The new facility is still gearing up, but by the time it is fully operational it will have around 40 full-time employees on site. No outside investors are involved and the yard is fully owned by the Parigi family.&nbsp;“We’re in this for the long term and not just as a financial investment,” says Marco Pargi. “A sign of that commitment is that we’ve been willing to start building our first project on spec.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/89686/image/large-b9e80fc6909e9f4f68c9b7ac52a48a01.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/89686">The tri-deck layouts of the Enjoy and Wide models are very similar and provide a high level of flexibility in a compact package. The winners of Boat International Media's World Superyacht Awards 2018 have been revealed. Now in their 13th year, these awards celebrate the ingenuity and innovation which is demanded by the design, engineering and construction of the world’s finest superyachts.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/35396/image/large-4c2cc25bd028e6aec6c3cf7b4c53a1d8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/35396">This year, two new categories were added, Support Vessels and Sail-Assisted Motor Yachts, in order to reflect the ever-changing nature of the superyacht industry. The Awards are judged by a committee of superyacht owners and thus represent the only peer-reviewed yachting awards in the world.&nbsp;There were a total of 68 nominations making up this year’s highly competitive class, with a total of 18 Neptune awards received by the winners. Winners of the 2018 World Superyacht Awards revealed 

Ocean King has delivered their flagship vessel to her new owners. The Ocean King 130, named Genesia, features an exterior design by Andrea Vallicelli and is the third vessel to be delivered by the Italian shipyard.

The 40.3-metre yacht is constructed entirely of steel and has a volume of 650 gt. She accommodates guests over a six room layout, with stand out features including a large beach club, generous exterior spaces and a touch and go helipad.

Scheduled to be on display at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the second hull in the Ocean King 130 is available for purchase with Ocean Independence and is listed - somewhat uniquely - at an asking price in Bitcoin of Ƀ 3846. Ocean King encourages visitors to visit Genesia to learn more about the new shipyard.

The 40m Ocean King superyacht Genesia delivered

Earlier this week, Italian shipyard Cantieri Navali Chioggia launched its flagship vessel in its explorer line of yachts – the Ocean King 130 named Genesia. The Venetian shipyard managed to reach this stage of construction a mere 20 months after having signed the build contract. Genesia will be on display at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in September later this year.

Built as a self-sufficient world cruiser, the Ocean King 130 carries an incredible 200,000 litres of fuel which gives her a range of 9,500 nm at a speed of 9 knots. Her tug-like appearance and robust naval platform will deliver excellent seakeeping capabilities when things get rough out at sea. Her heavy duty CAT engines deliver a top speed of 14 knots at full speed.

On deck, her 125 square metres of upper deck space is designed to carry an array of various watersports toys and underwater equipment. It is here where her 8-metre tender will be stowed.

She accommodates 10 guests in four cabins, all of which are located on the lower deck and includes a master, a VIP, and two twin cabins. The main and upper deck each has its own saloon area.

40m Ocean King Genesia launched

Ocean King has recently delivered its first 31 metre explorer yacht named Ma Victoire to her owner. Code named the ‘Pleasure Tug’, this rugged ocean-going explorer is the result of the shipyard’s collaboration with designer Inave Studio.

The Ocean King 100 has a unique layout, with all guest and owner accommodation found on the lower deck, able to comfortably accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins. The crew accommodation is found forward on the main deck. According to Daniel Dwyer of Ocean Independence, the copany who introduced the buyer to the shipyard in this project, it was the yacht’s rugged exterior and tough steel hull that made an impact on the client’s ultimate decision to purchase the yacht.

Fitted with two MAN D2842 engines, Ma Victoire comfortably cruises at 11 knots while delivering a range of 4,000nm at an economical speed of 8 knots.

Another yacht is also under construction at the yard, the Ocean King 130 designed by Andrea Vallicelli. This yacht is also expected to be delivered later this year.

New build Ocean King 100 explorer sold

Italian brand Ocean King has recently completed building a new dedicated closed shed. Cantieri Navali Chioggia is working on two new superyacht projects, the Ocean King 100 and the Ocean King 130.
