The 43.45-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4811" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados Oceanic 14343.45m (142'7&quot;)Canados2023">Oceanic 143</a> tri-deck superyacht was launched earlier this year and is the largest yacht to be built by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> to-date. The Oceanic line flagship yacht was displayed at the recent <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/172" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cannes Yachting Festival - 2023">Cannes Yachting Festival</a>, offering an elegant interior design.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/289630/image/large-31aa92ca21d8d6ee80b2b5a4ea0c9a54.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/289630">The Oceanic line of yachts aims to bring a composite built, low maintenance explorer style yacht to the market, featuring architecture which would allow for increased comfort onboard, with reduced fuel consumption at longer range speeds. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> penned the superyacht’s architecture, resulting in an explorer-style vessel, with a generous aft deck and a superstructure pushed forward. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> worked on a design which would reduce the buoyancy of the yacht aft and allow the yacht to remain perfectly balanced, despite housing so much of the superstructure mass towards the bow, in order to ensure stability of the yacht at anchor. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/289629/image/large-0d52aafe2aff8b6112cb50faff57c97f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/289629">The superyacht has been designed with comfort in mind, the goal was to create an explorer yacht which guests could live onboard for an extended period of time. While <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a>’s exterior design was developed in-house, the motor yacht’s luxury interiors stem from the drawing boards of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/92" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Michela Reverberi (Company)">Michela Reverberi</a>. Glass-surfaced cabinets similarly line the main saloon, adorned in a white geometric artistic design, while a dedicated dining area is situated in front of the saloon’s statement wall. Further aft is a dedicated lounge area, featuring three sofas surrounding a large square coffee table and fire pit, situated next to an opulent glass Jacuzzi, located at the yacht’s transom. The tri-deck yacht offers long-range capabilities as well as an impressive top speed for her size. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/233430/image/large-03eb182a52f815ee2eb09509f5a8b27f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/233430">The Oceanic 143 yacht is the result of an in-house exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> with luxury interiors by Rome-based designers <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/92" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Michela Reverberi (Company)">Michela Reverberi Design</a>. Her hull was developed at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> to provide optimum comfort at displacement speeds of 8-12 knots while reducing fuel consumption. The large superstructure also made these goals difficult and her planing hull had to be removed as it did not offer stability at displacement speeds. Her hull was instead built in E-Glass and Vinylester resin while her superstructure is made of Kevlar/Arama to keep her weight down.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/233426/image/large-c6c9b2a9d7c0f2c65b8ccfa90390b99f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/233426">The Oceanic 143 yacht can reach her top speed of 24 knots, thanks to triple <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> C32 B-series engines. She is also equipped with an intercooler to allow her to run at low speeds for long crossings and burn less fuel.&nbsp;The main deck and saloon of the Oceanic 143 yacht is located above the guest staterooms with all mechanical noises contained in two bulkheads aft of the lower deck. Canados launches 43m Oceanic 143 flagship motor yacht

Canados has announced the launch of its flagship 43m Oceanic 143 motor yacht in Ostia, Italy.

Continuing work on their ongoing Oceanic 140 explorer yacht, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/560" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Canados (Company)">Canados</a> has announced that its flagship project is back on track with a new delivery date set for March 2022. The delay has been attributed to the anticipation of a new series of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> 32B engines - a new Tri-Turbo evolution of its 32 Acert engines not yet released to the public.&nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/177964/image/large-2025c1124d32e15f6ef8bbb5b1bf33c8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/177964">Designed for extended ocean voyages, the project is expected to offer a range of over 6,000 nm at 10 knots. An efficient hull shape optimised in Rome also delivers a top speed of 25 knots while keeping the vessel’s draught as low as 2,1 metres at half load.&nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/177962/image/large-eec5654ce17bf9aeb9cba5ad8f28805e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/177962">Although this first project is expected to remain in the South of France after completion, the Oceanic 140’s 110 square metre aft deck lends itself perfectly for adventurous owners looking to carry large tenders on deck. This first unit is kitted with an open-plan entertainment area including an infinity pool and outdoor lounge. However, hidden in the hull at the stern will be two electric cars which are launched via an <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1824" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Opacmare SpA (Company)">Opacmare</a> Transformer. Rome-based shipyard Canados has released a first look at its 43-metre Oceanic 140 expedition-style superyacht since construction began in 2014 following the project’s commissioning in the same year. The first Oceanic 140 was put on hold during the company’s takeover by current owner, Michel Karsenti who is also behind the Oceanic line of motor yachts.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/46450/image/large-a11b368b7f70894b16c661cae39c808c.JPG" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/46450">The project is in an advanced stage of construction with the hull and first level of the Kevlar/Aramat superstructure already complete. Canados Oceanic 140 superyacht back on track for 2020 completion

Canados, the Italian shipyard that was acquired by Mr. Michel Karsenti in February this year, has launched its first Oceanic 76 GT motor yacht. The Oceanic Yachts 76 fast expedition yacht was completed in a mere five months and delivered to her owners this month.

