curve with the hull and lets in light that bounces off the lacquered surfaces that clad the suite.

Two dramatic decorative arches on either side of the master bed connect the sleeping quarters with the en suite bathroom. A central glass bath tub and two oversized basins set on top of a polished grey Empredor marble and black granite floor continue the wow effect.

The atrium on the starboard side is in line with what seems like a single piece of glazing from the outside. From main deck, this bright stairwell connects the wheelhouse above to the lower guest cabins below.

These cabins are finished in the same simplistic fashion as the interior above deck. Stainless steel inserts catch the light around the cabins and create a unique mood depending on the time of day.

The galley on main deck is certainly worth a visit. Located on the centreline of the ship, it not only increases comfort when at sea, but provides guest with a snack area on the port side with either a view to the sea outside or the option to enjoy the culinary scenes unfolding inside the galley through a large viewing window.

In terms of technical abilities, Euphoria’s naval architecture was developed by Naval Yachts. Fitted with twin CAT C32 engines, she can reach a top speed of 16 knots and offers an impressive cruising range of 4,500 nm.

Superyacht of the Week: Mayra Yachts’ 50m Euphoria

Turkish shipyard, Naval Yachts, was established as a shipbuilder four years ago but begun in 2008 as a designing and engineering centre. It was the opening of a new boatyard in Antalya in 2010 that transformed the company into what it is today - one of Turkey’s most exciting young shipyards. The vessel is expected to be delivered to its owner early summer 2015. Bering Yachts has announced that the first Bering 80 superyacht is currently under construction. The heavy displacement motoryacht is part of the Yachtship Series of motoryachts from the shipyard, and will bring a modern look and feel to the design whilst still upholding the seakeeping abilities of the Expedition series.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150178/image/large-408c36d7da076de44932530f9fe4e2a2.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150178">The yacht allows for owner customisation of the interior layout with a semi-custom build approach.
