The 72.1-metre motor yacht Stella Maris by VSY has been sold after being on the market for just 78 days. Simon Ting of SuperYachtsMonaco represented the seller during these negotiations, while it was Joan Plana of World Yacht Group who introduced the buyer. Stella Maris was launched in 2013 and sports an exterior design penned by Espen Øino International and a naval architecture drawn up by Laurent Giles Superyacht Architects. The powerhouse duo styled her with rugged utilitarian lines that are softened by the more traditional trappings. She has straight, rigid lines that run from bow to stern, dividing her three decks, and an angular superstructure that is reminiscent of a more militant vessel. It is her bow which ebbs this aggression, as Espen Øino International and Laurent Giles Superyacht Architects have styled the area with gentle, flowing lines that give no illusion that she’s been designed for pleasure.