The Oceanic 76 is the smallest and latest addition to the Oceanic range with other models consisting of 95’, 120’ and 140’ versions. As with the larger models, the 76’ is based on a unique ‘Displaning’ hull shape that allows the vessel to comfortably cruise at lower economical speeds, while still able to achieve high planning speeds of over 25 knots depending on the performance package fitted.

The 76 offers impressive outdoor areas both on the sun deck and main deck aft. A social dining area is placed on the foredeck and is also where the two crew members can access their crew cabin from.

The owning couple addressed the Canados workforce during the launch of their yacht: “When we signed the contract, we were convinced that the boat could not be finished by the promised date, but the Oceanic 76’ GT was really the most desirable boat to us. Today, I can say that we both can’t believe what we see. The respect of the delivery time, the incredible quality in the smallest details is beyond expectations!”

Mr. Karsenti too had a few words of praise for his team during the event: “My true pride is to work with people like you. You’ve been working seven days a week to make a client happy, to deliver a superyacht and this is the true testimony of the shipyard’s philosophy and what makes Canados so unique...”

Canados launches first Oceanic 76 GT motor yacht

The Rome based shipyard Canados has announced the start of construction of their first vessel since the recent acquisition of the company by Mr. Michel Karsenti in February this year. The Oceanic Yachts 76 was sold before the official presentation of the vessel, and is the first in a range of explorer yachts. Her hull and superstructure is scheduled to be completed imminently.

The Oceanic Yachts 76 will come in either a three or four cabin layout, with two different main deck versions consisting of either a fully enclosed galley to the front, or an open American style galley aft. She features generous outdoor spaces both on the aft deck and the fly bridge, whilst her tender garage will house a 3.85 metre tender.

Canados announces construction of Oceanic Yachts 76

Last year Canados (Cantieri Navale di Ostia ) announced their new brand, Oceanic Yachts and today the company has unveiled more details about the first two superyachts in production of this new range; the Oceanic 90 and the Oceanic 140.The main features of this new brand are:• Extended outdoor and indoor living volumes; • Ability to carry large toys and tenders; • High performance and ability to navigate at economic speed with low fuel consumption, resulting in reduced overall operating costs.In order to achieve the above it was necessary to rethink the whole fundamentals of the fast yachts concept. Ensuring clients could achieve their legitimate goals, Oceanic Yachts designed and developed an innovative hull concept named "Displanning", a combination of the words ‘displacement’ and ‘planning’.The “Displanning” hull concept offers the best of both displacement and semi-planning configurations, more specifically displacement at speeds under 14-knots and semi-planning above that speed. In general, displacement speeds offer low consumption and longer range, while semi-planning offers higher performance.Oceanic 90 The entry-level Oceanic Yachts 90’ is available in a diesel version with two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines coupled to conventional straight shafts (STS model). The hull design incorporates twin steps that significantly reduce the hydrodynamic resistance at cruising speed (24 knots) and produces a top speed of 27/28 knots.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/146416/image/large-8e51648d33e7444a8b5d99233b7e1b1c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146416">The "DiElec" model – which stands for Diesel-Electric propulsion – is a true innovation of the Oceanic range. In this version, the 90' can run either on its two Caterpillar engines coupled to Fortjes pods with counter rotating propellers for speeds up to 28 knots or, alternately, on its two electric motors powered by generators.Oceanic 140 The second Oceanic Yachts model that will be launched, the 140’, features a superstructure made of Aramat, a state-of-the-art material employed in aeronautics, an exceptionally light and strong combination. The 140’s power is provided by three MTU 16V2000 M94 engines, each producing 2,600hp. Two additional 120 kW Auxilia electric motors allow her to navigate in diesel-electric configuration at 8.5-knots with less than 50 litres per hour of fuel consumption.
