LLC (Company)">Northern Marine&nbsp;</a>in Anacortes, Washington before being transported to the Seattle based shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/47" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Delta Marine (Company)">Delta Marine</a> for completion. Her naval architecture is the work of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1129" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Roddan Engineering (Company)">Roddan Engineering</a>, while <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/249" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Jonathan Quinn Barnett Ltd (Company)">Jonathan Quinn Barnett</a> was responsible for both her interior and exterior design. The vessel has undergone several ownership changes over the years, bearing the name Just J’s and later 10, before being <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/48228" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The 46m Delta superyacht 10 sold in just four months (2018-03-12 11:30:00 +0100)">sold in 2018</a> to her current owner.&nbsp;She accommodates up to 10 guests on board over five luxurious staterooms. Spacious accommodation is also provided for a crew of up to 12. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1019" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Time For Us45.9m (150'7&quot;)Delta Marine2012">Time for Us&nbsp;</a>is both ABS and MCA certified and is wheelchair navigable, with extra-wide doors, spacious walkways and a centrally located elevator providing convenient access to all four decks. She has a maximum speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots.

LLC2006">Islander</a> has accomplished many far-flung journeys with her previous owner thanks to her sturdy fibreglass hull, heavy steel plate that runs the length of her keel and a bulb at her bow. Having designed the yacht's exterior, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/735" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Northern Marine Co. LLC (Company)">Northern Marine</a> incorporated a flybridge with a full helm station, alfresco dining and large hardtop with two sliding hatches for sunlight. The 25.76-metre explorer yacht Islander has been sold by Northrop & Johnson broker Whit Kirtland; who acted on behalf of the seller.

The yacht was launched in 2007 at Northern Marine in the States to a design by Jonathan Quinn Barnett and forms part of the yard’s 151 Tri-Deck series.

The 39.62-metre Northern Marine motor yacht, Magic, listed for sale with Moran Yacht &amp; Ship has been sold.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/15852/image/large-5fceb92688c462909b0b274f966f9186.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/15852"> Built by Northern Marine in 2005 and undergoing an extensive refit in 2014, Magic features interior and exterior design from the US-based Setzer Yacht Architects. As part of her 2014 refit, Setzer Yacht Architects were also commissioned to reconfigure her sundeck.&nbsp;Other new features installed during the refit include a hydraulic swim platform and a carbon fibre hardtop with UV-protected skylights.&nbsp;On board, the 39.62-metre motor yacht accommodates 10 guests in five ensuite staterooms, including a main deck master suite and four doubles. Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 engines, Magic has a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, with a range of more than 3,000 nautical miles at cruising speed.&nbsp;At the time of sale, Magic&nbsp;was listed at an asking price of $9,950,000.

Superyacht After Eight cruising in Vancouver

Recently seen cruising off Vancouver Island in Canada is the 46 metre superyacht After Eight. Launched by Northern Marine in 2007, After Eight was the first yacht in the 151 Tri-Deck series. The second yacht, Bella Bri (now Freedom), was launched in the following year. Both yachts were designed by the talented team of Jonathan Quinn Barnett, who among others also designed the interiors of the 126 metre Octopus. After Eight is privately used by her Canadian owner and she can often be found in the Vancouver area.

Superyacht Just J’s in Fort Lauderdale

Previously named Monarch, the 45.90 metre superyacht Just J’s is pictured here in Fort Lauderdale. Launched in 2011, her hull was built by Northern Marine in Anacortes, Washington before being transported to the Seattle based shipyard Delta Marine for completion. Her naval architecture is the work of Roddan Engineering, whilst Jonathan Quinn Barnett was responsible for both her interior and exterior design. Her owner recently took delivery of his new yacht, a 61 metre yacht built by Hakvoort in the Netherlands by the same name.

Superyacht Just J's in Miami

On Sunday, May 18, 2014, New World Yacht Builders LLC (DBA Northern Marine) suffered a major accident during the launch of its new 90’ expedition yacht, as the yacht capsized onto its port side during the launch and settled to the bottom of the launch area. Fortunately, the experienced master and crew responded to the peril professionally and all aboard escaped, with only two employees suffering minor cuts. There was no property damage to the surrounding launch area and potential environmental contamination was negated as a result of instant response to avoid possible fuel leakage, of which there was none.Since the casualty, there has been much speculation as to what happened, often with little or no supporting evidence. Northern Marine is cooperating with the United States Coast Guard in its investigation into incident.<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SA139bHv8og" width="560"></iframe>Northern Marine has launch more than 35 vessels, ranging from 57 to 151 foot motor yachts, with all of its trawler models having been launched using transport dollies at the same ramp where the accident occurred on the 18th. Northern Marine continues to have complete confidence in its trawler designs, all of which have been tank tested and passed the same United States Coast Guard (USCG) stability standards applied to commercial fishing vessels operating in the North Pacific. Northern Marine trawlers have safely sailed to destinations throughout world, such as the 75-foot Starship that successfully completed a 1000 day, 78,000 mile journey to explore parts the world rarely seen by mankind.Northern Marine believes the 90 foot yacht involved in the launch accident to be no exception. Since the accident, the project naval architect/Professional Engineer has confirmed that the yacht, as designed, had adequate stability with the amount of ballast aboard at the time of launch, provided that “severe heeling moments” were not induced during the launch. Unfortunately, it appears that just such a severe heeling moment did occur during the launch. While investigations as to the cause of the capsizing are continuing, the physical evidence on, and adjacent to, the launch ramp suggests that the dolly carrying the weight of the port stern of the yacht may have suddenly dropped off the edge of the boat ramp during the launch, causing the vessel to experience a sudden list to port from which it could not recover in its light condition for launch.As noted above, the official USCG investigation continues and Northern Marine will cooperate in those investigations to their conclusion. Northern Marine is also working closely with the yacht’s purchaser and their insurance underwriters to address the losses resulting from the accident.

Northern Marine comments on capsizing of 90’ expedition yacht

Yachtzoo and RJC Yachts sell superyacht Bella Bri

Northern Marine has announce that it signed a new contract to build an 85-foot expedition yacht, which is slated to launch in the summer of 2013. Designated hull #8501, and named Blood Baron, the design features a bright red hull with a contemporary stylized exterior, while maintaining the aggressive and masculine look that is part of Northern Marine’s heritage. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/137097/image/large-bed9c6c003be75193bc4d32c6fd98563.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137097">The 85 design represents a collaboration between Northern Marine, Adriel Design, and the yacht’s captain, Aaron Pufal, who describes Blood Baron on his blog <a target="_blank" href="http://www.yachtcaptainblog.com">yachtcaptainblog.com</a> as “an updated take on an expedition yacht.” With an extended superstructure that brings the pilothouse aft to create a large panoramic skylounge, the 85 will feature a voluminous interior similar to that of a motoryacht with plenty of space for entertaining and relaxation, but with the range and fuel efficiency of a long-range cruiser. “I think a lot of people who follow Northern Marine will be surprised by the styling of our new 85,” says Andy McDonald, president of Northern Marine. “We were excited to work with a customer who was interested in doing something different.
