Yachting Dinner Night, the culinary event dedicated to the leading players of the contemporary superyacht scene, arrived for the second time in Pietrasanta, Viareggio, Italy. The dinner was held on 14 March.
Five shipyards competed against one another to present the best dish to an audience of nautical-architectural practices, international design brands and the press. As “chefs”, the shipyards are the protagonists of Yachting Dinner Night, with each proposing a dish that tells something about its history, philosophy or projects. But before guests were invited to sit down and enjoy the curated dishes, a presentation of both Yachting Dinner Night and its protagonists was held nearby at Barbara Paci Art Gallery, a contemporary gallery in Pietrasanta historical centre. The shipyards arranged a five courses menu of creative dishes: Sinergia, a typical capponada from Liguria; OSS-Paragus Bake, a silver-plated fish & asparagus that pays tribute to Heesen’s Dutch origins; The Blooming Effect, a green risotto with flowers from Sanremoen tradition; Muscoli a km 0, mussels from La Spezia, Italy; and The Origin of Beauty, a special dessert to celebrate Benetti’s 150th birthday.Photo: Michele ChiroliPhoto: Michele ChiroliPhoto: Michele ChiroliCesana, Dornbracht, Flos, Model Maker Group and Videoworks, as well as representatives from SYBAss and the Monaco Yacht Show, formed the jury.
