Among her former owners is Italian film star Virna Lisi.&nbsp;She underwent a refit in 1992, followed by further modifications between 2004 and 2005. Following initial steelworks in Croatia, the yacht was transported to the Netherlands and lifted out of the water at Shipyard De Hoop using heavy-lift cranes.Now measuring 40-metres, the yacht’s exterior modifications have been overseen by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/241" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="René van der Velden Yacht Design (Company)">René van der Velden</a>. Meanwhile the interiors have been developed in close collaboration with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/43" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cor D. Rover Design (Company)">Cor D. The design is defined by rich, polished wood, complemented by contemporary materials, including luxurious carved velvets and distinctive textiles. The designer also introduced soft pastels, seafoam greens, and coral accents that reflect the classic Mediterranean lifestyle.The general arrangement will be revised, introducing several layout changes, including a new master cabin on the upper aft deck, a reconfigured galley, and the addition of a central staircase. The redesign is aimed at transforming the yacht into a retro-style charter vessel, accommodating 8 to 10 guests, with a maximum capacity of 12 beds.The exterior works include structural modifications to both the bow and aft sections, increasing <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1667" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Firenze38.2m (125'4&quot;)CRN1978">Firenze’s</a> overall length to approximately 38.2-metres. The top deck is also being fully renewed, with the addition of a whirlpool as a new highlight.From a technical perspective, the refit includes the installation of new onboard systems, along with upgraded piping and wiring throughout the vessel. A strong emphasis is being placed on sustainability, with improvements such as enhanced waste management and heat recovery systems. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1667" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Firenze38.2m (125'4&quot;)CRN1978">Firenze</a> will also be equipped with an AI-supported yacht management system, ensuring more efficient and modern operations in line with current standards.Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1667" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Firenze38.2m (125'4&quot;)CRN1978">Firenze</a> is propelled by twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> engines, giving her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 15 knots.

Yesterday we asked you for information on a superyacht that was unfamiliar to us. Superyacht Ras was photographed last week in Krk Island, Rijeka, Croatia, but I could not identify her. Thanks to our readers, we have now identified her.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/142181/image/large-0b363e50067199093e53f708b56f5864.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/142164">Ras was built in 1985 by Dutch shipyard De Hoop, in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, to a design by De Vries Lentsch. The yacht's designer has confirmed this to us. We also learned that she was lengthened in 1999 from 28 metres to 30 meters. Her original name was Vagasto, and she later on became Poncho IV.
