Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesLaunched at the Lürssen shipyard in Germany in 2008, the 110m superyacht Al Raya (ex Ona, Dilbar) was designed by Tim Heywood, and shares a similar exterior profile with her two sisterships, Pelorus (2003) and Radiant (2009). Her highly ornate interior is the work of designer Alberto Pinto. Before having had taken delivery of Al Raya, her owner had a 66-metre Oceanco superyacht, which was sold and is now known as Luna B. Since selling Al Raya as Ona, the yacht's previous owner has taken delivery of yet another yacht, this time the 156-metre superyacht Dilbar built by the same German shipyard. Fitted with a combined diesel mechanic and diesel-electric propulsion system, Al Raya is considered one of the ‘greener’ large superyachts in operation today.
