The largest yachts for sale at Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

With the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 drawing closer, SYT takes a look at some of the yachts available to purchase at this year’s show. 

The 30.2-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/151" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Southern Wind (Company)">Southern Wind</a> sailing yacht, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3477" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Friday30.2m (99'1&quot;)Southern Wind2010">Blues</a>, has been sold. The sale was concluded in-house by the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5582" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Southern Wind (Brokerage) (Company)">Southern Wind Brokerage</a> team, only four months after she joined the market in February 2021. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/121210/image/large-dfc8ce6e896fa44caeef90cf0c1bbb90.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/121210">The sailing yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3477" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Friday30.2m (99'1&quot;)Southern Wind2010">Blues</a>, sold, now to be named <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3477" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Friday30.2m (99'1&quot;)Southern Wind2010">Friday</a>, is the eleventh unit of the builders SW100 series, and the second model to include a raised saloon deck. She was launched in 2010 and built with performance in mind, in the years since her launch she has widely competed in the Caribbean and Mediterranean racing circuits. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/58880/image/large-e5a5f3f5a724b6f9512a0b006e6d40dc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/58880">The superyacht features exterior and interior design from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/153" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nauta Yachts S.r.l. (Company)">Nauta Yachts</a>, and she can accommodate as many as eight guests between four staterooms. (Company)">Cummins</a> diesel engine, which powers her to a top speed of 11.5 knots, with a cruising range of 2,300 nautical miles and her cruising speed of 10 knots. Southern Wind sailing yacht Blues sold

The Southern Wind Brokerage has announced the sale of the 30m sailing yacht, Blues. She had a last known asking price of €5,400,000.

An awe-inspiring regatta fleet of twenty super sailing yachts and seven luxurious motor yachts are berthed in YCCS Marina in preparation for the first day of the racing at the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/143322/image/large-5edbab4effbdc84843f984fd23562014.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/143322">The third edition of the event organised by Boat International Media and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda has attracted a record number of sailing yachts in 2013, set to enjoy three days of racing in the idyllic conditions offered by the British Virgin Islands. Stretching more than 30 miles along the Sir Francis Drake Channel, the BVIs are comprised of more than 60 beautiful islands set amid the sheltered, turquoise waters of the central Caribbean Sea, offering some of the most picturesque sailing in the world.A diverse fleet of modern yachts and elegant, classic designs will race under the International Super Yacht Rule, overseen by Principal Race Officer Peter Craig and the YCCS Race Committee. The 30.5m Wally sloop Indio returns to defend her title alongside Jim Clark's 42m J-Class Hanuman which took second place in 2012. Other returning competitors include the Briande-designed Perini Navi 38.1m P2, helmed by Gerry Andlinger, as well as 45m fast cruiser Salperton and the super sleek 49.7m Zefira, both built by Fitzroy Yachts.New entries for this year include the 62m Hoek Schooner Athos built by Holland Jachtbouw, Perini Navi's 54m Parsifal III, Camper and Nicholsons 40m J-Class Endeavour and Southern Wind yachts 30.2m Blues and 30.26m Cape Arrow, the latter chartered for the occasion by title sponsor Loro Piana.An impressive display of motor yachts including Feadship's 63m Lady Britt, veteran participant 46.9m Ingot by Burger Boat Company, Westport's 39.6m Resolute and late addition 34.1m Chief, will turn out to follow the fleet and enjoy the spectacle of the regatta. YCCS Virgin Gorda welcomes majestic fleet for superyacht regatta

Sellers are also being very realistic about the value of their assets which means there are some excellent yachts to be bought today at values much more competitive than previous years.” “Sailing yachts of today have little in common with those of even just 15 years ago,” says Vogèle. “They are much more comfortable than before and with a lot more space.
