Icon Yachts have completed the refit of superyacht Princess Too. During the refit, the yacht's teak decking has been repaired and re-caulked. In this process the original black caulking was replaced by a modern looking grey colored caulking which complements the new exterior color scheme.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/149531/image/large-bb53b5f799592f8aabb23f63266df715.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/149531">The hull has been finished in dark grey with a fresh boot top line combination and a classic Matterhorn white superstructure. Icon completes refit of Feadship Princess Too

The major refit of the 48 meter super yacht Princess Too is well underway.A substantial amount of work and processes are already well advanced to bring M/Y Princess Too back to and beyond her former glory.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/146682/image/large-2cd8a14dd82e83ce66f1d76e3933f804.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146682">Captain Greame Riddle of Princess too says: “The work is progressing very good and is very well managed by the appointed ICON Yachts project manager Leon de Haas”.Right at this moment the teak decking is being repaired and re-caulked. In this process the original black caulking was replaced by a modern looking grey colored caulking which complements the new exterior color scheme.As part as the complete repaint the hull will be finished in Awl Grip dark grey with a fresh boot top line combination and a classic Matterhorn white superstructure. The underwater ship has been completely stripped by sandblasting to bare metal and re-primed for accepting the new system once all hull hot work is completed.Further improvements include the installation of a black water holding tank, system upgrades and scheduled maintenance work including the removal and complete overhaul of the Quantum zero speed stabilizers.According to project manager Leon Haas: “The co-cooperation with the captain and crew works very well, which aids for us to perform our job both efficiently and at the best quality”.

Refit of Princess Too well underway at Icon Yachts

With no less than nine successful refit projects completed by the Dutch superyacht shipyard, the client of M/Y Princess Too choose ICON Yachts based on the excellent track record and very competitive pricing presented with a well defined scope and planning. Alongside a full Awlgrip repaint in a new color scheme and build up of a new underwater ship ICON Yachts is commissioned to integrate a new black water double bottom storage tank. With the unique facilities of ICON Yachts and the core of the best Dutch yachting suppliers on site or within a few hours’ drive the location is presenting a convincing winner for large superyacht refits.Stephan Vitus, Head of Project Development explains: “It is the package we offer; from the first inspection on board to the detailed scope we specify and quotations free from build in sinkholes, right up to the enthusiastic team and strict quality control at the yard – that’s what differentiates us and convinces clients to drive their yachts from the Med to Holland, for a Dutch quality refit".Some of the most recent refit projects completed at ICON Yachts include the motor yachts Seven Sins, Rahil, Slipstream, C2 as well as Skat and EOS (the last two were managed by Royal Huisman at the facilities of ICON Yachts). The shipyard is currently completing the major conversion of the observation lounge to a VIP guest suite on M/Y Meridian. She is scheduled to depart mid October.Further works include the final construction outfitting of a 80 meter Pilot Station Vessel in collaboration with Barkmeijer Shipyards. The 47.55 metre luxury yacht was built by Feadship Royal Van Lent in 1999 to a design of De Voogt Naval Architects and Sam Sorgiovanni Designs. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/616">Princess Too</a> is powered by 2x 1000hp Caterpillar 3508B DITA diesels, and has a range of 4500nm. She sleeps 12 guests and 10 crew.
